I play Cold War more than MW3, I played it more than MW2 and I played it more than Vanguard. It’s the best modern cod and honestly, in kahoots with COVID, the most nostalgic and enjoyable one to me too. I didn’t have the same significant experience on other CODS as a kid, Cold War has a special place in my heart
Same but bo3 for me, wish I touched more on this game which I’ve only played a couple times for zombies

What made it feel that way? I'm a veteran player who grew up on Big Red 1 and CoD 4, but I never played Cold War. What was different that made you feel unskilled?

@@HOIIIYEAA SBMM and because im really bad at the game. Used to be good on the Xbox 360/PS3 days when I was younger.
The other factor is because i get angry really easy when playing competitive games. So i started to only play single player or Coop games. I often get back into the mood for Cod or Battlefield but i always think "why bother?"

The biggest problem with CW was the over tuned SBMM, EOMM and skill based hit detection. My sensitivity always always felt different from game to game

That’s the main thing I dislike about these 150 hp cods. Weapons that one shot. They’re just extremely broken. Especially mw3 with the KAR now. Things broken.

I see where you're coming from. Having increased hp takes longer to kill so if someone has a sniper its really unfair. The only thing is that if they dont one shot or at least have potential to one shot theres no use to them.
@@ONoccasions and that’s fine. But they shouldn’t make them extremely fast and should add a lot more flinch to them. There’s no reason for me to get outgunned by a sniper who’s 7 metres in front of me especially when I’m shooting them . Im Fine with that on a cod that has a quick ttk but not when It has a slower one. In Cold War and mw3 I’m mainly using snipers because they’re quite literally the best guns in the game and I’ll admit funnest to because of how good they are but I don’t want it to be the only gun I use either.

One of the most underrated cods we've ever gotten, genuinely such a well made game (in terms of gameplay, structurally it was nightmarish but given its development cycle i dont care) . By FAR it's biggest issue was one shot weapons being too good, otherwise this game was amazing.
Also the sound of the medals popping up after a kill is PERFECTION.
Stiff game bo4 was better by far

Ngl you have a very bad memory. The amount of content we had for the longest time was very minimal. Way too low for a $70 game. Some of the OG maps were awful for search and the one hit / sniper meta was annoying too. It’s not terrible but it’s the definition of mid when it comes to cod games.

and people hated it with good reason, cause it was infested with one shot meta, Handler says it himself in this video, the same problem is plaguing MWIII right now except it was worse on this game when snipers barely had any flinch you'd be dumb not to use them every single round of SnD rendering all the other weapon classes useless. Turned this "arcade shooter" into a CS quickscope battle

I started following u from Cold War.
Cold War and mw19 are like the exceptions of these new cod games. And honestly think they're good and belong with the older cods before 2016
Cold War was honestly my favorite out of the post MW2019 CODs, loved the Zombies and the classic arcade gunplay
The only thing that really sucks is the hackers that can straight crash your game and leak your ip

This is the game where i finally dropped cod. The sbmm and other bs changes they were making to the game made the game super unfun and nearly unplayable. I dropped this game, and then skipped Vanguard entirely, only coming back for the newer MW games. This game is the reason I'm super hesitant about Black Ops 6. I'm gonna wait till the game comes out and i hear and see what people have to say about it.

Cold War was one of my favourite call of duty’s ever because of the movement and then one shot meta, all sniper lobbies made the game so much fun for me as it makes the game more about skill rather than luck
@@greensleavesgaming8505 how does a one shot meta make it luck? It means the first person to shoot the other person wins hence the more skilled person wins also the movement wasn’t over the top like mw2019 but it was still good enough for people to dodge and manoeuvre around opponents

Its strange how if someone is getting their ass beat they move to a reg gun. The snipers in Cold War were balanced fine because the ADS speed was the slowest in the franchise. The flinch issue was solved months after Cold War came out. I keep seeing people regurgitate this brain dead take.
I love this game. It's pretty cool. It has better gun sounds than stupid Vanguard. I didn't even bother with VAnguard. Nice game play man!!!!

I didn't hate it, I just didn't like it. I tried liking this game, I wanted to have fun in this one. I just couldn't for whatever reasons.
Same, though I loved the CW guns in Warzone. OTS-9, AK-47, XM4, C58 and finally Swiss, easily my most favorite bolt action rifle in videogames. I really liked the gold camo too, not a fan of covering the whole gun, kinda makes it look like a toy.

my god. takes me back to 2020 during quarantine, my job was shut down and i just played hardcore search and destroy on this all day every day. i got insanely good at it too. definitely miss it, except all of the cheating.
Really wish I played this game more when it came out think i dropped it about 2 months in the life cycle because the SBMM was so strong it made it not fun but I recently started playing again because after not really play mw2 and not buy mw3 cause it’s practically a dlc I’m sorta hyped for bo6 really hope it’s goof

Honestly, the only BIG thing wrong with the crossbow was that it was a Secondary instead of a special primary. The fact that it can be used alongside a primary to either be a backup up close or counter Trophy Systems is what's actually overpowered about it. The sprint speed was a little weird too, but it was otherwise balanced by taking TWO FRIGGING SECONDS in between every shot.
EDIT: On second thought, the hipfire was actually stupid too, it really shouldn't have been as good as it was.
SBMM is what held Cold War back from being a pretty decent CoD imo, for me anyway it seemed really aggressive.
people hated on this game but forgot it came out during covid so production was lacking this game wasn’t the best but better than what ppl make it out to be
real, it definitely got better as the game got more maps and guns. It was a rough launch for CW too though so many people didn't stick around to see that.
Idk why but fBO3-MW2019 I couldn’t get into any of those CODs. I played OG MW2 and came back last year with MWII and now MWIII. I hope B06 the movement feels good and guns feel memorable.
Uninstalled it last week. Played 4 games and got hit with the SBMM and quit… great game tho, but that sbmm is a no for me. Maybe I’ll come back one day

I think the only thing I didn't enjoy when it came to Cold War was the vast operators and whatnot. I miss just being give a random model based on the weapon I had. Other then that, i enjoyed the game quite a bit.

Cold War didn't have any worse sbmm than any of the other recent games. Maybe you're just bad at the game? Sounds like it to me. Sure, launch was bad and had not enough maps but once the ball got rolling Cold War was a solid game. Arcade style shooter that felt more like the older Cod titles. Plus a great campaign and fun zombies mode (which is too easy but overall was still good). If you genuinely think Xdefiant is better than Cold War you need help.

Maybe its sacrilege to say, But CW seems to be looking better (visually) than MW2019 nowadays. I downloaded 2019 again and I noticed a lot more shimmer at a distance compared to newer COD games but that might be also why MW3 looks blurred in so many places
