Healers are often under the SR you’d think they’d be in. And that’s due to the Healer Carry not being strong enough to win a game. If your healer consistently heals the team and has great positioning, your team can still lose because the burden of kills falls to your damage and tanks. And if your damage and tanks fail to do their killing, there’s nothing you can do as a healer. As such, healers often are lower SR than you think because climbing out low SR as a healer is incredibly difficult as player skill and game sense gets exponentially worse as you go down the SR ladder.
@@Handleforyt12345 no.. if you have stable fps/decent ping then just do vod reviews on yourself. use cover more. try to improve your aim. doing even a quarter of one of these actions will get you out of bronze.
No that's false. Especially if you're a new player and new to the competitive FPS genre. The order of easiest to learn and climb is tanks > support > DPS. Why? Simple, the queue time for tanks is really fast, support is okay, and DPS is real real bad. It’s a very well known tech that a lot of Mercy players will use. I’m not sure why you’re so surprised about it xD truthfully? It’s 15 seconds into the game and they know they have double sniper. It’s super risky to be super jumping into sight lines like that. But you can tell it’s higher sr because the tank are making space and the dps are taking advantage of that space. It allows your supports to do their job a lot more effectively.

that gets a lot harder but it isn't impossible. I can pull off a superjump rez about 30-40% of times. However, you only see this when mercy is surrounded by an enemy player to avoid damage for as long as possible. Otherwise you're taking a high risk play that is completely unnecessary.
It’s really hard. I’m only diamond but I spent like an hour in a custom game learning it. Once you learn the super jump and can do it consistently, getting the super rez is actually about not going too high. 3.7k isn’t low considering only about 10% I believe is above diamond. This per is mid masters, a rank not a lot of people have. I don’t think they’ll reach GM playing like this per se, but this is definitely a decently high level game. Just lucky they missed, a ton of stupid super jumps.
"You dont see superjumps below plat" My guy I was already hopping around with this character when I was still stuck in the depths of bronze HAHAHAHAHHA
This is so sad... Im looking at it and understanding that Im playing like this Mercy, which is master, but Im on low gold rn T_T Almost every match people like "Mercy u r amazing healer" and Im like "ty" and then I see my SR and dont understand what am I doing wrong
You still low gold? I'm there as well. Yeah of course - still got some stuff to learn like counting the ults and still do some stupid mistakes. That might be part of the problem. But it's probably a good idea, to pair up with another player as it's not possible to carry a game as support (specially as Mercy I would say) so much that you win most of the time. If there is not enough damage you can't do much about it as Mercy ...
As a Mercy player: They use super jump as positioning instead of using it to position themselves better. Using the roof slide was good. That's a great way to get away from that Moira for a bit. Looking at the ground and spinning during rez helps avoid headshots so that's great too. A super jump and falling behind cover while rezzing. All good stuff.
Mercy is my go to healer and I do superjump in the match, I try to be in cover and etc. But I'm in BRONZE and when you're that low, your team is just real bad. A couple of days ago I killed a Mccree to escape imminent death and got gold in eliminations when we were reaching the middle of the match, so I played as Lúcio to try to carry. My team lost anyway, but is just to exemplify what we bronze healers have to face.
1. I love playing guess the rank 2. This play was very very accurate. It felt like a higher ranked play overall.. 3. Tech used was perfect timing. 4. Team kept running back to the point. So when they get back 2 get picked off. Mistakes made: 3 Though can be overlooked. I blame more how the team was separated by point 2 This video in mind, you should do a best of 2020 for the end of the year. I'd love to see the top 10 best during a Livestream
about the super jump, my friend (who has no game sense, and stands still when doing anything) is in bronze/silver and can super jump. It's not hard to do, but it's hard to know when to do it
Idk about the rest of the mercy mains but i was looking at all the tiny details in this game. Literally tiny things like flicking the camera for ga's, looking around constantly, things like that really seperate the good from great mercys. Tip, use ga prefer beam off, that lets you use ga to any target, get more usage out of beam, and allows for a heck ton more of mobility.
I just started playing two days ago, and jumped onto Mercy because I love playing support. This is serious goals. wow....just wow. I have a lot to learn
Check out iostux he has great videos about game sense and other non related videos but will help with Mercy, which sounds weird but helpful funnily enough, she's great fun! 😊
I’m a bronze mercy main but I feel like I would make exactly the same choices in almost every situation so at this point I have become convinced all the top 500 mercy mains just get lucky and get good teams.
