@@OMSmomo your biggest mistake is actually thinking you're that good, saying that you have good aim and good decision making. The problem might reside on your positioning though. That's a crucial mistake which is fairly normal. In gold, plat etc a dps can invade the backline without major issues and, even if you're good positioned with ana and, as you said, fail the 1v1 you're doomed (literally, because doomfist). In higher ranks the DPS would win more often the 1v1 but would have a much harder time invading the backline because your DPS and tanks would have half a brain and help you
@@delluminatis Bruh that's actually me tbh. Its fucking ridiculous trying to find a dps game, that's what I'm good at but I'm forced to play tank cause I really dont wanna wait 10 mins

@@drydum2185 Mercy's harder to play than Moira. Moira gets a lot less punishment for bad positioning, 'cause she can just fade away, removing any effects she has on her. She can also chase anyone down or easily back off with fade. Compare that to Mercy, who is a really big target for the enemy team due to her resses and really can't go anywhere when she can't Guardian Angel to her team.
@@monkeybubba1526 Happens all the time "Oh youre just bad if you cant counter moira" THATS NOT THE POINT! Shes just so much easier to play than every other healer and has so much more value, and has a tiny hitbox, and a movement ability and a self heal and a high heal high damage ult with movement properties, and a long range lock on, and big aoe healing hahaha
It's advice because Ana jumping in the fight is the play style of a Moira so obviously he would recommend if that is the play style the player aims toward then they should play more Moira.
@@crister4903 Well, most people probably feel like that. The thing is that not everybody is or can be right. Not saying you are wrong tho, as i just experienced first hand how bad teams can keep you back for far longer than i thought possible. I used to be Plat (last played season 3 or so, but played a couple douzen/hundred QP games to get back where i was), had horrible placements and since then roamed around Silver. It's a nightmare. It sometimes feels as if the winning team is decided completely by luck, or who gets the worse players. On the one hand you win a (long) 5v6 even tho you had a leaver, on the other hand you get two DPS that who pick, in that order, Reaper, Mei, Junkrat, Phara, ... to 'counter' the enemy Phara that's destroying out team. Those obviously are a bit extreme examples, but it happens way more frequently than i thought it would. Even if you statistically get the better team if you dont suck, it's still possible to fail out on that chance multiple times in a row and go on a losing stream over and over again. Took me over 50 wins in Silver now and i'm not even Gold yet, even tho nearly. As i dont think i'll get back to Plat this season, i guess Gold is my new goal now haha :/
@@vvvss-cx1vd I'll see. For now im glad i made it to out of Silver last season before the season ended haha. Getting *to* plat again will by my next goal before i worry about getting out^^
It may also be a case of he is playing too many games. One thing that helped me get out of gold was I realized I'd play too long at one time without a break and that led me to start playing in a sort of auto pilot.
Also realizing when you're tilted before you start throwing games helps too. About the time I start screaming at people, I'm already 2 games past when I should've quit
JJ Blitz626 yup I started getting off every time I went on a 2 game winning streak so I don’t get titled and start throwing, then I come back and go on win streaks.
Glo Q same but what I did was if I had a winning streak then right as I lost one game I would stop playing because usually after a winning streak comes a losing streak because you wanna make that game up and get higher and then you lose another and get tilted
Quick tip when sleeping a doomfist: coordinate the attack quickly because the longer he is asleep, the more cool downs he will have once he wakes up :)
I love how over the years its come from "Theres no such thing as ELO hell no one is in the wrong rank" to HOW IS THIS PLAYER GOLD HOW IS THIS PLAYER SILVER HOW IS THIS PLAYER PLAT. Because its entirely based on hidden MMR, forced Win/loss ratios across all ranks, and because when you do team up in full you get punished SR wise. Crap ranked system a lot of people are in wrong rank. Just get a fresh account place 2 pools higher and watch yourself stay at that rank no problem.
