Ever since I saw the Elemental Nature set that is the set I wanted to build especially after seeing the Rancor tooth. And while this video has not swayed my decision either way it did show me that I might want to pick up some extra pieces like the whale bone because that looks like it would go really well with the white blade.
Matthew Doherty that’s perfect. Like I said, I don’t want to turn anyone off, but just know the facts before they buy. And purchasing other scrap pieces is the best way to get exactly what you want!

I dont know if it's been covered but does anyone know how long the kyber crystal stays lit for and if it lights up A: if you turn on your blade, and B if you hit the activation switch without the blade preset. The reason I'm asking is Sir James got me an elemental nature saber and I plan on doing some customizations including putting a "burn hole" in the back of the activation switch area so I can see the Krystal inside but I'm not gonna do it if it dosent light up frequently enough to justify it
Thanks for the video! These lightsabers look so cool. I just found your channel from looking for these GE Lightsaber build videos. I imagine fans will be making all kinds of customizations to these, so that will be fun to see. (P.S. pin this link XD! I am still going with elemental nature. After seeing Gungi's lightsaber in the clone wars series, I really wanted a lightsaber made out of wood. It just seemed like such unique material to make your lightsaber out of.
Right on! It’s a really fun set of pieces and the fact that it’s unique makes it even better!
I feel like each theme has a color that kinda matches with it, blue for peace and justice, red for power and control, green for elemental nature, and purple for protection and defense. But that is just my couple of pennies.

It makes sense when Hasbro did the 2005 ROS blue and red Anakin lightsaber where Anakin was telling Padme that peace comes about only because of power in the 2002's AOC movie! ... Many of us would buy that crystal or Legacy lightsaber that would flicker blue and red glow should they ever made it! ... Custom other possible mechanics then would be future rainbow lightsaber glow to confuse that 2005 Hasbro meaning? 😬😂

My nature build is a combination of the two. Take the saber James is holding and change out the emitter and switch to the ones Dan has and you'll have my elemental nature.

I’m going in April and I’m making the Elemental Nature just like yours but with the faux leather wrap, all the scroll-work pieces, D-ring and a yellow kyber crystal. I love it’s uniqueness and character
I'm a little bummed out. I'm finally going in two weeks and to hear they are sold out of various items due to scalpers buying out all the stock really discourages me. I know for sure I will be doing Savi's and Droid depot, but to hear they are all sold out of crystals, and personality chips is very disheartening. I'm still excited to experience the land, but i really wanted to be able to leave not only with the memories but with the pieces of the land I can take home. Hopefully they at least restock with the Yellow crystal AT LEAST. Ever since the light sabers were revealed i have always wanted the protection and defense with the yellow crystal. I guess we will wait and see hopefully when I update my experience it will be a fulfilling one! Thank you for all this content Dan-O! Your videos really hype and build the excitement to experience this land live and in person! I can't wait to see what you post next!

I think you'll be able to get a yellow crystal when you build your saber. That's a far bigger deal and attraction than having spares on the shelves. The fact that it's written into the script as a possible pick means they're going to hoard the supply as much as they need to in order to keep it available. By the time you go, they'll have gotten some shipments in.

The wood on that planet is very similar in texture and stuff to rubber on Earth obviously
They use this very rare wood that is as strong as metal for those sabers
Thanks for the review! I wanted to go Elemental/Nature when I first saw them but was unsure how the pieces would actually “feel” like. I’m definitely going to stick with it when I’m able to go.

Thanks for doing this video. I was immediately drawn to the Elemental Nature theme because it's different. I also think it works well for the idea of "connecting to the living Force". I am concerned about it looking cheap so I may change my mind once I see the parts in person. I'm loving that you can buy extra pieces from other sets and really make it your own.

SO GLAD you can purchase each part individually (even for 19.99), my ideal saber was a mix of Elemental Nature and Power and Control but didn't want to spent 200$ just to get the extra pieces, thanks for the great info and reviews!

