IEN fact Canada, Thank you so much for the genuine information. The approach your handling all questions is technical and correct. I'm also waiting for the response from NCAS.
Hi, I have a clarification. I am registered in Alberta Province as a RN. So should I still go through IEN pathway in getting BCCNM LICENSE? Hope you can help me with this thanks
My apologies, didn’t see this in time. You just need to transfer your License. There’s a form for you to fill out. Check your CRNA account for the form. Then apply to BCCNM as a Canadian Nurse.
Thank you for the information you’re sharing. Very helpful. Kindly advise, roughly how long did it take for you to be scheduled for assessments after NCAS completed the review of your documents?
Thank you for information. I have a question regarding resume upload on BCCNM. Do I include my part time jobs( random jobs other then nursing) in resume too ? Thank you
Thanks for your response. I understand some provinces allow for IELTS general for nurses. Please ma can you make a video on English test types and grades requirements for these expedited provinces for us. We are somewhat confused do they also accept oet?
Hi Patience. I’ve covered English test for immigration purposes in this Video : ruclips.net/video/JfgnVw2LdUs/видео.html. For those people who are outside Canada, IELTS Academic would be the preferred option for any professional seeking licensure including nurses. I know for sure BC, AB, ON, NB and NS require the academic one. Again, I recommend to always check the province’s website for English language requirements for the program you’re applying for. The nurses should be able to check the regulatory body website. This will defuse any confusion.

Dear In fact Canada, Thank you again regarding IEN details. Bccnm asked me about the inconsistency in my CV. Can it affect my application? . If yes how can I go about.
Yes it can affect your application. You don’t want to leave questionable gaps in your Resume especially if it involves lots of months or years. You can write an explanation letter to cover the gaps. Any study leave taken, sickness, maternity leave, travel etc.
@IENFactsCanada Please after receiving ncas eligibility how do I get my invitation to apply for the visitors visa to write my ncas assessment. Do I get someone to give me invitation letter
Honestly, it’s hard to say and BCCNM has not given any timeline. It all depends on how fast you meet all the requirements. You will be required to request your nursing board to verify your license. BCCNM will send you the forms you need for that

I concerned with the fact that IEN have to travel to Canada and go back after completing the assessment.
Nice one. Thanks for informing us.
How long does it take to approve the bursary application after signing the ROS agreement?
@chikaemma2464 The funds are readily available once you sign up for the bursary. You just need to go ahead and apply to NCAS.
Ive applied through this pathway last year and give all the documents, but since September 2023 i didn't hear back from them
That’s a long time to wait. How about you write to BCCNM and request a status update? They should be able to get you some info.
OK, I will do that

I think very little support if offered by Health Match BC for a return of service of two years 😅😅 totally unfair for international nurses.

So you mean after finishing BCCNM can move Canada before writing NCLEX?
It's very possible depending on your NCAS outcome.
Pls are we required to write nclex with our money before one can be registered..
You’re right! NCLEX is Not financed by the bursary program. Check their website for the fees which are waived or eligible for reimbursement.
Madam, what is the process for Nclex passed nurses for BC ? Is it like Alberta ?
Unfortunately, BC has no such provision unless you’re from the mentioned countries.

No. NCAS is an assessment agency and doesn’t deal with immigration.
They only give you a conditional or business like letter to apply for a visa when you have to travel for the assessments.

Yes you do.
