LaserAway has a huge turnover rate because most of their nurses leave as soon as they're able to as LaserAway doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to the support they give their employees. No I did not. I wound up choosing a different career. Nursing requires one to be really detail oriented. It’s not for me. However, I do plan to work in a behavioral coach type of role which involves mental health knowledge.
Heyyy BeeBee! I was drawn to your videos while trying to figure out what type of nursing I wanted to do. Thank you sooooooooo much for your SUPER informative video! I've watched so many but never heard of forensic nursing. I'm very sensitive of others emotions so that sounds like a way I can truly be extra compassionate and help people in need! Thanks again!
As a 30 year LPN, yes....it will be a lot of Nursing homes and clinics. This depends upon states individually. She is a travel RN, BIG difference as an LPN, I've done it. VERY limited. You will work nursing homes that nobody else wants. Do your RESEARCH! Get your RN.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was wondering if working towards become an RN would be better first, make that straight shot with no pit stops, or to be an LPN first then study to become a RN. I do *not* want to work in a nursing home. Clinics... maybe. I want to eventually become either a palliative care nurse, pediatric nurse, or research nurse and to also travel around the country as well as the globe.
@@haileyt857 if you are young with no children go straight for your RN. If you have a child and want decent money quickly go ahead and get the Lpn quickly and then take your prerequisites for RN slowly.
Thank you for saying this. I’m considering LPN vs getting my Masters in Clinical Social Work. I like LPN because it’s a care field and busy with practical skills but it doesn’t seem to have much upward mobility in the field and very narrow opportunities. I just didn’t want to spend two more years in school for my Master’s but, it’s looking like that May be best for me to pursue MSW, because I do not want to work as a nurse in a nursing home. I know what they go through there and it is very close to slave labor. Wayyyy understaffed.
Great video, thanks a bunch! I been an LPN for about 10Y working in outpatient clinics, more specifically OB/Gyn. Never worked on nursing homes or LTC although I believe it will be a good experience. I know right now health apps pay really well and you can pick your own shifts, but mostly offer nursing home options.

I just don’t want to be stuck at a nursing home and not learning as much as you would in acute care. Thanks for any insight!!!🙂🙂🙂
I feel old as dirt doing CNA work right now compared the the younger people in my facility lol. I have recently thought about LPN or RN program because all of my nurses and fellow aides tell me I need to become a nurse cause I'm so good with my people lol. So I'm thinking of LPN first. I just turned 40yrs old btw. Lol I work weekend doubles right now and I have Monday thru Friday off.
I was a CNA from age 30 to 42, and like you, I felt "old" compared to others, and was frequently told I should become a nurse, based on my good patient care. I did feel a bit hopeless that it was possible for me to get thru nursing school. I began my LPN program at age 41, and started working as an LPN at age 42. I have been an LPN for about 1 year now, and it is much more mentally stressful than working as a CNA. I am happy I achieved my nursing license, but feel that health care facilities are unsafe in their nurse-patient ratios, in general.
They have been trying to phase out LPN’s since I was in my 20’s and I’m 61 now, do the math 😅 LPNs be making money now especially a seasoned one. You can make $40 and up, they pay good here in the Northeast…not every jail is nice to work in…the one I work at is a hotel compared to others … we have med passers that go out in the population to dispense…as nurses we only give clinic dispensed and we call them up for those times. Only medical emergencies we have to go out or someone really sick and in that case they going to the hospitals I personally am in a sweet spot cause I should be retired in 5 years or so, but I can still work per diem or part time somewhere…great career for a one 1-2 year education 🎉

