Is the 2020 Nissan Titan Pro-4X a Cheaper Ford Raptor?

- 2020 Nissan Titan Pro-4X review by The Straight Pipes. The Nissan Titan Pro-4X is pumping out 400hp and 413lb-ft tq from a 5.6L V8. Sitting at $69,998 CAD, would this be your pick over the Ram 1500 Rebel, Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, Ford F-150 Raptor?

TheStraightPipes maybe a ram rebel?
no
But congrats on subs
No i prefer the raptor becaus that V6 is CRAZY good and has a CRAZY good sound same like the new GT
And the new jeep wagoneer is coming out soon.
Ford Raptor nothing else.
I like that nissan being nearly in bancrupt still gives us something new and don t afraid to risk
Pickup trucks are hot sellers in America so they would be foolish to discontinue it. It’s like Toyota discontinuing the FJ Cruiser RIGHT before the SUV craze.
@@kevinnorris6558 its true that America loves trucks but the toyota tundra despite being a clear winner over the ford f150 its still looked at as "weird", now bring that to nissan and you're gonna look like a clown to traditionalists
Only Nissan of North America and if they did all the stuff there engineers show at auto shows they’d be doing great the pick up concept they had few years ago would steal pick up customers from the big 3
@@alibenkhalid4192 no its not a clear winner over the f150 the tundra sucks, but i will agree with you yes it is ugly
Robby O'Reece I don’t see clear winner anywhere, not even reliability. American trucks are far better built than their cars, and everyone knows that. It’s debatable if the Tundra does anything well for that matter. The Titan is a better option than the Tundra, it actually has technology from the 21st century for those who want it. The Japanese reliability that many believe is there. What does the Tundra even offer? A Hemi gives more refinement and fuel economy. F-150 and Silverado have more payload capacity and can be configured in so many different ways as well. It also feels cheap and unrefined, which would
have been fine, in the 90’s
Man can we get some appreciation for the camera shots? They go so unappreciated.
yeah except for 14:33 dunno what happened there but I'm surprised they didn't edit it out in post. They wanted to leave those camera wobbles deliberately?
justdoinurmom it was just a bloopers lol I dont know
Especially bc they had to have an off-road camera car that got steady shots
justdoinurmom left it in so you could leave that comment
@@YuriTereshyn what a gamer move, love the ranch though
I thought it said 4x cheaper than a Ford Raptor, and I was about to head to the bank to get a loan.

We can only hope
Same lmao
On average, you can pick one up 8-12k below MSRP.
I got my luxury pro-4X for 51 out the door
That transition at 0:07 was nuts
Damn, didn’t even notice! Impresive!
oh SHIT yes - that was beyond awesome. Good spot.
Just a morph.
Very nice. Small, but nice.
I thought it was bananas.
Great review, finally someone who was putting the Titan through a proper test. Overall it seemed to take your torture test well, I agree about the suspension not being dialed in, she was bouncing a bit, but I think Nissan did a stellar job on this refresh. I might have to pick one up at the end of 2020.
keep up the good work guys !!!
I have the exact same ninja 400 as you. How many miles you got on it?
Yes they said it's bouncy and everything they compared it to the f150 they tried but when you look a the sequence they put on the f150 a the same place the were going way slower than with the titan. Not sure the comparison is right
They were driving it Baja Style which you shouldn't drive anything that way unless you have a Raptor or a suspension built to drive Baja Style. They mentioned they were trying to drive it like a Raptor, but the bounces and inability to drift prevented them to really drive like a Raptor.
The Titan is an underrated truck. Many people just pass it up for a Toyota/Ford.
I don’t think people think much about a Nissan truck. It’s the harsh truth. I’ve probably seen 2 off these newer titans here in Oregon and lots lots of trucks here.
It’s because the marketing on the truck isn’t there. I have a XD Cummins and everyone is always mind blown and didn’t even know Nissan made a diesel.
Because Toyota and Ford are just better trucks
@@diegoibanez8318 factss
Because they stole alot from ford but made it bad.
Can't wait for you guys to reach 1 milllion. I'll celebrate by treating myself with some ice cream. 😊