A load of people I know did this and got placed in diamond and were like “oh the ranked system is broken” but they played like 30 games and dropped straight back down to gold. It might work for some players but definitely most players will drop straight back down
@@frank68454 I did this and placed in plat and stayed in plat till I eventually quit competitive shooters forever. I had been in bronze -700 sr since launch before that. Fuck ranked systems seriously they are SO BAD. Same thing happened to me in CS:GO. Literally the players in silver 3 are better than the players in gold nova 3 in cs:go it's fucking ridiculous.
@oi oi the problem is when you get hardstuck silver or gold, you begin to do dumb things that don’t get punished because its gold. I have this problem, as I’ll play real good for the first 3 games, get on a winstreak, but then I basically put myself in autopilot mode, and just play for hours. The winstreak ends and I start losing and at the end of the day I’m where I began at the start of the day. I end up trying to do too much because I just want to get out of gold in one night, but I end up not progressing at all. You can have the mechanics of a diamond or better, but it’s all about the positioning, and when you get hardstuck silver or gold, you play a lot to try and get out but you get tilted and forget about positioning
@Lee McDonald I have climbed out of gold seperately as (almost 100%) Baptiste and Zenyatta in separate seasons. But you may be right. Because both of those heroes allow you to play extremely aggressively in gold and lower.
Movie Trialers no gold really is just rng people love to leave after the first point gets capped there’s really nothing you can do as a support player when your rein is feeding
It’s hard to play properly when my Dps are yelling at my Lucio when our Ana died. Like bro I can heal that much, besides I dropped beats like candy. And I’ve been babysitting Ana, and the rest of the team just ignored me when I’m like I can’t help Ana when we got two flankers up our ass
@@Goose1162 yes, I have to tell my tanks to not walk past big red shields, because I cannot heal past them. No healer can out heal a teammate being focus fired due to bad positioning, and many players do not understand this.
Honestly, I've lost a bit of faith in the game's MMR/SR estimation. On my main account, I've always been Silver (support main). I created an alt and placed plat. My support friends feel frustratingly stuck, as well.
Bracket got the game like two weeks after I came out, played like one season of ranked and only quick play after that, I’ve been in silver since then. Do you think I should make an alt

I know i am really late but i was like the guy in the vid. STUCK FOREVER IN LOW GOLD. I bought an alt and i got placed in masters and pushing to GM. Its been almost a year and this is not my fault not my teams fault is blizzard fault because adding hero like sigma and echo really hurts the game and makes it harder to get GM because everybody plays the stupid meta(double barrier) and ana became almost a throw pick in my opinion. And the Meta became a thing due to powercreep
There isn't any point in staying up there if whats left of your team is out of line of sight and about to be murdered by bob crossfire. Worst case you jump down and die with your team.
Yeah, typical Stylosa (and most people who review vods) - find one trivial part of the gameplay in an entire 20 minute clip and "hurr durr found one bad play even though I've been talking about the ridiculous things other players have done all game, no wonder you're gold" - even though they may have had extremely good reason for that action. It's like they've never actually played gold themselves. Gold is where all logic goes out the window - hell, even plat and Diamond are like that. Blaming the person in any way, shape or form for being "stuck" in gold can usually be more easily attributed to the simple fact that they can not control their team mates, or their stupid actions, and 90% of the crap people criticise and point to as "why you're still in [rank]" still happen in higher ranks.
I know how he's gold. You literally do get a thrower or a toxic uncooperative teammate in 2/3 of games in that rank. You can't climb with that. Then there comes the odd result of people in wrong ranks, when such good players are met in games and literally carry their team. It's just them and their punching bags teammates.
Of course there are toxic teammates or throwers on some of your games but it's not bad enough to actually keep you at that rank. I used to be in gold for 4 seasons and climbed out and am approaching masters. If your good enough you will climb and that's a fact
@@madnessman1520 maybe, but I don't have the time for that. You literally climb 50 Sr through like 5 games, just to get an a*hole in your team that makes you lose these 50 Sr in one game. BTW. There are days where it's not that bad. IT'S EVEN WORSE.
