- In this little video, I do a walk and talk or I post the question about Facebook groups and how you feel about people who seem to troll and spread negativity within our Villages Facebook groups.

Frank I’ve been watching your videos for a very long time. You are always positive and such a great resource to those of us that are part time in keeping us up to date with all the latest happenings, especially the new construction. Do not let the social media warriors get to you. There will always be the negative Nancy’s. Stay true to who you are and don’t engage with negativity. You all live in paradise and for those who don’t see that, that’s just really too bad. I enjoy your videos and can’t wait to get there full-time. We currently have a patio villa in St. Catherine and come down multiple times a year. Can’t wait to be there full time. I will avoid the negative people at all costs. You should too! You’re a blessing to many of us. Thank you for all you do!
Yes i agree… I refuse to engage with people who are just looking to argue! But that was the premise of the video and asking people how they handle these situations when they run across them thank you for watching.
I commend you for taking control of your health Frank. I totally agree with you about Facebook. I rarely make a comment now and don’t even view Facebook as much anymore. Too many ads as well as negativity.
Great video Frank. Keep up those walks, you’re doing great! Walking was a much nicer, more relaxing journey with you than by golf cart or car. Thanks for posting and sharing with us - We all appreciate your thoughts and time.

Hi Frank. That was a really enjoyable walk. We live in Michigan and have visited The Villages three times. We plan to move there in a few years. In the meantime, we appreciate hanging out with you and seeing the sights and learning about the area as it develops. Keep up the great videos. Brian and Debbie.

I find for the most part, people do and try and help with good advice. However, yes there are "those" who are very tough behind the keyboard. If they start in on me, I simply reply with "you have a great day sir or ma'am". Keeping the peace like you, Frank.
I may not do well in TV because I’ve heard you need FB to make friends. I don’t use FB & have zero desire to. Don’t own Alexa either. I value my privacy & don’t want to be tracked & end up with emails from every company that wants to sell me something.
Well, you really don’t need Facebook to meet many wonderful people here and TV.

I’ve been a part of the yo-yo gain, lose, gain lose and never really accepted the concept of for life - life style change ….. but know today it’s for life and there are just some things I need to avoid or at least not be as tempted to….. motivation is that in the end, leads to better health and cheaper - clothes fit, more energy … acknowledging the extremely positive value is sometimes the motivation I need to stay the course. Frank, Great video with those views. What an area for a walk.. Not full time yet but did purchase a home in The Village’s between Spanish Springs & Lake Sumter. Will hopefully be full time within the next 2 years from Southern California..

@@retiringtothevillagesflori197 Yeah, you are right. The 2 years will come fast. I’m as good as retired already but Carol has 2 more years with school district so she can get retirement. We are in Rancho Cucamonga (So Ca). Hopefully we will run into both of you when we’re out there.

I was listening to this video and couldn’t agree with you more.
We live in Citrus Grove and I’m not on Facebook. We have met some very nice people and neighbors without social media. I occasionally read Nextdoor and talk of the villages and the whining, complaining, and keyboard courage is nauseating.
It doesn’t matter where you live. If you complain that much you’re miserable anywhere and it makes me wonder where did you come from where you thought it was so great that you had to move here and start complaining?
I can’t be bothered. There’s too much positivity in The villages and in life, and I need to start working on my golf game more, enjoy good friends and family and the good people around us.
Keep up the good work, enjoy our beautiful neighborhood and do what I do….. I made it my entire life without joining any social media and I’ve done just fine,… too much negativity, life is short and we live in one of the best places in the world.

Im hoping to be living in the villages in the next year or so. I did sign up for some fb groups for good information about living in the villages. I always take into account some people are just negative

Message boards and FB groups are a double edged sword. I have learned so much about the Villages but don't do something like spell Lake Sumter Landing wrong because the claws come out and you'll be crucified like I was.
Frank, I always enjoy your videos, just don't let it get you down, ditch brag book not worth the time, anyway, keep up the excellent videos you provide.

That was a beautiful walking path! Where was it? We are moving there next week. With all my unpacking, sons graduation, and working, I probably won't be on any walking paths too soon yet.

I haven’t been on Facebook for a few years now simply because it annoys the heck out of me. I may go so far as to say it angers me at times so I just removed myself. Now I have to divorce myself from TikTok. It’s addictive. I ignore the comments and don’t respond.
Yeah, that’s generally the best philosophy, me personally, I got rid of TikTok .

The answers you seek are within your own video - enjoy your "real" life in such a beautiful place, savor each sunrise/sunset, listen to the birds, & do not get caught up in the pettiness & negativity of the fake/online world. There is a lot of psychology at work regarding the problems you mentioned. Look into "cognitive dissonance", & understand that these trolls are profoundly unhappy in their everyday lives, so "they're not happy until you're not happy". They are aching for a reaction - don't give them one. There is a handful of wannabe know-it-all women who must comment multiple times on every Villages-related video on RUclips (I'll bet you know who they are), & I just laugh, because much of their information is incorrect. One of them only comments (Jerry and Linda's videos) to correct people's spelling - that's her only input. It makes her feel superior. Truly sad. Ditch Fakebook.