I'm currently a travel CNA and I am going to school to become an LPN and I'm going into my last semester in the fall and I get to do clinicals. I am excited for clinic but not the hospital. I've been in long term care since I started working at 16 and I need a less stressful environment. I am nervous for hospital clinicals because I won't have time to research and things of that nature. I think clinic would be great for me because of less stress, more of a schedule, and I won't have to be overtime and burnt out
Great video! I work in a MDs office but on the population health/quality side. Some job duties include patient education, chronic care management, closing HEDIS care gaps. I don’t have face to face contact with patients. It pays more than our floor nurses. My next step is to work in the same area but with an insurance company. There are plenty jobs available in that industry that we as LPNs don’t really think about.
when I check online I see many many Job offers for CNA, LVN/LPN, and RN. and they all pay very well.. the CNA is like 18$ per hour -20$ per hour starting the LVN/LPN salaries range from about 24$-42$ per hour depending on where u apply. the RN jobs seem to start about 37$ and go up to 75$ an hour as for what I am seeing on indeed and other recruiting sites... so LVN/LPN is a good paying career absolutely and there's a lot of hospitals hiring LVN/LPN,s as well as Skilled nursing facilities and outpatient centers and clinics and even Schools that are seeking a school nurse. so there are a lot of career opportunities for LVN/LPN,s in Southern California currently.... (post covid)
my goal is to go back to school to become an RPN after ten years of working in recreation and fitness. My dream is to become a traveling nurse or any other opportunity that comes my way!
Sunny 🌞 FYI: the doctor that usually rounds with a wound care nurse is either a infectious disease or surgeon. I did wound care for many years, within LTACH. ❤
How difficult was nclex? Congratulations, I hope you land your dream job. I worked L&D and ob/gyn until last year, you will love it! I only left because the schedule no longer worked for me while completing lpn.
Thank you for the video. Just curious why is this your focus? Considering you are an RN.I have been an LPN for 15 years..I have no desire to become an RN and don't feel the need to. I am pursuing a degree in Public Health. I have had a lucrative career. Another great area is Nephrology.
I just graduated & passed nclex in February this year and there are sooo many options as an LPN! I live in TN so the pay isn’t all that great here but I started at $23/hr right out of school.. passed on 1 job that was $26/hr right out of school.. there are soo many options. California is where it’s at though if you want to make the big bucks.. Of course the cost of living is much higher as well.. but don’t be nervous! Just get your one year in with them and as much experience to add to your resume, and then you can start applying to the better medspas. LaserAway has a huge turnover rate because most of their nurses leave as soon as they're able to as LaserAway doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to the support they give their employees.
I know a lot of RN's who've gone the LaserAway route and now work for more reputable medspas.
Also just to add some credibility on why I know this info: I've been working in aesthetics for quite a few years but mainly the administrative end. I'm currently in school doing an LVN to BSN program and plan on staying in aesthetics but this time as a provider :)
I start LPN school in Spring 2022! I'm excited. I'm hoping to do mental health facility or residential nursing home work afterwards. Thanks for the video! Sunny 🌞
Did you end up where you'd hoped?
No I did not. I wound up choosing a different career. Nursing requires one to be really detail oriented. It’s not for me. However, I do plan to work in a behavioral coach type of role which involves mental health knowledge.
Heyyy BeeBee! I was drawn to your videos while trying to figure out what type of nursing I wanted to do. Currently, I'm an MA at an urgent care clinic, which is fast paced as you can imagine but it makes the time go by fast. However, once I become an LPN I don't see me working in a clinic 🥴. Thanks for this video, I saw 3 types of nursing that peaked my interest. Now onto the research! YOUR THE BOMB! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Sis!! I’m glad you enjoyed it & best of luck on your nursing journey !!
I'm getting out of the Army next year and I'll be going to school to become an LPN. I'm glad that now I know that there are so many career paths to choose from very informative video! Thank you 😃
This came at the perfect timing. I’m a phlebotomist at the moment but can’t decide whether I want to go into LPN or Sonography…thank you!
After using uworld twice and failing, I never knew I could ever pass the nclex but today I am very happy. I just passed my Nclex on my third attempt with a great help from Dr Luther
I wanted to do sonography but it’s a lot you need 2 years to just study ! They make great money probably much more than LPNs
I was doing independent recruiting during the pandemic & there was a Cna position paying $100/hr! Definitely think any position is worth it in healthcare.
Omg where at lol
@@cancerdiva03 nowhere..lol
@@celavie8499 actually smart a$$ its was mainly PA, they needed cnas and nurses bad & some places in MA & CA. Next time, speak on what you know.
I'm a cna currently and looking into traveling!

