Bridal Catria is so insane that IS never release a hero like her again after. So she is up until now the only holder of triangle attack.
There are other characters with Triangle Attack built into them, but she's the only one who can give it to her entire team (thank god).
Tbf, there’s almost always a skill that units can inherit and then they make that ONE unit that can give said skill to allies and in vise versa.
Examples:
- Null-Follow Up 3, Legendary gives Null-Follow Up and Inf Null Follow-Up.
- Canto skills, Eliwood gives Canto/Bonus Doubler.
- Miracle, Ymir (I think) gives miracle.
- Armor March-ish, Sigurd’s Holy-Knight Aura.
Aaaand now with Duo Cordelia we have almost the same thing lol

Tbh, i feel like F!Edelgard still deserves a spot. Sure, B!Hector was extremely powerful, but you could still play around him with B!Ephraim, thats how i dealt with him back in the day.
F!Edelgard, however, was a literal Gatekeep. I remember my dreams got crushed the moment i saw my +10 bulky Roy get absolutely deleted by an unmerged F!Edelgard in Arena. For a while, F!Edelgard had no posible counters, even B!Hector lost to her easily. Tbh im glad she now gets to be countered by literally anything, but its so sad they both pressured the meta so much
back when I played not even she could counter herself, then again I might just suck
ikr nowadays there's options to counter her and all but I remember how absolutely opressive she was in AR.
Absolutely F!Edelgard deserves a spot, sure B!Hector was annoying to deal with but you don't really needed a team made just in case he appeared, unlike FEdelgard who you always had to have a team specifically made to deal with her and even then you could still lose, she there of the meta so much that IS had to make anti FEdelgard units that nowadays are permanents in the teams just in case.
You either attacked her before she transformed, or give her the flash effect and play around her self healing A LOT. Ironically, fallen Dimitri was one of the few counters that somewhat worked.
i agree about F!Edelgard. Literally the mythic/duo/legendary/etc after her release for almost a year were specifically made to counter her(L!Byleth for example)

The thing i find funny about the long Skill descriptions is that FEH decided at some point to introduce keywords for skills and effects.
But they still put the description of the keyword in the same textbox, invalidating the need for said keyword in the first place. They really need to make a glossary for these things. Or put the status description on a separate window
Imagine playing Summoner Duels. You see a unit you haven't seen in a while and forgot what their weapon does, and you check their weapon description. You are on a time limit though so you have to be fast, and here comes Nailah slapping you with the entire screen full of text. In this time limit you are expected to not only read that and plan how to work against that.
Now shorten that wall of text, but add math to it. Well congrats you have Askr. Oh but how about making it both long and adding math onto it as well as a whole 'nother skill with a long description. Congrats you have Yune. Now have a unit with 3 unique skills and all of them having long texts that you have to go through well here are the Duo units with a prf skill and long weapon description like Summer Edelgard which also requires you to quickly triangulate the formation of your team to make sure you aren't having everyone on your team within her very unforgiving range as the one getting attacked by her.
BTW for Askr lets compare him to Ash real quick in text size. Askr is a little shorter at a glance, but then you have to realize IS no longer seperates the skill descriptions. They just make it a straight up wall now. Ash has slaying, seperates the text tells you what her weapon does, seperates the text and gives the beast transformation. Askr is just a wall. Many units with long descriptions especially beasts just no longer have that seperation unless its a status effect. You guys ever try to read Caineghis on the fly. All these stupidly long descriptions. And then there is Sothis. Sothis refine may have sucked, but at least she minimizes reading and that's always a good thing.
This game is the biggest example of "GGs shake my hand" that I've seen. Hadn't played in a while, went into SD to get some of the nice rewards and I come across a team with summer Edelgard and Halloween Duma, with Edelgard moving and killing like 3 three of my units in rapid succession. Because....I didn't read their skills. Hell, I didn't know armored units could move 3 spaces but i guess that's the point we're at now.

I think I appreciate Micaiah and her brave alt more just for having a straight forward weapon that I don't need to dedicate a research project to just to figure out how they work while they still manage to be effective.

