@@OneHeckOfARide You could combine the parts from different sets, but you would have to make multiple trips to Savi's workshop as they only give you one set to build with in one visit. I know this is an old comment, but I hope you found your answer!
@@OneHeckOfARide You have to pick one "theme" to go with for the experience, so you can't combine pieces while inside, but you can now buy "scrap metal" again to put your own saber combination together. They're sold just to the side of where you'd pay for the Savi's experience in DL, and they go for 20 bucks each for two pieces.
I really like the way you displayed all of the pieces on the round table and then the two different matching completed sabers that you can make from each category. It helps a lot for someone like me to decide which I like best.
What you said is true about making reservations at night time. Mine was at 8pm during my 5pm-9pm reservation and after that for the last couple mins before leaving the land, I was taking pics and walking around enjoying my fellow lightsaber owners haha, looks so cool at night time
I just went yesterday man 100% worth it, one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Bucket list type stuff, actually feeling like you’re building a real lightsaber. Might’ve teared up a little at the end
Since you have all 4 sets, I'd love to see some of the interesting combinations you'd come up with using different sets. ie combining elemental with peace and justice and more!
I definitely enjoyed my time at Savi's and thought the experience is well worth the price, that being said, they could improve in a lot of areas. While the amount of choices is pretty good, I think at least one more choice for each piece should be available (Ex: 3 activation plate, 3 pommels, etc). I also think the yellow and white crystals should be available as a choice. I think the crystals are too important to hide behind another obstacle ( I personally wanted yellow). Lastly, once I got home from my stay at Disneyland, I noticed several cosmetic defects on my scrap metal. Some of the rubber parts that had to be glued on were not done correctly and made it look like a rushed job. Nothing that a little work won't fix. If you're a fan of the series though, I think this experience is a must if you visit Galaxy's edge. The lightsaber feels great and is a wonderful conversation piece.

I have 0 lightsabers but I really want Anakin's lightsaber to display, it's so beautiful. I'm torn between creating my own and his, maybe I'll get to buy both by the time I get to go
Thanks for the awesome review! I went last week from NY and picked up a protection and defense saber. However, they were out of Crystals! I really want a violet. If you (or anyone) plan on going - will pay + shipping! Keep up the great work
i really wish that they wouldn't limit the pieces to different sets. i really wish they let you pick whatever you want. some of my favorites are the Peace and Justice round emitter, the peace and justice sleeve with rubber grip, the leather wrapped sleeve from elemental nature, the etched sleeve from protection and defense, the darth vader style activation switch and whatnot. i really love some pieces from every set if i had to make one, i think i would have a hard time picking between peace and justice, and protection and defense. i think protection and defense with the etched silver sleeve on top, the flat emitter, the plain pommel, and the leather wrapped sleeve from elemental nature on the bottom would look really good. i also think peace and justice would look good with the power and control activation plate.
Thanks for all your videos. Went to Savi's last night and built a Power & Control saber with a blue crystal. The decision was made very easy thanks to you. Also snagged a Jedi Holocron for the hell of it.
Hey James! I've been a long time star wars fan, and found you through stunt saber video searching. I started watching more and more of your vids, liked them all, but as soon as I saw that Kingdom Hearts shirt I had no choice but to subscribe immediately. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for making such a detailed video! I will be visiting from overseas, and only have one shot at it, so this genuinely took all the pressure of off it (especially for someone with OCD) and I'll get to enjoy the experience without any worry whatsoever. So I genuinely thank you.
I went to the WDW Savi's and loved it! I really want to go again, but it actually hasn't opened to the public yet so I'm gonna have to wait for my Peace and Justice build.
I built Protection and Defense on December 11th, and immediately swapped in a yellow kyber crystal. Zero regrets on my choices, including the blade color. I built at 6:00 p.m., so it was well into winter night when I finished. If I build another one, I might schedule for an even later time. The saber is bulky and doesn't fit into baggage pockets on the thrill rides.
I already planned my build for my lightsaber. I am planning on doing Protection & Defense. I love that theme the most because of the markings and the gold. I am choosing a green kyber crystal, but when I go to Dok Ondar’s, I will be picking up a yellow kyber crystal plus the professional sheath and the Anakin legacy saber
I like the savis workshop sabers more than I do most of the legacy sabers especially since you can put a crystal in to change the blade colors just like in star wars.