Never not do anything is what I've learned. When nothing is happening, give a little pocket to a teammate and let them poke. Make sure you know who to prioritize too. Exploit the enemy mistakes and just keep grinding. If I were you, I would queue with friends or do looking for group
It’s a lot easier to look back on a game and say you would’ve done the same or something better. im not saying you wouldn’t have as your bronze but it’s the way they make those decisions in the moment that makes them high rank not just the fact that they say they could’ve made the perfect play they can prove it and if you are in bronze mabye that’s not the case
As a big picture maybe but there is a lot of intricacies to mercy like when the super jump is needed where you position yourself in term of what the enemy are running the right timing to switch to damage boost ect and those little things are the difference in mercy gameplay because of the lower skill floor so there is probably a lot more this player might be doing that is right than you are realising
That's why you gotta flex. If your team can't protect you you'll have to switch to a support that can either avoid or counter the other team's flankers. When you finally encounter a good team or you make a group, then you can take advantage of Mercy's sustain potential.
First friendly Mercy I've seen all day that's good at her job. Quick question: I'm silver on Ps4. Probs are my teams don't communicate, and rarely combo. Ik I'm low rank but can someone tell me a way to counter this please?
The best way is to just find a team to play with in similar rank to you, it's hard for me too because i'm in the EU severs and everyone speaks a lot of different languages
I play NA servers. Most of my friends aren't interested in OW, and when I do groups with mic required ppl join I can't really understand cause most of the time their mic is buggy or glitching out
Not ready to guess rank yet but I've seen Mercy players as low as silver who superjump. They spend all their time playing with their movement and tech and don't learn positioning, prioritization, good ult use, etc. They just do stuff like this Mercy did and blindly superjump for no reason into a Widowmaker. (Though the rest of this Mercy's play is fine so far.) ETA: *watches for 3 more minutes* Uuuummmmmmm :0
Something sty doesn't look at here is ult usage. We know this is a high level game. What distinguishes 3.7-4.0 from 4.1+ is fight planning and ult usage, and ult tracking. In this vod, you see a lot of over ulting from our blue team.
This game actually reminded me why I love playing Mercy, she's FUN. Always being super mobile. Just flying everywhere being hard to hit while superjumping, keeping everyone alive. If you're standing still as Mercy, you're both doing it wrong and missing out on fun.
@@hyeongpinkz Yeah, she's still insanely strong for no effort, just not with the main tank playstyle she used to. I mean being the second most played hero in GM with a winrate to match should be a hint.
I’m plat/dia. I see this player and think, “I play like that. Why am I not that SR?” but then I remember watching my own VODs and seeing all the mistakes that I make. You should VOD review your own stuff. Break down every single decision you make, especially mistakes and things that get you killed. @@mindyourownbusiness2785 omg samee
This mercy was really good but I didn't understand why you were so surprised by a super jump, everyone knows how to do it, I'm not even a mercy main but when I play mercy I use it, it's very easy to learn
RIGHT??
Probably because low skill mercy’s don’t really tend to super jump when they have to, they end up feeding a lot or they get caught rezzing and die
Probably because low skill mercy’s don’t really tend to super jump when they have to, they end up feeding a lot or they get caught rezzing and die
"You wouldn't see that in Mercy's below plat" lmao catch me mercy super jumping in low bronze
I'm still bad and miss a lot of them though
Stylosa calling a mercy player an it. It feels like an over excited British narrator in a nature documentary.
no one:
Stylosa: "look at the playyyyy" ;)
"you wouldn't see super jumps under Plat" lol I'm gold and I do it
Same
Same. I’m like bruh what
Yeah same
Me too big F for my support rank
I've seen bronze and silver players do it
*17:24** This is the ultimate "assert Mercy dominance" XDD LOVE IT*

i was doing superjump rezzes when i was in high silver lol
@@paIeville same, been seeing a lot of superjumpers in high silver
same. been superjumping in low silver, now low gold
i see superjumps in bronze lmao
@@flowercities I superjump and superjump rezz in high bronze...
im actually peeing my pants when he talks about his super jumps. like its not even that hard AHHAHAHA
I spent a straight twenty mins practising on Xbox and I still can't do it. I think it's harder on Xbox than pc.
it's harder on console lmao
Also, he’s probably talking about positioning of the jump more then the jump, as that’s the sign of a higher sr player
Most players who play mercy can’t do it.
It’s definitely harder on console. With Switch’s motion controls I can sometimes do it with Mercy.
Me: Plays Mercy like this
*is in gold*
Also me: *cries in rude dps and tank players*
legit man, i hate playing mercy in comp just because youre completely reliant on your team and then if you lose your sr just goes YEET bc you dont really have alot of elims or anything ;_;
I started playing mercy this season and i climbed from 2008 sr too 2780 sr.