No mention of Yuri? He gets +1 movement by default, canto, and swap spaces with someone 3 spaces away
and moves after swapping lmao. He's in my team as an attack/support hybrid, a fucking menace in both 3h & feh

Absolutely, should’ve took sp!marisa’s spot. Atleast She doesn’t share color on her banner for merges, got a good speed and some attack. Sp!Xander litteraly can’t hurt anything with his wet noodle atk. And his only good stat (def) + healing in weapon staight up is useless when he’ll always die to the second hit.
Summer Leo is worse to me. Spring Xander can't kill anything well but he at least he might not die. Leo can't do anything. He's his base version minus the horse and prf. And he was already bad with those.
And let's talk brief about that tomato tome. You will never convince me that's not a joke weapon. At least the carrot heals.

I completely agree with the text problem. Nowadays I just don't care reading all of that, I just throw my units to those characters to see if I can kill it. If it does, great. If not, then I read that wall of text to see what's the problem.
Like yesterday I was doing Book 6 last chapter and I didn't care about Young Tiki skills at all, I just throw my Hapi at her to kill her. I did the same with Embla using my Brave Dimitri.
What really bothers me is that OG dancers and Prf-less seasonals WON'T get refines, meanwhile Legendary Azura and seasonal units who had busted prfs (for their time) _DO_ get refines. I mean, what is the logic behind that? Aren't refines supposed to help bad units catch up?
And I mean sure, with Arcane weapons coming out, you can argue that every prf-less hero can now get a prf weapon. And... well, I want to call it a band-aid fix, but it actually _is_ a stroke of genius. All things said and done, Arcane weapons are a really good fix to prf-less seasonals and dancers. It STILL makes me mad OG dancers still don't have Prfs tho... I mean come on.
Fr... where are my Olivia, Azura, and Ninian refines? they are crying. Especially the versions that do currently have prfs. PA Azura and Flying Olivia were skipped too... Does this mean Fallen Ninian will be skipped as well?
Staff demotes also don't get refines. My girls Sakura, Maria, Mercedes, Lena, and Natasha being left to suffer. And now Nyna is joining them too 😭😭
Gachas are games that revolve around popularity, rather than balance. Making more alts of a popular character means it is more likely for people to spend money on them. The reason certain units even exist (like the axe users mentioned in the video) is to appeal to certain groups of fans that are known for spending a lot on this kind of games, such as fujoshis, regardless of whether the unit is good or not.
For real, why do they hate gen 1 dancers and healers so fuckin much?? Not like they’ll ever break the game and many of em are fan favorites

Do you realize that these banners are made 5-6 months ahead? It's not entirely IS's fault for adding in Nyna, especially as an infantry staff unit. She was going to show up eventually.

I honestly hate how IS feel the need to cram 4+ skills into one skill nowadays, I liked it better back when the skills were simple and weren't a whole novel.
Disagree about Fedelgarbage. If Hector blew the meta to the stratosphere, she pushed it further into the exosphere. She's the most annoying, still living crap out of her banner, not even outmatched by fallen heroes a year later bc IntSys don't want anything be better than their wairfu.
I agree with you about Brat Catria, on the other hand. Not only from the gameplay aspect of her infuriating drive skills IN HER WEAPON ALONE (one of the reasons I quit AR-O), but also bc, like Fedel, she's still everywhere after so long time. Reminding me of the insult her existance as a SoV unit is. After waiting for over a year for Seasonal SoV representation, we've got THIS for NO REASON AT ALL. Catria took the spot of literally any SoV woman who would be a better bride! Frikkin LEON would be a better bride than her ffs. And to top it, after this disaster, that's it for the ENTIRETY of 2021 for Seasonal SoV rep. A character who isn't even from Valentia, who already has a Seasonal on her own... Meanwhile, Celica (a lord and CYL winner) still has no own Seasonal TO THIS DAY!!
Catria is very popular in Japan though, in both New Mystery and SoV polls

These weapon and skill effects wouldn't be nearly as bad if IS actually knew what keywords were used for. "Yeah we'll list down this keyword, [Canto (Rem +1)] That way, Players will know this effect via its keyword. Lets also write the entire effect of this keyword in the skill itself, thus completely nullifying the purpose of making a keyword in the first place, and increasing the length of the text by a significant margin."
That's probably because any units with canto could be a player's first summon that has the skill, and they might not know what it means initially. The best solution would be to have a pop-up window show up whenever you tap the keyword that describes what it means and does, and when you're done reading you can tap it again and the information disappears.