I have experienced the Savi's workshop experience yesterday. It was my 27th birthday and I decided to do it. I went there thinking I would just make an appointment there but turns out you need to make an appointment online. Of course, bit bummed, I tried to make one later on but the Disney staff member who was there told me that someone canceled and had a spot open for me. So, I went ahead and took the spot and went in. Of course, I got the Elemental Nature lightsaber, because I wanted the Rancor tooth. Here is where I decided to mix things up and do something no one has ever done. When selecting the kyber crystal, instead of picking the one I want, I decided to pick one at random....while covering my eyes. Luckily, I was the first person to choose, so I had all available options for me, even the staff was surprised that I was choosing a crystal as my eyes were covered. In the end, I ended up getting the blue kyber crystal. Of course I can get new ones, but that was my chosen crystal. I loved the experience and my lightsaber and really enjoyed it. Glad I was able to do it.
I’m actually combining two themes to build my own lightsaber my way at home: one Elemental Nature emitter and the leather sleeve, and one of the Protection and Defense sleeves (the one with the most gold on it), the activation switch (the one with the bigger switch), and the endcap with the gold fins. And I chose the yellow crystal for mine.
Would you be able to let me know when they have the adult Jedi tunic in stock again? Went on Wednesday and had no luck. But kyber crystals were available again without needing to purchase the holocron.

Great video, James! Totally worth your efforts to get all the scrap metal pieces. What’s that giant photo behind you? Is that from GE or another thing? Greenscreen?
I kept wondering why your 'green' crystal was a flashing brown color until I realized you must be using a green screen effect for your background. As to 'my' lightsaber, I'd pick either the Elements & Nature theme with a green crystal, the 'ivy' patterned emitter, pommel, activation tab, and upper sleeve, and the 'bantha leather' lower sleeve/grip. Or, the Protection & Defense theme with a blue crystal, the gold flange emitter, pommel, and upper sleeve with the big gold button/three copper rings activation tab and the three-copper buttons lower sleeve/grip or the black and silver/copper ribbed lower sleeve/grip.
My son built one today and we are already having issues with threading of bottom hand grip above the pummel. There is only one thread to connect the bottom to the power switch portion. So once you start playing with it, it loosens and disconnect (Element - Nature is the one he built at Hollywoods Studios Galaxy’s Edge). Talking it back for a replacement or fix. We had an issue with the Disney Marathon blocking all the roads so we could not make our time, so we called and Disney cancelled no problem, and then they got us in later in the day. But the quality looks good upfront, and the experience is awesome, but the threading problem is frustrating.
@@umbra1134 yes!! There is also an empty spot in disneyland Paris what the possible location could be for Galaxy's edge. It's all not official though, but the chances are high that this info is true. Dont get your Hopes up though, they could delay it and all

So what saber types do you think they will add next. when they show off the pieces in the little filing cabinet thing. They had extra drawers on the bottom possibly hinting at soon to come saber types
Do you have a video doing mix matching of protection and nature? I think the wrap sleeve would work well with the protection style but have a hard time visualizing it
Hey Sir James, I was wondering if you could maybe do a video about the entire process of Savi’s Workshop. Not just the actual building experience, but how reservations work and paying and actually getting in and all the stuff before the actual building? I’m going to Disney World in Florida this coming October and I would like to do the Savi’s workshop experience but I’m also very socially anxious and I have no idea how the whole process works other than the actual show and I haven’t seen anyone do a true in-depth video about the process and not knowing how it all works is just a little scary. Thank you!
cdeuce Riley he only has 3 cores so that’s $600. From what I understand, they sell the “scrap metal” parts from time to time so you can get parts you may want to change/combine.
Love the videos! Going for the first time next month. Can you buy separate pieces by themselves or did you just buy enough lightsabers to own all the pieces? Because there are some pieces I like from multiple "groups"
Hiya, I wonder if I could ask a favour? I'm coming to the disney world galaxies edge in a few months time, all the way from the UK. I plan to build a custom saber and take it home with me but I need to work out how to safely get the blade home, is there aany5chance you might be able to measure the length of a standard blade so I can figure out how I can pack it to bring it home with me? Thanks in advance 👍
I don't know if you've been yet. But you can disassemble and separate the hilt from the 'blade' the blade is 31 inches so make sure your suitcase can accommodate that beforehand
Hi, I’m going to Disneyland at the end of next month. Super pumped since it’s my first time in any Disney park. As an annual pass holder is there a certain path/route you’d recommend for a newbie to fully experience the Star Wars experience? Thanks again and love the channel :)
Can you show us a video of some of the combos, from different themes, you think look nice? Also thanks for your videos, my goto for everything Galaxy's Edge!
Sir James, Dok-Ondars is out of the ice light saber sheaths. I am still looking before I leave on the 23rd. Just trying to get ideas of others thoughts about buying when in stock. Any thoughts ?