Going from a Chef after 15 years to become a Nurse ☺️
Sunny 😌
Starting my LVN program next month. So scared test so excited! Woot woot.
Thank you sooooooooo much for your SUPER informative video! I've watched so many but never heard of forensic nursing. I'm very sensitive of others emotions so that sounds like a way I can truly be extra compassionate and help people in need! Thanks again!
Love this! I’m looking into LPN. I’m a little nervous cause I’m feeling a bit older and behind but excited.
I am just starting LPN school and I’m 34 years old. It’s never too late. We got this 💪 🙏🏽
I’m 45 so it’s never too late.
@@karenbrunson4244 The unsafe conditions are not worth the money.
Yes I am having this problem. I am tired of nursing homes. Im over it.
Can you work as a Maternity Nurse with an LPN license?
@@ranithegoddessbellydance628 I am not sure if hospitals are hiring now LPN for maternity units, but there are many clinics that work alongside side with hospitals where patients go for their routine prenatal care visits almost until 40 weeks then they will go to the hospital for delivery.
This is right on timeee thank you for looking out for Lpn
In some states LPNs can also work in the hospital. “Sunny”!!
Thank you for this video. I'm an LPN and currently about to fail out of my last semester of RN school. This gives me so much hope. I think I'm going to embrace being an LPN for awhile, as I've only been an LPN for two years now. I think I'm going to work in a doctor's office for awhile!
Don’t give up! Hope you keep tryin as an rn! I have 2 semesters left in lpn school and will bridge. Keep going! You can do it!

In my area..LPNs are hired also in the hospital.
Great video! LPN of 15 years here.

LPNs are popping back up in the hospital especially med surge floor or observation floor, at least in my state
Hey. Which state is that?
I know Florida and Georgia have been doing this. I have worked at hospitals myself that have been doing this
@@rumcakes2 Arizona.
I’ve seen more LPN positions in hospitals posted on job boards, I reside in MI.
I have seen a lot of ads for LPN hospital positions in IL too.
I have worked med surg ccu and ER as an LPN great career move
That is awesome !! Did you start out Med/Surg ER?? I am seeing in my area LPNS are being hired in ED again. Just didn’t know if this should be my first choice right out of school. I don’t plan on going back to get my RN I have a BSHCA that I utilize on the admin side no clinical.
It’s never too late!!!
I recently got accepted into Jersey Nursing College, your video really inspired to go for it and don't give up. Thanks 🙏
What location? I considered that school.
Hi , please what was the application process like ?
Right on time I’m done in 35 days or something like that lol 🙌🏾👏🏾
So exciting !! Good luck !!! ❤️❤️
After using uworld twice and failing, I never knew I could ever pass the nclex but today I am very happy. I just passed my Nclex on my third attempt with a great help from Dr Luther
Yes I needed to see this too!!
😊I’m happy to know it resonated with you!

Sunny..I just stumbled upon this video awesome..lots of information..I’m a LPN and I’m happy to see the many different settings.. I used to think I was limited..thank you
Sunny!!! I loved it! It is definitely going to help me in my journey to LPN school. I appreciate you!!
I’m in lpn school now I can’t wait to start working
I'm currently a travel CNA and I am going to school to become an LPN and I'm going into my last semester in the fall and I get to do clinicals. I am excited for clinic but not the hospital. I've been in long term care since I started working at 16 and I need a less stressful environment. I am nervous for hospital clinicals because I won't have time to research and things of that nature. I think clinic would be great for me because of less stress, more of a schedule, and I won't have to be overtime and burnt out
I am going to go enroll for lpn program I can't wait first step into my nursing
Best of luck to you!!! ❤️
How did you get into that? And what state are you in? Im in California and it's very hard for LVNs to get into admin roles here
I currently do this work for an insurance company! I love it, it’s so easy and laid back but we are still helping others!
when I check online I see many many Job offers for CNA, LVN/LPN, and RN. and they all pay very well.. the CNA is like 18$ per hour -20$ per hour starting the LVN/LPN salaries range from about 24$-42$ per hour depending on where u apply. the RN jobs seem to start about 37$ and go up to 75$ an hour as for what I am seeing on indeed and other recruiting sites... so LVN/LPN is a good paying career absolutely and there's a lot of hospitals hiring LVN/LPN,s as well as Skilled nursing facilities and outpatient centers and clinics and even Schools that are seeking a school nurse.
so there are a lot of career opportunities for LVN/LPN,s in Southern California currently.... (post covid)
Yeah that's what everyone tells me what a lpn mainly works in a nursing home. I am in school working to get my license
my goal is to go back to school to become an RPN after ten years of working in recreation and fitness. My dream is to become a traveling nurse or any other opportunity that comes my way!

I just graduated & passed nclex in February this year and there are sooo many options as an LPN!