I have NEVER heard of people thinking Arya was going to be free (especially when they saw her as particularly strong from the datamine) as a day one player. If this was a commonly held thought, then most of 'Aryagate' was a creation of their own stupidity.
There was alot of drama over it. People were following the pattern as said in the video. But yes unfortunately assumptions and expectations are bad lol
9:23 the true counter to bride catria is a effect that blocks "unit attacks twice" skills. If i designed this skill, id make an exception for those that have PP unconditional brave attacks (like the standard brave weapons), basically those that are not a full might.

As someone who has a +10 Spring Marisa I would argue that she isn't useless at all. Since I personally refuse to use save tanks I use her and Base Marisa as omni tanks in AR Offense and she works very well in that role. Now yes I wouldn't recommend anyone to invest into her but if you do she does have a use. Now someone like Spring Lucina is a unit with no use at all.

Summer Frederick, Summer Leo, Spring Lucina, Bridal Caeda, Spring Camilla, Spring Xander (literally considered the worst unit in the entire game btw), how tf did you choose to go with Spring Marisa? Just because her BST is lower than a more recent unit? She still has workable Spd that lets her pull off insanely fast speeds. My Dive Bomb Marisa go crazy.

Honestly I'd have put on Young Caeda because being super effective against more than 50% of the game with a free vantage was STUPID
The introduction of save skills and the overall speed of powercreep in early 2021 had me pretty frustrated with the game, but L!Sigurd was the last straw that promoted me to uninstall the game for 6 months. I eventually reinstalled the game when book 6 came out, but I don’t play any of the flagship modes seriously anymore.
B!Catria was released shortly into my hiatus, but I still followed the FEH Twitter account and subreddit so I somewhat kept up with what was going on. I took one look at B!Catria’s weapon in the banner trailer and instantly knew she was cracked, so I was surprised to see it took a while for people to catch on to how good she is.

I've hated Azura since Fates but I've been using her on my main team for years just bc she outclasses pretty much every dancer in this game and I hate it. Man, FEH was so fun for me till the powercreep scale went to the point I feel like I'm reading Yu Gi Oh cards for every new unit added. Even tho I hate this game I sure love the content that is made about it, keep it up!

OMG. That description! Im not a new player but old player that stop playing for a year and comeback. And that raction is me!
I'm a new player (started last year) but tbh I don't understand why FEH players are still so mad about Ayragate, and think IntSys was purposefully paylocking her behind Eldie's banner when it was never confirmed that she would be free. I know early FEH was a little more experimental, but thinking that IntSys gave her boosted BST and made her scarcely available to cash in on her popularity - what popularity? Even in Japanese polls she can't beat neither Ethlyn or Aidean - or worse. that they were testing the waters to see who would pull in what are today legendary/mythic banners, is utterly conspiracy theory level.
They needed representatives for FE4. Specifically, an infantry melee unit. No Gen1 early game unit is such aside from her. Chulainn isn't as popular because many Japanese players didn't even know he could be recruited when they played FE4 as children. Simple as that, imo.
Halloween Sakura probably could have been in No.7 too
Then again, there isn't a single good variation of Sakura in FEH, and Sakura always gets the short end of the stick compared to Elise -which might be a good thing if Xander is the one holding said stick-
Only Fates Royal without a prf at all btw. Every other has gotten at least one. Heck most have gotten more than one variant with a prf.

As someone who has heavily used Surtr since his release it would be weird for me to say this, but Surtr should've also never been released. Sure, as time went on he stopped being so obscenely broken, but at the time of his release there was barely anything that could deal with the guy. Other than Dancer Micaiah and even then, not always lol
Triple Brazen Alphonse with triangle adept folkvangr refine with vantage. Gets him every time... but in all seriousness, I have to agree, unless you build a unit to specifically counter the dastard, he was incredibly hard to kill.