Hi. Love the videos have found them very useful . Traveling to Galaxys Edge from the UK have booked my experience already for 27th Sept could do with knowing what set would be the lightest and also the weight of some of the legacy lightsabers would like to buy both but restricted on weight to fly home , Just hope the blade fits in my case! Thanks again for the great videos,,,Chris
The default lightsaber blades you get in Savi's workshop are 31 inches, or 78.74cm, it should fit if you stick it in diagonally for a decent-sized suitcase. The hilts weigh roughly the same when assembled, 2-3 pounds, or 1-1.3 kilos. If you don't want to carry your saber with you it can be shipped to the front of the park via First Order Cargo, along with other merchandise.
For everyone planning to go here, don’t get your hopes up. Don’t get me wrong, it was the COOLEST experience I’ve ever experienced in my whole entire life. It literally felt like we were in the movie doing side missions, being a part of the main story, helping the resistance or the first order and helping Rae and Chewbacca escape along with so many other things. But If you are going thinking your gonna cosplay and feel that AMAZING feeling of carrying around your light saber and your awesome cosplay outfit while going on the missions…..then your dead wrong. Absolutely NO LIGHT SABERS ALLOWED, NO MASKS ALLOWED. And if you have these out, expect to be approached in the most aggressive manner. Even when you are calmly just walking around with it turned off. What makes me so mad is that they SELL high quality EXPENSIVE light sabers.(for example you can only buy 2 per person and me and my nephew got 4 custom built light sabers but us totally at around $1,300) but the second you have them out, you are gonna get approached by the staff like you have a real weapon. Half of the staff will say it’s okay as long as you don’t turn it on, some of the staff say it’s okay if the blade is out and a lot of the staff say no light sabers at all. Don’t get me wrong, I can understand they are worried light sabers will be swung by kids and hurt somebody but AT LEAST let us carrying them. They should have a “no swing rule” or a “don’t turn your light saber on but you are more than welcome to walk around with it to feel apart of the story. It makes me so mad they want to make all this money off of selling them and then as soon as you get them out, you get in trouble. I don’t even collect light sabers, I only bought them for the purpose of being immersed from the story at the hotel just like everybody else who bought one, only to be told you have to put them away the instance you take them out in a calm manner just to walk around with. It’s every kids dream to walk around with a light saber while your at the galactic star cruiser. I’m 26 years old and my Star Wars hobby died when I was 12 but the hotel sparked that love for Star Wars since it was so immersive but to be aggressively approached just for holding it safely while walking around just made me very upset and scammed for $1,300….
Have you found that any of the pummels tend to muffle the speaker noise worse than others? I was particularly curious about the 2 peace and justice ones.
Hi Sir James.. just went to Savi’s Workshop yesterday and they stopped selling scrap metal. 😭😭😭. I went there because all I wanted was a power and control emitter. So sad
Hey I just came back from Galaxy's Edge this weekend. It was my first time visiting and I came from Texas. But was really disappointed when I got there to find out that...yet again...they were sold out of Kyber crystals and the only way you can buy one is to buy a Holocron, which I did. But I wanted to collect all the other colors. I had kept hearing that they were back in stock again. But apparently not. Nor were the personality chips either. Don't know when I'll get another chance to head out there, so it really sucks that they keep selling out of these things.
Weird question, have you heard anyone talking about flying home with their lightsabers? Do people check them, use them as a carry on bag, does TSA give any trouble if you have them as a carry on?
Rice Sama TSA should pass it as a carry on, or you can try mailing it to yourself. For the plane, you can probably find a space in the compartment or ask a flight attendant.
It sounds like with the reservations there's a new way of picking what type of lightsaber you want to make. is the case does not change the experience and now it's not as awesome having not being able to find somebody and ask them if they have any scrap metal?
Update Disney World increased the prices of Savi’s workshop to $219 plus tax use to be $199 + tax
Can you get, say an emitter from "peace and justice" and a sleeve from "power and control"?

@@hv8_8 2024?!
@@umbra1134 yes!! There is also an empty spot in disneyland Paris what the possible location could be for Galaxy's edge.
It's all not official though, but the chances are high that this info is true.
Dont get your Hopes up though, they could delay it and all
@@hv8_8 but...is going to have some kind of savi's workshop?
Great video, questions on the rancor tooth is that only available with the elemental kit? Can't mix with the power and control parts? Also is there a way to carry the rancor tooth end on your belt wasn't seeing a d-ring on that?