@@barthez_ if you play really good and win you can earn more sr and no matter what you always gain more sr from a win then you do from a loss and I remember what it was like in gold and yeah it was hard but slowly over time I learned what mistakes I was making and I watched the owl and streamers to learn different tactics and I started climbing
@@madnessman1520 in a scenario where your teammates don't group up and run like bots 1 by 1 on the poin you won't be able to do anything to prevent a huge SR loss. My very first account is stuck in gold since forever. All I do on it is take some out of control losing streaks so I fall into silver, have a terrible time climbing back, just to face another losing streak. All that while my another account got placed in high plat in S14 and is now since 4 seasons stable in Diamond.

Sandra S yeah most times in bronze it's like you either play barrier tank and your team stands in front of it and dies or you play no barrier and they still die while you get picks but eventually get out numbered. I found the only way to crawl out is collect good players with mics that will listen and work together and know what LOS and a shield is
Ana main here with 400+ hours, i find it really easy to hit darts. Ive gone up to plat then go down to gold on and off. In EU plat your teammates vary depending on if they can speak english, if they are not toxic, if they dont throw all their ults into one engagement, if they dont feed. . . you get the idea. That is just how Ana has been, a while back i have killed 3 DPS while fighting for overtime. I can out duel hog, any other tank (except sig) i just move into their blind spot while shooting them, there is even a instance where your able to jump on top of them to keep them guessing. in short my mechanical skill far exceeds this gold and plat rank, ive approached playing Ana in various ways from anti flank, heal bot, nade attack, and a mixture of all. I just can't climb with a sorry excuse for a team in plat because they throw the hardest.
@@SirBrainTrain because the point of the series is to get better, you are supposed to send an average game to see what you are failing at, but if you send a game where you barely make a mistake, sty cant help you out. Not to mention sty has said a lot of times that you shouldnt send your best game
Hey, I’m the guy who sent the clip. I really tried to pick my “average” game. This is definitely not the best one, but also not the worst. There are games where we completely dominate and everything goes right and games, where we completely get dominated and everything goes wrong. ;) I really tried to pick the most average, non toxic one, where I also know I made few mistakes. I was afraid someone would think that this was my “best game” but it really wasn’t. I know it makes no sense to send the best game. Thanks everyone for the feedback and thanks Sty! Now I know few more things what should I focus on improving.
I think this is what is happening to this player: 1. They love playing Ana cause they are great with her and probably feel not as comfortable on Moira 2. They get bad teammates and tilt from it which makes them play worse and make the wrong gameplay decisions 3. They might not be playing enough to get good games Here is my advice as an EU player who was stuck in Gold for multiple Seasons. I reached Plat a while ago, and after some bad games on my main I just recently one tricked Doom from 2.3k to 2.5k in one 4 hour session. 1. Play more and play longer. 2. Try to stay calm. Whenever your teammates are bots or go pepega, say "unlucky" and move on. Always know for every bad game there is a good one. They arent necessarily on the same day or in the same hour, but play long enough (with a clear mind) and they will come. Keep up that positive mental attitude 3. Set yourself a rule that after X amount of losses you make a pause or call it for the day 4. Stop playing if you feel tired, hungry or exhausted 5. Try to watch your replays and look at the mistakes you made. Try to find ways in which you could have helped your bot teammates better and identify crucial mistakes. Sure your teammates are feeders. You can blame them in your head sometimes, thats fine. But realize that the only thing you can change in this game is yourself. (stop leaving good positions if you can help it!) Good Luck, you are gonna get out of Gold eventually.
@@bruh-hr1mt Maintanks also can't carry games if their team is bad, you can only do as much as creating space and try to combo with your team but if they dont want to thats all you can do. Most players in ranked just don't understand basic teamcomps, thats why you always get genji one tricks up to even master, its not possible to win with this players.
Tip: your a really good Ana player and you hit your shots, but if you want to climb out of gold then you should know when to swap. Queuing with friends is the best way to get out of gold. I currently just got out of gold and now In low to mid plat. Playing with higher level friends is also really good at climbing out
support was always extremely team-dependent, only the best support players can carry out of their ranks. the rest may be good, be rely on the team. its weird that only now, in 2-2-2, a couple of years into OW's life, people realize it.
