I went from a NC750 to a GS 1200 in December 22. An absolutely awesome bike, like night and day compared to the NC. Just come back from a 1000 miles of touring in Wales. Two up with luggage in the panniers. Handled all the twisty mountain passes and switch backs with no issues. Like riding a jet propelled arm chair 😂😂😂

Great to see you back on 2 wheels Nick and looking forward to seeing what bike Jodie gets too. Since we last spoke, I have bought a Royal Enfield Classic 350 red / chrome as a second bike to my CB500X and I am happy for the summer season now.

Hi from Texas. New Subscriber. That’s a Beautiful GS. I actually ride a 2006 R1200GS and Love it. It’s the only Bike I can Ride and not Hurt. I have a Really Bad Back, and Traded a old Harley for it. The Maintenance is really easy on these GS Bikes and I can do that and any Repairs needed myself. The Telelever Front End is a Game changer. I hope you have a Great Time on your GS, and I look forward to more Videos. Thanks for this one, you made a Great choice getting the GS.👍👍

Fortnine covered all the engine configurations in the latest video he wasn’t a big fan of the boxers but he’s not the one riding the bike. Is there any difference in the feel of the top heaviness over the other bikes you’ve ridden? Edit: road focused to me means alloys and tubeless so you can quickly patch a flat on the road versus spoked wheels and tube tire patches.

I used to think boxers were a silly idea too - until I bought one:). I have a R1250R (naked, road bike). The boxer is definitely easy to throw into corners. It has a nice flow.
BMW have been refining them for decades.

@@waynerobertson511 He did, or possibly still does. I don’t think higher center of gravity from a boxer is impacting cornering as rake angle does. I ride very tall Enduro racers, not sure what they are called over in other countries. High center of gravity but I have adjusted my rake angle to something that on the road would be considered extremely twitchy and easy to turn as it’s better at lower speed off road maneuvers. I can also adjust my rake and have it ride like an arrow straight and much more resistant to turning on the roads. The bike is the same, only the rake changed.

Hi Nick. Good to see you back on a bike. We've gone in slightly different directions since we both had NC's. I've now got a 2018 T100 and just love it. Is Jodie going pillion or are we getting another reveal?

Enfield interceptor orange just because of weight and usability , cafe runs don't need a world travelling machine .

Looking forward to this 👍 Quick question, on the Enfield 350 you serviced for Jo, when you did the valves, after service were they Tickety, I had a meteor but sold it, Now I've bought a Hunter and did the valves yesterday, I couldn't get a 2 thou gauge under the inlet and only a 3 thou under the exhaust, so I adjusted to "in spec", reassembled and went for a spin but they are now noisy, just wondered if you experienced the same, they were very tight. 🤔 I think I may check them again, but I have the TDC locking tool and I'm pretty sure they are correct, did them stone cold after standing for 3 days and turned the crank a few times before putting on TDC tool, just wondered if you experienced the same, a quick response would be greatly appreciated🙂
I didn't notice a sound difference, to be honest. Did you change the oil? Because it would probably have the thicker 15w oil rather than the 10w, which may make it sound more tappy. I wouldn't worry, to be honest. See if it gets worse and keep a close ear on it. It's always the same when working on your own vehicles. The paranoia kicks in lol.
@@nicksepisode Thanks Nick, yes I did the oil & Filter and cleaned the strainer 3 days before and used Castrol 4T Power 15w50 semi synth oil, so as per R/E recommendation, yes the paranoia kicked in 😄, I was going out on it again today, but raining hard, so used the CRF, I will keep an eye on it, but it did seem to be sweeter, 👍 if it gets worse I'll check them again, many thanks for replying 👌
Not sure if its of interest now your a bmw man but i have sold my k1600 and have some bits like power sockets and diagnostic stuff that is no longer needed
Hi Tony. The diagnostic stuff, does that work for my GS ? What did you get after the k1600.
@@nicksepisode yes mate it is the BMW diag Bluetooth OBD2 tool and I have the cable that fits the round plug on your bike and the standard OBD2 on the smaller 310
I ended up going in the other direct after a goldwing and a k1600 I got a cfmoto 650 Mt 1 yr old and loving it the power adaptors are the ones that turn the funny BMW socket into a normal 12v socket
