Hi, I was able to get a license to practice as a CRNA because of my NCLEX exam last year. I worked as an RN from 2010 until June 2023 before moving to Alberta to work as a Home Child Care Provider. My question is, what will be the implications if I renew my license in August 2024? What requirements do I need to meet for the renewal? Please note that my last 7 years as an RN were in Abu Dhabi, and our mode of communication was English. Thank you for your response.

You do not need 250hrs. Your Nursing program meets the currency of practice because it’s within the 5yr time frame. Your current program may qualify you for language proficiency if it’s at least 2yrs of full time study but that is at CRNA discretion. Kindly write to CRNA navigator and enquire about it.