Supports were meant to enable playmaking more than being playmakers compaired to other roles. So for example, if Ana give a DPS a nano at a good time (I say this because some Ana players give you a nano at the dumbest times), and the DPS could potentially rack up a triple kill, but only gets one kill due to bad aim, the support did their part. You can argue this is the case with every role. At some point you have done your part and set up the other roles to be able to do theirs, and if they don't it becomes detrimental.
Hahaha and now think about tank players especially main-tanks, just the smallest mistake or defensive play from your dps and you loose the fight.....you create space all game long but nothing dies then you know the rlly worst role to climb in overwatch.
@@SuperStarkiller999 yeah as a main tank you are often watching your bad teammates die all around you, in front of your shield, just death everywhere, and you just keep fighting, then you start wondering why it feels like you are being swarmed, and then you realize it's because you are alone on objective, the most important part of the map, while you have a DPS over there in a 1v1 he couldn't win for 20 secs. When I play support, I can see when things are going down hill better, because I have space to analyze the situation from the back, but when you are on the front line, you feel pressure and assume your team's positioning based off of how the enemy team is able to apply pressure, so when you begin to feel a lot of pressure, you know you are alone.
@@Eastra3 You can even argue main-tank is the hardest role to master in overwatch, even if you do your job right you don't get much SR per win, as dps I just need to kill some enemies and skyrock my rank up.
@@SuperStarkiller999 the SR system doesn't really have a way to measure the intangibles of support and tank roles. Dmg, kills, heals, etc; raw stats are easy to measure, but they don't mean very much outside the context of the nuanced game, but the algorithm is not smart enough to use context. I'm sure when you see tank or support PoTG, they are literally your most casual healing moments, not highlights. The system cannot value your true highlights on support. For tank, the system values more so offensive set ups that lead to kills. For dps its simply how many kills in such and such a time. The supports get shafted the hardest by the SR system's lack of context, but tanks are not far behind. I mean how useless is dmg blocked right??? Lol, this is why even though a system reset would be nice in theory, if the algorithm isn't changed into a more intelligent system, it will just repeat the same cycle over and over again. The system is bad at judging skill and difficulty levels, it only sees production in raw stats.
considering they send in a win and not a loss - probably one of theuir better games - this mistake could be a small glance at the core issues the player has in the games they actually loose
to be fair it was pretty serious. in the heat of the game it's easy to do stuff impulsively like that but poor decisions like that add up over time. add that to the fact that this guy mentioned that he gets tilted when the team starts doing stupid shit, and you could easily have a mechanically and like decision-wise good player who like starts every session with plays like this but gets progressively worse as they continue. You have to be able to lose a few games gracefully, you don't need a 100% win rate to climb (in fact you only need a 51% winrate on average). That may be this guy's issue.
delkai if u look back on it there was no way ana would’ve out healed the same output of the enemy team 3 people died within 1-2 seconds of ana jumping down and she can’t heal that fast so fight was lost anyway
@@DexterNewton32 I don't know if it was a mistake, doom was still alive and going under means he will have harder time jumping on you. Bob was also there and could potentially kill team. I know rein can turn and shield it off, but that rein proved to be pretty useless the whole time. I wouldn't trust him to do anything other than charge in.
Your in gold cause your doing your job and pulling your weight which isn’t enough carry and you can’t climb unless your carrying. Ml7’s vod reviews talk about this a lot and might be worth a watch.
Agreed this is the problem with solo queue healers, you can't carry like a dps or tank. so you are always at the mercy of your teammates. Best thing to do is find a decent DPS person and duo queue, then you can rise.
I have to agree. If he stayed up top, doom is a problem, and Bob might just kill everyone. He says Rien will shield it off but that Rien proved to be pretty bad at doing anything other than charging from across the map. I certainly wouldn't rely on him.

