Peekskill FD Engine 131, Tower Ladder 45, Engine 132, & Rescue 134 Responding

  • Peekskill Fire Department Engine 131, Tower Ladder 45, Engine 132, and Rescue 134 responding to a residential CO alarm on Fields Lane in the Chapel Hill Complex in Peekskill, New York. Car 2341, Car 2342, and Car 2343 from the Peekskill Fire Department also responded to this call, but are not seen in this video. Car 2341 reported the alarm was set off due to a faulty detector and that there were no readings and all Peekskill units went back into service.
    The units seen responding are:
    Engine 131 - 2018 E-One Typhoon (1750GPM/780GWT)
    Tower Ladder 45 - 2002 E-One Cyclone II (2000GPM/300GWT/100FT RM)
    Engine 132 - 1996 Pierce Saber (1000GPM/500GWT)
    Rescue 134 - 2006 E-One Cyclone II/Saulsbury (500GPM/400GWT)

    Is there any problems for the firemen to blare the Q on the Rescue 134? It seemed to work fine.

      Looks like they hit the Q to clear the intersection.

    Where i live, they send a quint or truck only non emergency for CO alarms unless theres reported illness. Then a med unit goes with the quint or truck emergent.

    Nice catch, is peekskill volunteer? Last I heard they were paid but not sure if they switched to a some paid/some volly now

      Thanks! They're combination. Paid staff take the apparatus and volunteers theoretically supplement them on scene, although I'm not sure how many active volunteers they still have. This has been the setup for quite some time now; they were never fully paid.

      @@LowHudEmergency Okay interesting, figured they had a similar setup to what Scarsdale has. Thanks for the info, I'm south Westchester so our depts are paid (minus a few circumstances)