Do you think every galaxies edge park should have different versions of savis with different scraps
So what saber types do you think they will add next. when they show off the pieces in the little filing cabinet thing. They had extra drawers on the bottom possibly hinting at soon to come saber types
I appreciate how much time and effort are put into these videos. I don’t go there a lot so it is very entertaining.
Thank you!
3:57 there is blue and also clear
Did anyone else realize that the green crystal became that background cause of the green screen?
I can’t believe he has all of them, I’m so jealous
all sabers would be $800 alone, cant imagine with the crystals and holocrons ontop of that.
Kpoole25 he has all the pieces so you have to double that $800...
cdeuce Riley dude needs a girl to spoil with that kind of money spent xD
cdeuce Riley he only has 3 cores so that’s $600. From what I understand, they sell the “scrap metal” parts from time to time so you can get parts you may want to change/combine.
Corey Vernaccini god almighty that’s still an egregious amount
Any tips on how to make saber parts line up? Specifically for the peace and justice parts with the Golden circles?
I got lucky for mine some say they used a thin O-Ring in the parts to make there parts line up
Love the videos!
I wondered if they might’ve had pieces from Enoch Cordova‘s light saber from Star Wars Jedi fallen order
Awesome
Sir James... need your help to build a custom Peace & Justice w/ a red Kyber and an extra piece of the black sleeve scrap.
send me a email at compaqcq60@live.com
SirJames I Gamerfuzion yessir! Thank you so much!
I guess I'm totally weird. I'd rather have the Vader Saber or the Skywalker saber. I guess because I've pined over them since 1977.
i just wanna know what the rubber feels like. I probably won't get elemental nature if the wood and leather don't feel right
qustion .. how do you know if the battery is dyeing ? and and how you know if it time to change the battery ?
Could you do a video with peace and justice and elemental nature combined?
Have you found that any of the pummels tend to muffle the speaker noise worse than others? I was particularly curious about the 2 peace and justice ones.
Love the video! Any chance you could create every combination for all 4 sets?
Sir James white and yellow kyber crystals are back in stock as of this morning
I am going in a couple months to build one! I was wondering what the rancor tooth is made of? Does it feel light and cheap?
Such an underrated youtuber
I’m confident that elemental nature has some duty and resolve parts
It does
Are you allowed to ask during the build to mix from the four different categories?
Man i want to build a lightsaber out of all the options available
anyone who has made one of these, are they combat worthy? If I wanted to use them as a prop in a short film, would they hold up?
The Sword Sage yes they are watch Star Wars in real life durable test if still skeptical in his video they showed they are very combat worthy
Yeah they are but don’t swing them around thing baseball bats
I have a question, what should i do go to savi's workshop and build a lightsaber or buy a legacy saber?
That is up to you Do you like the legacy sabers more or prefer to having one not related to a character
Arnau Marimon Do both like I am 😂😂
Nice little set u got. It'd be nice if every year or so if they come out with different styles.
@@Dizyland_ to expensive i think XD
This was a very well made video!!!! Good job keep up the great work!!!!
is there a video on how to craft a duel saber that come apart?
Were that turntables for the saber parts an esty custom? They're pretty cool
just something off ebay that can be used for anything
Hi Sir James.. just went to Savi’s Workshop yesterday and they stopped selling scrap metal. 😭😭😭. I went there because all I wanted was a power and control emitter. So sad
Can you build your coustom jedi fallen order saber with these parts?
Hey I just came back from Galaxy's Edge this weekend. It was my first time visiting and I came from Texas. But was really disappointed when I got there to find out that...yet again...they were sold out of Kyber crystals and the only way you can buy one is to buy a Holocron, which I did. But I wanted to collect all the other colors. I had kept hearing that they were back in stock again. But apparently not. Nor were the personality chips either. Don't know when I'll get another chance to head out there, so it really sucks that they keep selling out of these things.
If it comes with a 31" blade, then it's smaller than the blades sold at dok ondar? 31 " is the entire length? How much of the 31" is illuminated?
Is it posible to recreate the darth vader saber with those pieces?
Weird question, have you heard anyone talking about flying home with their lightsabers? Do people check them, use them as a carry on bag, does TSA give any trouble if you have them as a carry on?
Rice Sama TSA should pass it as a carry on, or you can try mailing it to yourself. For the plane, you can probably find a space in the compartment or ask a flight attendant.
Can you mix themes; or do you just choose one? Can you have apart from peace and Justice mixed with parts from protection and defense?
Whatever you selected you have to build from if you buy multiple savi sabers then you can mix them up outside of the experience
It sounds like with the reservations there's a new way of picking what type of lightsaber you want to make. is the case does not change the experience and now it's not as awesome having not being able to find somebody and ask them if they have any scrap metal?