As someone who pulled a bunch of Catria while making a +10 B!Shanna, can confirm, even the Askr trio beats F!Edelgard with her help
F!Edelgard is the reason I stopped playing FEH for a while. My best units couldn't dent her or take her out fast enough before she killed someone on my team. I hated her so much I was glad I got Askr who can tank her and Arval who can nuke her.

9:38 it’s even worse when forms of damage reduction like Red Myrrh and Big Lion’s refines have the damage reduction come into the 3rd and 4th hits for brave effects and not the second hit where they need it the most after their cowl skill is used
nkowdays, one's need to wait for the "arcane" weapon to make an old unit, pretty good or even powerfull, but still, when the stats get out of hands, in that moment, all the old unit will die
I got a res-slayer 60+ (Non resplendent, 10+ merge)Seliph(+15 res in combat) and with Guinivere. You don’t see me complaining about deltea and the rest of magic user in general. Powercreep is insane(for alts).
At least Duo Catria can be counter with cavalier, sword units, and amour guard gimmick. The only time I ever use her is when I have to fight giant boss. But overall, you have made some good points on some of these units
Ayra also birthed the "I now use the Reinhardt" meme so we got something of value there. To this day Reinhardt is my favorite unit.
The sad thing about the text thing Is that there's no real way to fix it
I think the best they could do it it's just make it so any word related to a status effect opens up a tab explaining what it does if you click it

with legendary chrom i would have been saying the same things i said about legendary azura all over again. brave hector pre refiene was not good, thats why i specified that i was talking about his refine
@@connerzac I still found Brave Hector to be a threat before his refine. I remember spending so many grails on Naesala copies just so I could give Guard to all my blue and green bait units in order to avoid them getting killed by Hector's Bold Fighter Ignis proc. Then his refine came and made that problem seem like child's play. Now I don't even see him with Bold Fighter anymore. It's either Special or Hardy, the latter of which should not have been added to the game. Some sort of Save skill representation should've been on the list because I believe they shouldn't have been added to the game, either.

I've actually pulled catria and leveled her a fair bit but idk how to play her since I'm fairly new to the game as well as I used to think she was bad because of how frail she was(I didn't realize the teleport shenanigans)
Even lvl 1 shes can carry alot of teams with her weapon. Aswell as her cracked harmonic skill. You can also carry three tanks with her since her weapon gives alot of mobility for anyone.
Me watching this with +10 desert nailah and close save f edelgard 👀 lel

That Ayra one is so stupid. You guys got mad because IS didn’t do exactly what YOU guys thought they were gonna do?
It was the lack of transparency on their part that was the issue. Every new hero before and since that has appeared on a banner for the first time has been shown off in the trailer beforehand. Ayra was literally the only exception for seemingly no reason. And also they put her on a separate banner for no good reason. She could have easily been on there with Sigurd. But instead she shared with Eldigan who was undesirable even early on.
Rudolph had very similar builds as refined B!Hector, but he was rarer and his matchup spread wasn't quite as good. Even so, he might've killed the balance months before Hector.
How is this game for people that want to come back to it? I love the game but fell out of it due to real live obligations.
But I really wanna get back into it because it was my most favorite gacha mobile game ever and I love the series

They should add the player as a playable regular character. Despite how bland characters like kris were, they were playable in their respective game and felt active.
yeah bridal Catria has been a nightmare, when I spent orbs on bridal banner she showed up right away like every time, and I got a +2 merge of her already I stopped pulling in every banner she is in because she doesn't stop popping up and I don't need her +10 merge because her weapon effect is more than enough, it feels like she's stalking me in my nightmares, she makes the game too easy which kills the fun, if I was making a video like this I would also put bridal Catria on No.1 spot on the list as well, her triangle attack is just absurd and also made players rage quit in summoner duels when I use her, and the team whoever she's in those players always ban just for this threat
I see no reason why you wouldn't want to +10 her unless you like losing,but other than that she's also excelent fodder as she can provide your units with atk spd push 4, which is an insane skill.