You can’t anymore. It o pay lasted about 2 weeks before Disney stopped doing it. It might come back but it’s already been a few months since.

Elemental nature reminds me of the first lightsaber you get in Star Wars the Old Republic
I just had a childhood memory while watching. When I built my wonderful lightsaber, I realized when I was a kid I wanted one so bad and my dad made one for me instead of buying one because we didn’t have the money. He made the hilt out of vacuum suction pieces and the blade out of colored paper and a shit ton of paint😂😂 now I have a custom lightsaber from Disneyland. So cool. Thanks Dan-O for informing me on everything I needed to know before I went to Disneyland!
I honestly think the peace and justice and power and control the most as originality is such such huge factor in starwars and actually think they are the highest in quality also. Surprised I dont see them more often.
Love the collaboration! Great review. IMO the reason that all of Savi's sabers look a little "cheap" is that the silver is a matte greyish colour, which makes it look more like plastic than metal. A reflective metal would have looked much better if weathered properly, but would understandably cost more.
I haven’t made one yet but your and sir James doing the review on elemental nature has just secured that one as what I want when I take all my boys to build one have 4 and they are super excited thank you for all your reviews and just showing us what to expect when we visit galaxy’s edge

One of the things I like about this style is that it can easily work for either the light side or the dark. Peace and justice seems pretty Jedi focused, and power and control is obviously intended to be the Sith choice, but elemental nature just feels like it could go either way to me.
Thanks for this review. This is the saber I'm planning to build when I go later this year. I was worried that some of the pieces might seem too cheap, but after your review I think I'll build it anyway. It may be a little cheaper looking than the others, but I think it's the most unique design. I like the one you reviewed, but with the leather wrap instead of the maze looking piece.
Bella yeah it’s really unique and now that we can purchase scrap pieces, you can always buy other themes parts and make it even more unique!

I like the uniqueness too of the elemental and nature, along with the protection and defense. Power/control and Peace/justice are very remind me of what the movies typically showed. One thing bout the nature one is I wonder how the rubberized components will degrade after use. Also, the glue used to adhere it on. The thing I worry for protection and defense is how well glazed are the painted portions will last.
The main reason I built elemental nature is because of its uniqueness. I have almost all of the force fx sabers and they are all metal, very similar to the legacies with only minor differences. It's going to be nice to have something that's a bit different to those just for the contrast. I really do want to know how "battle ready" they are though and how much damage a blade can clock..

I'm sure there using switches more often than buttons for blade activation for functionality reasons, but I hope they will implement more buttons in the future and improve on the existing sabers that use them (as evidence by the slightly broken button on several of the Ashoka legacy sabers)

All those grips with rubberized feel I'm sad to say over time will get sticky on the hands over time. If you ever had any thing with rubberized material like a cellphone case or other electronic like a camera that had rubber on it gets sticky and also attracts dust . Hopefully you can other grips without rubber

I definately agree with James that the best look for the Elemental Nature is all the filigreed Brylark wood pieces plus the Bantha Leather Sleeve in the lower grip position. If I made and Elemental lightsaber that would be my choice. With a green kyber crystal.
Oh, but what about this design- Filigreed Brylark emitter, upper sleeve, and activation plate, then Cartusian Whale Bone lower sleeve and Rancor tooth pommel? I think the Tooth and Bone might look good together.
I feel like Disney kinda cheaped out on the whole lightsaber experience. The fact that some parts lack QC, the lack of being able to pick any part you want for a real custom experience, and the very high price tag for what you get all make me feel like I may not actually do this. I was super excited when I first heard about this opportunity at the parks, but now that everything is said and done, it is really disappointing.
Wish they made a set like Yoda lightsaber that's small for yinglings more like a shoto because I'm a dwarf and it would be cool to have a smaller one for shorter people
Saberforge makes full-power battle-ready sabers that looks almost exactly like sabers from the movies and legends. They have shoto size sabers too.