I’m a mercy main on console and I’m 3100 and I was bronze season 6 😭 It was a tough journey. Also try and learn every healer as well just in case you need to help your self if your dps are bad 😂
same... i love getting bullied by dps players with terrible positioning for "not healing them at all" like i'm supposed to fly across the map without los and die just because someone is feeling adventurous that day [*]
You’re not a mid masters Mercy if you’re in gold. Instead of claiming you play like this, learn how to improve!
wow i was excited bc ive sent like 3 mercy clips in :(
Oof
I literally sent a mercy game on hollywood 4 days ago. Got so excited but then saw it’s not me ;(
Rip
He said there are 6,000 videos waiting in line in a previous video (I think it was either the Zarya or Zenyatta vid) so gotta wait in line haha
Ps. I also sent one XD
Well you should’ve realised it wasn’t your gameplay by the title.
I need this guy as a pocket to carry my trash genji
Need him to pocket my torb
But if they start pocketing they won't be as good since good mercy play means not pocketing lol
pocket mercy can't remedy bad aim.

Not going to lie I did no expect my clip to be on guess the rank!!! Hello styyy and ty!❤️
AshleeGaming1 you were a very good mercy!
you are an amazing mercy player. not even joking.
Great game!
2:00
Yeah so smart sj against Hanzo and Widow. Must be high level Mercy
That's why they're 3.7k
Reach 4k+ and those good XIM users wont miss
3.7k isn’t low considering only about 10% I believe is above diamond. This per is mid masters, a rank not a lot of people have. I don’t think they’ll reach GM playing like this per se, but this is definitely a decently high level game. Just lucky they missed, a ton of stupid super jumps.
this is my favorite mercy play to watch honestly. i'd like to watch her play with more annoying flankers.
"You dont see superjumps below plat"
My guy I was already hopping around with this character when I was still stuck in the depths of bronze HAHAHAHAHHA
25:23 Has anyone ever told you that you kind of sound like Junkrat when you giggle? XD
Sty: you won’t see super jumps below plat
My friend in silver: super jump super jump super jump super jump
Prob is why he’s in silver, super jumping is not good for every situation
@@jackl2257 that wasn't the point
Super jump is a trend. In high silver to High gold, we can already see jumping moth all over the game.
if anyone doesn't understand, this is a game from xbox on OCE, and this looks like best of the best from our region. so yeah they're good
This is so sad...
The enemy mccree is using mouse and keyboard on console too.
"I am going to remove it now"
Me looking back to screen
"in 3...2...1..."
Mercy does: super jump
Stylosa: so good
Me in silver who can do the super jump: am I a joke to you
Mercy is my go to healer and I do superjump in the match, I try to be in cover and etc.
Sty analysis of a game: "this is a game"
This is one of my favorite videos. This Mercy is impressive.
Never seen anybody get this hyped about a mercy
This is fun to watch because Sty seems to be genuinely having a great time doing this.
Stylosa: who are you?
THE mercy: I am the way, the true and the life.
1. I love playing guess the rank
2. This play was very very accurate. It felt like a higher ranked play overall..
3. Tech used was perfect timing.
4. Team kept running back to the point. So when they get back 2 get picked off.
Mistakes made: 3
Though can be overlooked. I blame more how the team was separated by point 2
This video in mind, you should do a best of 2020 for the end of the year. I'd love to see the top 10 best during a Livestream
Mercy: *sj*
Sty: I’m lovin it
McDonald’s: hey that’s our line!
about the super jump, my friend (who has no game sense, and stands still when doing anything) is in bronze/silver and can super jump. It's not hard to do, but it's hard to know when to do it
Me being in gold and silver with 22k healing and being able to thot hop: 👁👄👁
Idk about the rest of the mercy mains but i was looking at all the tiny details in this game. Literally tiny things like flicking the camera for ga's, looking around constantly, things like that really seperate the good from great mercys. Tip, use ga prefer beam off, that lets you use ga to any target, get more usage out of beam, and allows for a heck ton more of mobility.
I love your positioning
Good game my fellow masters, console, support player!
You've definitely earned your wings
You're baiting right?
really hope we see more high level games in the future. this is awesome!
Amazing quote from sty "This is a mercy player"

First friendly Mercy I've seen all day that's good at her job. Quick question: I'm silver on Ps4. Probs are my teams don't communicate, and rarely combo. Ik I'm low rank but can someone tell me a way to counter this please?
play with friends or find teammates in discords or reddit
The best way is to just find a team to play with in similar rank to you, it's hard for me too because i'm in the EU severs and everyone speaks a lot of different languages
Its really easy to get into an lfg group for silver-gold
Communicate with them even if they aren't talking. Sometimes when you hear someone in chat they will plug in their mic and communicate.