Gotta go Rocky Road!!!
Every truck review you have done needs to be redone in this location! This was great!
I am the proud owner of a Nissan Titan single cab (Interestingly enough, Nissan made less than 7,000 single cabs Titan during their short 3-year production run, making it a bit of a unicorn among modern pickups). Absolutely love my Titan! You get so much bang for your buck that its a complete and utter steal compared to anything else in its class!
Also, a minor correction, the Nissan Titan has the most STANDARD horsepower, torque, technology, and safety features in its class, but not the most overall. For example, the GM 6.2L V8 makes more hp and torque than the Titan but you have to pay to upgrade to that engine. Basically, if you want 400hp or more in any truck you have to pay extra to get it, but not in the Titan. The same goes for torque, technology, and safety features.
Nissan is close to bankruptcy tho,
@@SM-1010 I'm assuming you're basing that info off of an old Donut video which is outdated and largely made irrelevant by current events. If you've been paying attention, you'd know that Renault just received a massive bailout from the French government. The French government cannot allow Renault to fail because it owns 15% of Renault. In the same way, Renault cannot allow Nissan to fail because they also own a percentage of Nissan and because Nissan is the big cash cow in the alliance. In short, Nissan won't go bankrupt because Renault can't go bankrupt because the French government won't allow it.
And the whole place stood up, clapped and carried you on their shoulders chanting Titan! Titan! Titan!
Got a 2014 titan sv and couldn't be happier with it
My man Yuri take it easy 🤣
That V8 sounds nasty, love it
Best sounding v8 for a half ton, toyota in my opinion sucks with the trd exhaust
No one:
Yuri: most badass steering wheel in class
The Only Kek 🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely love Nissan Titans! Great, dependable trucks!
Best actual truck, all the other new trucks do have alot of fancy stuff but this is all you need, solid engine, solid transmission, one of the best interiors it just works
This is surprisingly impressive. How come it got little to no coverage, even the more outdated Toyota trucks got better fame. Glad it's not CVT lol. I'm no American, just a big fan of these big-ass trucks. Freaking cool :D
Because when you think of trucks you think Toyota, Chevy, Ford, or Ram. Not Nissan.
A CVT in a truck would be horrendous
@@sofloflow if it could stay in the torque range? Maybe not.
cavalier liberty dont they slip like crazy though? Especially over rough / uneven surfaces. Thats what I've seen at least. I could definitely see the advantage of staying in the ideal RPM range for torque.
@@sofloflow i'm not positive, but they're supposed to stay in the ideal power band, which would help with towing in theory
Feels like a good option for the everday driver, sometime offroader mostly slow crawler, with comfort without the need to disable the traction control.
Nissan gave me the best deal on a new truck and i cannot complain ive beat this truck up both towing mudding rock crawling and daily and used 4 work at my ranch i cannot complain just thought id share my thought...✌
The towing capacity is actually 2nd best in class for the "off road" segment!
I like the Titan so much I bought one. All black Pro4x. I put a 4 inch lift on it with BFG tires. It's a beast.
What lift did you go with ?
I really wish they would release the Warrior concept they teased years ago.
They’re teasing us and not letting us finish :(
Same!!!
I didn’t know about the warrior ..... dammmmm it’s bad assss
This is THE most underrated truck, it is such a comfy truck, the 5.6 endurance is tried and tested and super reliable, their seats are so freaking comfy when I worked worked at a dealership I had to dealer trade a Titan across the state and I did not get sore in it where in almost other cars I’d have to get out after a while to take a brake from sitting for so long
It’s just a shame the lease deals SUCKS on these, so if you want one don’t lease it buying it is WAYYY more reasonable
Buying anything with interest almost always suck
This may be your last video before 1 million subs! I’m excited to see what’s next
Lol definitely not. We wish we could get 13,000 subscribers that quickly
TheStraightPipes the important thing is, you'll get 1m subs!
Btw my guess on the next video is a Maserati Quattroporte 2020. Maybe an S Q4.
The Titan is such an underrated underdog! And the 2020 update REALLY. made it a better truck but buyers in this class are so stubborn. Even if this was actually the best truck in class it wouldn’t get props because of the badge.
And damn Nissan, I hope all of your LED DRLs are this bright and sharp from now on! Never seen drls cause a camera glare in daylight. Saw one on the road the other day and they were super bright and crisp!
The reason that it doesn’t get ant props is because it is nowhere near the best truck in the class. Go drive a Ram, Ford, or GM truck and you will see just how far behind Nissan is. Trucks from US companies from 8 years ago are better than the Nissan.
@@mopar_dude9227 Sounds to me like you haven't driven this truck and the fact that you omitted Toyota makes me think you have something against foreign vehicles in general.
Josh Miller i mean...it says “mopar dude” in his name lol. Thats a key indicator that they have little to no foreign vehicle experience
The issue isn't the appearance of the badge. Nissan is just a dog shit company who makes inferior products. No one cares about the pros of this truck because Nissan as a company is trash, scummy, incompetent, and nearly bankrupt because of it. It would take a complete overhaul of the brand and their ideology/way of doing business before I would even consider buying a Nissan over the competition. And it would take yearsss of building a good reputation before I would even consider it. Nissan is an underdog because they deserve their placement there, as one of the worst automakers in modern times