Thanks for the review. Elemental Nature or Peace and Justice were the two themes I have always considered. There are several aspects of Environmental Nature that I like, but some of my concerns are exactly what you bith identified. My son has already been to Galaxy's Edge and built a Power and Control which is very cool, and pointed out that Environmental Nature looked the cheapest. So I think I will look at Peace and Justice and possibly fill in with other scrap metal from Environmental Nature. Thanks for a great review.

I dropped my elemental nature saber in the park, and the tooth did crack. In fact it came clean off, in mostly one piece, and the metal part underneath was the only thing that remained. I was able to customize the metal piece underneath and make it look cool, but yeah the tooth can crack and come off

In my opinion: if you want to clip a lightsaber onto the belt clip, I suggest to get the metal D ring. Because one of the cast members that I heard said that the tech wheel broke since it’s made of plastic(I wish it was metal!).
Love this collab I only discovered both you and Sir James at the same time around when galaxys edge opened so its super cool that you are collabing.

I bought a generic bumper case for my watch and kitbashed it myself. Then I ordered a generic leather strap and burned in some aurebesh characters and the wren Starbird.

I will choose a blue crystal when I build elemental nature, but change it to a white crystal, the bottom sleeve will be whalebone, rancor tooth for pommel, but the leaf like waves for the top half

I think in my opinion the element nature is the best savis workshop lightsaber option because is so cool and nice and awesome and epic I really like animals and nature stuff so I think is the best style and opinion I really like it
I did want to buy this theme when I go, but the thing that really turned me off of it was the patterns dont line up.

You have first complete the building process at Savi's after that you can add more parts by buying scrap metal there is no other way to get the core

You can only get the core when you build a saber first and then you can buy extra scrap metal

I mixed and matched the parts on my lightsaber. The only piece that doesn’t look and kinda doesn’t fit right is the power and control switch. When I tightened the sleeves on the P&C switch it made this weird twist and click which made me think it broke my chaise.

I think it would look really cool if someone was to take the Rancor Teeth and put a little red on it to look like it was stained with blood plus have a red crystal in the saber

I just bought a nice shotgun sheath for my Ultrasabre. Might do it for my Savi saber when I get it.

A lot of people are saying the sabers break way too quickly, some before they even manage to leave the park.
I wish they sold the legacy cases separately for the Savi sabers.

Hey Dan-O, the Star Wars IRL channel has discovered the Disney Quick Change Blade can be removed from its black base housing (unscrews) allowing for a saberforge blade to be inserted into the quick change housing. Can you verify or try this for us?
Can u pllzzzz put a rancor tooth on the protection and defense saber u had on Sir James’ video! I planning on getting a protect and defense saber then buy a spare rancor tooth! I think it would look pretty sick.
What else is a shame is that the wheel that is used to clip your lightsaber onto the belt clip is made of plastic instead of metal. That’s the other thing you have to watch if you’re heading back to Disney Land, Disney world.

Anyways, this was very insightful!! Even though it my “look” the cheapest, it’s still the most unique looking out of the 4. So for that I think I’ll stick to making this my second build, and then just buy the extra scrap metal to build the others on the same chassis.
Me and my friend went together and after building swapped are badges and sabers to get spare parts from that set lol

I assume that the order of the sleeves can be changed (i.e. the Cartusion whale bone half doesn't have to be the upper half as shown in the video, but can also be the lower)?

Does it bother you at all, how thick these are? Can you really get the kind of secure grip you need for retention and control in combat?
That’s a good question. Thickness isn’t an issue but I think weight definitely is. I don’t do any combat, so my opinion doesn’t really count as far as combat. My perspective is that of a toy collector. These will sit on my shelf and look cool not engage in epic battles.
@@Dan-O it seems pricy for a decoration. But then again, people pay as much for a painting, picture, or even a mirror. And we all have our various "collections", some of which can easily cost in the thousands. :)