I first played during season 2 and I'm only 4 star, was high diamond and was forced to take a 3 month break, and then I took a 2 year break. I took a long hiatus from this game as it was just terrible imo since season 4 or 5 for me. Back then I was good enough to make masters or higher but 3 month break of no games at all threw me off that progressive track and I was a gold. He may have taken some breaks, as well only getting placed in some seasons and never playing like me.
Wouldn't it be more useful for people to submit games they lose? Maybe if we saw a game he lost we can see why he's in Gold. This could have just been one of his better games.
True and everyone that has been in Gold knows its a sh!t storm down their, sometimes you get good players others you get feeders. Really Gold is just "don't make as many mistakes" rank and you climb.
Nano on a gold Rein is like feeding cocaine to a scared chipmunk. 😂 Especially if he's safe, he will always feel like he needs to get value out of the nano when he doesn't need to.
I would say there's no such thing as a support "carry". You can only keep your teammates alive for so long. If they cannot land kills, it is irrelevant how well you heal. That's why I determined that being a support is essentially a crap shoot and that even the best support players will eventually deteriorate in rank without a high-level DPS friend to queue with.
you can carry on every role (look at ML7 and all the other streamers who did " unranked to..." challenges) you just need to be a good 500+ SR better than your rank. If you are where you (atm) belong the grind will be slow and take many hours (= many months for most) and real dedication and positive attitude.
I see a lot of myself in this player and I also feel stuck in “gold hell”. And yes, constantly getting bad teammates who either refuse to regroup or constantly put themselves in bad situations can keep you stuck. You can heal teammates, but you can’t heal stupidity.
As a Healermain stuck in Gold I can relate to this Video so much... Its almost impossible to carry as healer right now when your Team plays like that...
I am a diamond support and I have to say that after playing a silver match, it is incredibly frustrating when no matter how much utility you provide, your team just cant kill things. Gets me every time!
The first thing (besides the Ashe thing in the beginning) that I notice as someone who climbed to GM as Ana myself is.. at 11:32 they see the Reinhardt is low and Doom is just put to sleep. They try to heal the Rein 2 times but he's still low and then the decision to wait for the Doomfist to wake up is what in my eyes was a big mistake. I myself would have just focussed on healing Rein first with the Doom sleeping next to me, especially since the own Brig is approaching too. Heal him up, Doom is still asleep for at least 2 more seconds and when he wakes up, Brig is next to them, they have the nade, they can still do the same they have done with first spending the 2s healing Rein instead of looking at the sleeping Doom, because that is when he dies and it starts getting rough. :)
As a mid diamond support player who has an alt account for practicing, this doesn't surprise me at all. My mule account got banned permanently because I ended up raging so hard once role lock went live and I de-ranked to Silver and couldn't climb out. So I went back to my original account and immediately placed at 2800 and climbed to 3200 easily after hours upon hours of struggling to climb out of silver playing the exact same role / characters on my alt account.
Yes it's hell as solo...it doesn't matter how good healer you are if rest of the team sucks or dps can't do shit. You normally are very lucky if you get 2 win streak...normally it's like 4 loss streak and you always loss more points then gain...so even 50/50 win loss ratio won't get you up in elo. It freaking sucks.
There is no such thing as "being screwed by the META". What is happening instead is you're being screwed by a lack of adaptability. If you play one hero all the time and suddenly that hero isn't as useful anymore it's your own fault for putting all of your eggs in one basket. You need to learn multiple heros across multiple roles and skill sets so that you'll be prepared for a META shift, be it a new hero that hard counters some heros or nerfs/buffs that make it so that some heros just don't get enough value anymore. Overwatch is constantly shifting, being ready for those shifts is one of the most important skills you can have in this game. One other thing, don't blame your teammates, it leads to a toxic mentality and will make it harder to notice your mistakes and get better, instead, when you feel like your team was making bad decisions blame yourself for not having good enough shot calling skills to pull the team together. Always be more critical of yourself than others because in the end the only constant in all of your games is you.