@@WubblesMinecraftNissan doesn’t care if you buy or not, they don’t you😂
The only full-size pickup with a column-shifter. I wish more brands still offered it-- makes me all nostalgic.
Thank you for making a damn good off road review. Everyone has done off road when its muddy and we all know with the tires its not going to do too well. I did a 24 hr test drive with this truck and will be buying it. I love that its underrated which means there won't be too many out there!
Not really, but I would take this 100% over the chevy silverado trail boss just because of the lockers, looks and the V8 sound (yeah this looks better than the chevy for me) but anyway so pumped for the 1 mil Yuri and Jakub advanced Congratulations to the two of you God bless and more subs to come love lots from the other side of the world
How about the gmc sierra at4
I'd take the Trailboss for the 6.2L.
The lockers on the Nissan are more effective than the one's on the Chevy
Exactly. Also, the pro-4x does well offroad and is almost better than the trailboss.
Love my 2019 Pro4x.. you guys were spot on with the Bilsteins. I swapped mine out for Bilstein 6100’s and it 100% fixed the bouncy ride!
13K only more!!! Let’s goo!!!
I like it a lot. Not surprised you guys like it. Other reviewers were surprised how much they like it too
I just bought a 2021 Titan Pro-X and so far I love it. I live in a place that gets a fair amount of snow and the Titan has no problem dredging through snow and ice. I also got it to pull a decent size trailer, the V-8 has no problem pulling that trailer up and down grades thanks to the tow mode, standard brake assist. I love the interior, it has all the features I love. Excellent video guys.
Do you still have it? If so, how is it now?
@@Bagel_Biscuit Yes and my Titan runs great with over 60,000 miles. My Titan just got me out of jam when I had to navigate up a snowy dirt road on my way to brother in laws cabin in the mountains of California. Just put the bay in four wheel drive low and it went up the road with ease.
Love your content and the genuine reviews and friendship! Really brightens my day with the energy you put into your reviews.
Love the change of scenery for the review. Keep em coming guys.
I LOVE IT!!!!! I love all the upgrades!!!!!! It looks like a fun truck to have for everyday life!!!! I love the moon roof!!!! Great video and thanks for sharing!!!! I need to test drive one.
Excellent review as usual guys!!
A positive Nissan review. Wow times are changing. Good job Nissan
Looks like they drove the ford a lot slower than the titan. just saying
Ford is a work truck; Titan is an off-road truck.
I'm not a truck guy at all, but you guys are so good at this I still watched and really enjoyed this review. Good luck getting to a million!
Just got one last week and honestly it has everything I need. When comparing packages with other trucks you will get more with the pro4x. Overall it’s a great truck for my needs.
Really wish I could trade my f150 in for a pro4x titan. I liked it before the refresh but felt like it was behind in the interior and didn't like the headlights. I wish I waited now.
On a roll with the truck reviews
Absolutely love you guys and your work too the moon❤🔥. Keep it up!
Let’s face it no one rock crawls with their new trucks.. not even really off road.. we don’t tow massive max amounts (even then the differences are nominal). That’s why I picked the Titan pro 4x. I went with looks, noise and technology. Everyone seems to have a Ford /dodge or Chevy so I’m very happy with my Titan and being unique.
First off the Titan will always be a niche truck for a small demographic of buyers. Second if you ever go buy a Titan, the discounts are insane. I've seen them drop $15,000 from listed at dealerships.
Facts scored a 19 titan xd fully loaded with their lift wheels and tires for 43k 317 miles on it in January....no body buys them so the discounts are insane.
With Ram having their lifter and cam failures, ford having their 10 speed transmission failures, and GM having AFM lifter failures basically daily, i would say the 2020 and up Nissan Titan's have a "robust powertrain" advantage now lol... Just Sayin..
Would love to see future truck reviews on this same straight pipes trail
Nice video guys
awesome, Nissan coming back with the off-roads
The storage in back is also a gun holder thats why it's cut out for barrel to pass thrue . Whole point of the locks if u open both sides you will see exactly rifle shape
I never really thought that I’d be interested in a Nissan Titan. As far as big trucks go, the Ford Raptor, Ram Rebel, Toyota Tundra, and Ram Rebel really catch my eye.
But I think a Toyota Tacoma, Subaru Baja, and Honda Ridgeline fit my needs more
The Ridgeline isn’t really even a truck and the Baja? One of the ugliest vehicles I’ve ever seen
Just bought my 2020 Titan Pro 4X in Red Alert. Awesome looking truck, got a good deal on it, I considered the GMC AT4 and the rebel. Didn't choose the GMC, as it was $20,000 more (not including dealer discount, maybe I would have got a deal) with similar options. Didn't go with the Ram because reliability is questionable on a lot of Chrysler Fiat vehicles. Ram was similar price without the air bags and the 12 inch screen. I LOVE this truck, drives amazing, looks better. Also Great video guys, lots of fun
Wow, one of the best sounding single pipe V8s.
Just purchased a 2021 Pro4X so far best pickup truck I've ever owned, Wife still drives a 2004 Nissan Armada with zero issues. Nissan is sooo underrated