I play NA servers. Most of my friends aren't interested in OW, and when I do groups with mic required ppl join I can't really understand cause most of the time their mic is buggy or glitching out
A truely good mercy player that really understands the character is honestly a marvel to watch.
(Though the rest of this Mercy's play is fine so far.)
ETA: *watches for 3 more minutes* Uuuummmmmmm :0
Halfway through... taking console into account, I'd say high plat Mercy onetrick.
Huh, I guess people still ult with half their team dead in masters. LMAO
This video gets squeeky "look at the play look at the play" when my video was pure torture. Lol
This wasn't console, clearly. As one DPS had spaces into his name...
2 actually, reaper from blue and Mcree from red. Also, in console you can't put spaces in your name?
PlayStation you can't but xbox you can she's on xbox I know her I've played with her and against her she's also a amazing widow
Something sty doesn't look at here is ult usage. We know this is a high level game. What distinguishes 3.7-4.0 from 4.1+ is fight planning and ult usage, and ult tracking. In this vod, you see a lot of over ulting from our blue team.
He keeps calling mercy “it” 😭
This game actually reminded me why I love playing Mercy, she's FUN. Always being super mobile. Just flying everywhere being hard to hit while superjumping, keeping everyone alive. If you're standing still as Mercy, you're both doing it wrong and missing out on fun.
Imagine if mercy was playing brig instead though. 5x the value with this much game sense
and 1% the self respect lol
@@Lasergurka people still complaining about brig in 2020 lmao
@@hyeongpinkz Yeah, she's still insanely strong for no effort, just not with the main tank playstyle she used to. I mean being the second most played hero in GM with a winrate to match should be a hint.
That last round was jaw dropping! Holy
I play just like this and I’m hard stuck Plat XD.
That the mindset u probs play like a plat
Send in a vid and we'll see what styl says :P
it's a little more of a challenge to climb out of a rank without a duo as a support
I’m plat/dia. I see this player and think, “I play like that. Why am I not that SR?” but then I remember watching my own VODs and seeing all the mistakes that I make.
You should VOD review your own stuff. Break down every single decision you make, especially mistakes and things that get you killed. Learn how you could’ve done things better and view your other options in each situation.
Yeah right, you probably have awful positioning, make horrible rezs, and never damage boost.
This is so addictive to watch ur main getting mastered
i started using superjump in silver and that got me out of there with mercy
@Stylosa Tell what you think about a Lucio with no speed boost rework
Idea for patch notes:
General
Lucio's base speed increased by 10%
Lucio
Crossfade
Aura Radius increased from 12 to 30 meters
Healing increased by 10%.
Option of speed boost removed.
Sound Barrier: Maximum time increased from 5 to 6 seconds
Radius decreased from 30 to 20 meters.
Damage and healing ult charge increased by 20%
New Additional Passive (The Show Goes On) For each ally within 8 meters radius near Lucio, he and the other players get a 2% damage reduction for each player near Lucio Max 10% (if 2 teammates are near Lucio of a 8 meter radius, he and his teammates will gain a 4% damage reduction.
yo sty my friend. i love how ur channel is evolving (i enjoy a lot ur vlogs, hope we see those again in the future). U literally can see ur merch growing in the background :D . keep ur work going and even though im loosing interests in overwatch these days ur an awesome personality. much love from Germany
I love these vids where the player is just dope af and sty is going crazy about it
First time sty hasn't ended up coaching someone more than guessing the rank lol
Great show. I haven't cheated to see the SR on a game yet and I am SO GLAD I didn't cheat today. That was one hell of a game.
Gold, knows gold. The team fights were solid, everyone was a unit, but there was no overarching combo synergy. The team did its job well but no one really teamed up and made a solid combo-wombo. Just felt too brawly and not methodical enough to be a 4k game.
2:46 Sty Pro analysis: You're not gonna keep playing if your Dead...
Lol
For some reason I feel like stylosa acts like he knows more than he actually does
Take a shot everytime Stylosa absolutely loses it over a superjump.
I think your reasoning was spot on and then you just didn't take the console cut off difference into account.
It’s really the little things that put a good mercy vs a great one
That was a great game. Now, if I could get some of those instead of my team feeding their brains out.
“ you don’t typically see that under plat “ me a gold mercy who mercy jumps to get to higher areas all the times on console
Mercy super jump is for above plat
Me: laughs in bronze
Stylosa I propose a challenge. Do a Guess My SR Overwatch Coaching, *_BUT_* you are not allowed to go into any other person's perspective besides the one being analysed. ALSO, there is another rule....
You have to analyse a Brig. GOOD LUCK!
you should do more of this type of video :3
‘Both Team communicating’
Group finder: alright ima head out
Sty looks well happy when he knows he ain’t gonna be losing brain cells because of bronze players🤣