Not the best advice, if you shift to much around you will be a jack of all trade but a master of nothing.....you are at least 1 skill rating lower then your rank applies. Even if you are for example a tank player then there are off- and main- tank, if you play the other to much you will get worse with one, this think happens to me also, I played to much orisa now and my zarya play get worse over time.
I'd say being at a relatively high rank consistently is better than getting to the top by mastering less than one 30th of the entire game, only to completely plummet when the META shifts because you can't adapt. Sure it takes longer to learn more heroes but you end up being better overall, and since you'll have a better understanding of each role you'll be able to have better shotcalling as well, since you know the position each of your teammates are in.
@@heek8964 Yeah I agree on this part, but you should still take a main roll, maybe some heroes out of that role. I am a master player btw so it helped me at least.^^
and playing a different Support makes your Teammates better? is playing Moira stopping the Brig to feed? no it doesn't, will it stop Reinhardt charging into Narnia? No, it won't. I'm pretty tired of those "advice" people write down, they maybe work if you play in a Stack or Team.
The problem with being a support main is when you get stuck in gold and platinum it’s hard to get out cause as a healer you can help your team but you can’t make them play better and if your team is bad, Then your impact in the game becomes really low
The impact comes from punishing and abusing the enemy mistakes. Average enemy team is as bad as yours. 30% of the games are really close, and "one more" big play of yours can win them
Yeah but if your teams not pulling their weight then it’s near impossible to change the tide of the fight when your playing mercy, or any support for that matter
@@cf7804 yes, mercy has almost no carry potential. Still Niandra managed to go through gold with 75% winrate on her unranked to GM stream. Games where your team is just doing nothing are also like 30%. And you only need 51% winrate to climb.
most people think being accurate is about as simple as being able to place the cross-hair on a target, but because targets are moving, you now have to predict player movement. Knowing hero or a player's distinct movement patterns allows you to become more accurate.
I’m an Ana stuck in gold and I’ve one tricked Ana to diamond before and maxed at a lil over mid diamond. Getting out of gold with her is just as hard as playing in diamond because players make so many suiciding mistakes in gold and it is very difficult to make for it with Ana compared with other healers. Many games with ana will practically feel impossible in gold short of being even better than a diamond Ana. Frankly wit Ana you gotta carrying at low ranks or you are going no where, overall community is to ignorant/ bad for anything else to be the case.
No you don’t? I started OW on Xbox, and had never played any PC game. After switching over, I was bad. I only played support, yet I felt like I didn’t know what I was doing. I place silver, and dropped into bronze for a bit. After a couple seasons, I climbed to gold. I got stuck for maybe 2 seasons, but just grinding and practicing made me better, and I pushed into high diamond. After this, I created a smurf account, as before I was a support main. I placed gold, and basically went lossless playing lucio and ana. Now I have two accounts in high diamond and low masters. If you can’t climb, it’s because you lack the skills to carry you out of a rank. To actually get out of gold, though, you need the skills of a diamond player to hard carry yourself, or be a plat level player and get lucky a few times with good teammates.
@@koob_ The thing is im a high diamond hanzo and made a smurf.I played gold and had about 2 picks before every fight and my team woyld still lose teamfights.Honestly i feel like getting into gold is too easy so actual gold players get stuck with silver players.
My penis is unbelievably small, but the problem is you’re playing support and supporting “bad dps” won’t get you anywhere no matter how well you play unfortunately
@@koob_ This. So many people think "oh my team is so dumb" and sometimes? yeah. They are. But that's because they got yo your SR with mechanical skill. If you feel like you understand the game far better than your team, focus on improving your mechanics! It's not complicated.
The reason this user is hard stuck is because of his focus. He is allowing the atmosphere to overwhelm him. In turn he is in this haze of second guessing what to do. If he learns how to handle the stress and focus on communication he will climb EZ
You can actually nade the ground about halfway through the fall animation to get it if there's no walls nearby+you have other squishy teammates nearby in the same ult
And people try to say ELO hell doesn’t exist. At some point there’s literally nothing you can do when the teams you’re being grouped with are THAT bad.