Dwight K. Schrute If it’s not a Quatrroportte, I’ll eat my shoes.
Are you still with Angela?
@@italofonseca7976 nice question
You will NOT regret getting this truck.
I think the biggest drawback for me is that it is the engine is GDI. Most truck buyers want a vehicle they will keep for a long time. How long before the intake valves in this truck are so gunked up that it starts losing performance? There are certainly aftermarket remedies but still. The Ecoboost had the same problem but they fixed this in 2018 when the added the port side injection in addition to the direct injection. I think this truck is unique and that is why it will sell but still not sure it is a better option than a Rebel. And with the interior on the 2021 F150s being vastly improved, I think I personally am going to wait for a non chrome FX4 in a 5.0 and maybe spring for a nice aftermarket exhaust.
This engine is NA so blow by will be a minimum VS an ecoboost that has a turbo, turbo plus GDI means hella gunk build up
nissan all the way. Second V8 5.6l. 10years and NO issues whatsoever. Eat that Toyota, Ford, GM and Ram!!
Nissan is getting back a it again. I like what they are doing with the new car redesigns.
Love this truck. So underrated. So unappreciated. Haters gonna hate.

Most underrated truck. American built. Reliable naturally aspirated V8, good low end torque. Reliable transmission. Can get relatively cheap and heavily discounted and not bad to look at. Only con, is limited aftermarket support

I test drove a 2020 expedition a couple months ago. I wasn't impressed at all, mostly because the interior comfort was garbage.
I thought about it and the 1/4 moon fender flares actually make sense. Anything flying around would be going down at that point in tire rotation and it give you one less section to break off against a tree or whatever "off road adventure" this truck could get into.
Kinda curious what the camera car was in this video 👀

I’ve always liked the Titan for some reason I’m glad they’re still staying sort of “old school” even on the newer gen trucks. I know they got a lot of criticism for the new generation but I think they could really be good with some improvements and working out the kinks. In any case it looks undeniably cool in my opinion.
I've been away for a while, but it was fun watching you two again. I appreciate the effort you put into your reviews, they are well thought out and polished, yet don't appear overly scripted. A cut above the rest! Hope you reach 1,000,000 subs! Yuri have you preordered an Element?

Hey guys, great video! I've been looking at buying a Tesla Model Y performance or Model 3 performance. Before I confirm, I want to see your guys take on the Model Y. Since you guys already reviewed the Model 3 performance, it would be nice for you to compare the Model Y with the Model 3 and other high-performance vehicles like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Mercedes AMG C63 or C43. Also, can you focus a lot especially on the driving dynamics? I hope you suggest my idea in the future.