Elo hell is at diamond, a lot of guys that think they are good.....genjis that play their hero even now in this meta regardless (I am a master player but it was rlly a fuckn hell to get to this point with diamond teammates).
at 7:01 I believe he/she tried to quickscope but did it too fast, then kinda panicked wondering whether to scope again, believing the shot was cancelled. Advice to any ana's out there (cause I'm guilty myself) - hold left click if you (quick)scope faster than ana's fire rate, it will eventually shoot and you can avoid these moments
Idk how people complain about being stuck in gold.. I am in bronze and I have lost 3 games in a row because I was the only person on my team who didn’t choose a DPS.
My best tip for role queue is to play roadhog, he can hold tanks, but he doesn’t have to rely so much on healers, just one trick hog unless your team decides to play a legit comp, once you climb out of gold, then It should get better with healers and tanks on your team. I hope this helps.
Here is how to solo queue out of gold: 1. Don't overextend! 2. Don't rage stay focused! (I really help. If you can't stop raging you should maybe listen to music while playing or something) 3. Counterpick. 4. Fill 5. STAY WITH YOUR GOD DAMN TEAM GENJI AND HANZO!
I'm a mid plat tank and I still can relate so much to that rein and nothing is more tilting than being nano'd when there are no people near. 9/10 I immediately charge to enemy spawn desperate to get value. Plus I think ana +team should of pushed up with that rein to get value off that ult instead of standing on point doing nothing.
The ashe not being healed in the beginning was the quick scoping bug, he looks like he plays COD, he aimed too quick and tried to shoot, but it cancels if your too fast, he tried to recover but didn't have enough time, it happens all the time
Eveyone has games that are out of your control but if you truly deserve to climb you will win the ones where you do have control. If you're winning 50% it means you're winning 50% of the games where you have the opportunity to change the outcome. The way I climbed out of gold and made my way to high diamond was to realize that elo hell was a myth and just an easy and comfortable excuse for when you lost. I instead started looking back at my games and analysing my mistakes and I soon realized how many of them I was making. If you just blame your team you'll never recognize and fix your own mistakes which is ik most cases what's *actually* stopping you from climbing
It is still active, but the bump is pretty trash compared to how it was in the past, and the amount you lose is currently static compared to befere. There is no win streak bonus. I get why they changed it, but you just can't control ppl to work together. Its unfortunate but it just how it is.

When someone is this mechanically good and yet in Gold it’s normally because they get tilted easily and either throw or get toxic on a regular basis.

Yea I don’t agree with his comment I thought it was a smart play to sleep bob. Bob can destroy the whole team. Sucks someone woke him up
looks like he knows why now
Yeah, typical Stylosa (and most people who review vods) - find one trivial part of the gameplay in an entire 20 minute clip and "hurr durr found one bad play even though I've been talking about the ridiculous things other players have done all game, no wonder you're gold" - even though they may have had extremely good reason for that action.
When I sleep bob and my team wake him up “every time!”
The real challenge you need to master to climb is how to win with throwing teammates
@@madnessman1520 maybe, but I don't have the time for that. You literally climb 50 Sr through like 5 games, just to get an a*hole in your team that makes you lose these 50 Sr in one game.

Hey, I’m the guy who sent the clip. I really tried to pick my “average” game. This is definitely not the best one, but also not the worst. I was afraid someone would think that this was my “best game” but it really wasn’t. I know it makes no sense to send the best game. Thanks everyone for the feedback and thanks Sty! Now I know few more things what should I focus on improving.
I think this is what is happening to this player:
1. They love playing Ana cause they are great with her and probably feel not as comfortable on Moira
2. They get bad teammates and tilt from it which makes them play worse and make the wrong gameplay decisions
3. They might not be playing enough to get good games
Here is my advice as an EU player who was stuck in Gold for multiple Seasons.
Keep up that positive mental attitude
3. Set yourself a rule that after X amount of losses you make a pause or call it for the day
4. Stop playing if you feel tired, hungry or exhausted
5. (stop leaving good positions if you can help it!)
Good Luck, you are gonna get out of Gold eventually.
There is an easy way, just don't play like a gold player.....work on your positioning and you are out in some hours....
GhostDragon lmao if youre dps or tank sure but a support can’t carry games there could be a top 500 mercy in gold but might not be able climb out lol
@@bruh-hr1mt Maintanks also can't carry games if their team is bad, you can only do as much as creating space and try to combo with your team but if they dont want to thats all you can do.

Not so much in gold, just pick bap/moira easy time.
It’s hard getting out of gold to me
it's really hard getting out of gold, period. and silver. and bronze. and plat, for that matter. i know from experience for all of them.
First 3/4 of the game: WHY ARE YOU GOLD!!??
Makes one mistake: THISSS IS WHYYY YOU ARE GOLDDDDDD OMG!!!!!
considering they send in a win and not a loss - probably one of theuir better games - this mistake could be a small glance at the core issues the player has in the games they actually loose
to be fair it was pretty serious. in the heat of the game it's easy to do stuff impulsively like that but poor decisions like that add up over time. add that to the fact that this guy mentioned that he gets tilted when the team starts doing stupid shit, and you could easily have a mechanically and like decision-wise good player who like starts every session with plays like this but gets progressively worse as they continue. You have to be able to lose a few games gracefully, you don't need a 100% win rate to climb (in fact you only need a 51% winrate on average). That may be this guy's issue.

Nano on a gold Rein is like feeding cocaine to a scared chipmunk. 😂 Especially if he's safe, he will always feel like he needs to get value out of the nano when he doesn't need to.
I always just charge into the enemy team when ever that happens to me
Everyone underestimates how hard it is to carry as a support
I would say there's no such thing as a support "carry". You can only keep your teammates alive for so long. If they cannot land kills, it is irrelevant how well you heal. That's why I determined that being a support is essentially a crap shoot and that even the best support players will eventually deteriorate in rank without a high-level DPS friend to queue with.
@@ForNoOne1 well like apart from Lucio gods and ml7 yeah I agree with you
you can carry on every role (look at ML7 and all the other streamers who did " unranked to..." challenges) you just need to be a good 500+ SR better than your rank. If you are where you (atm) belong the grind will be slow and take many hours (= many months for most) and real dedication and positive attitude.
Truth
Fikash what are you talking about
Moira is your ticket out of gold. Zero skill heroes are more rewarding than skill based ones.
Mercy was a better choice for the first 12 seasons
Moira isn’t no skill... lol... every support requires skill
Bobross’s Littlebitch I mean most people think that Moria doesn’t require skill because aiming is a lot easier with her
@@itzbugbotboiz4196 aiming? What aiming?
@@ok-ye3wr orbs, I mean badly aimed orbs just go into the sky lol
I think that Reinhardt is every Reinhardt in all my games on an ult account.
I see a lot of myself in this player and I also feel stuck in “gold hell”. And yes, constantly getting bad teammates who either refuse to regroup or constantly put themselves in bad situations can keep you stuck. You can heal teammates, but you can’t heal stupidity.
7:10 i think he wanted to quickscope there and srew it up it happens to me too :-(
7:05 he missed the quickscope, i do that sometimes too, just needed more practice to get the timing right
9:12 stall the point to give the enemy less time to capture the second point. if you die while you are stalling. you respawn 2 sec after you died.
its gives them ult charge if he does do that which is feeding
@@twizzy8098 maybe at most 5% for one person like 2% for the whole team also he could could get alt charge
I think this is a case of "here's the best game I've ever lost, review it please". Also, for advice, not nading often enough, and reloading too often.
Your shot calling is ridiculously on point. I'm really impressed.
Probably gold because he tilts and becomes toxic in most of his other games and throws. He just didn't send one of those matches in.
That's nade into the wall when sigma ulted you was top tier, heads-up awareness
“We go again, as somebody once said.”
No Sty, we don’t go again.
We go agANE
Sty you nunce, @20:30 you can see Ana getting damaged by Dva. She had to drop down to get away from her.
I can say why he’s in gold
He doesn’t find a group
EcologicNickel i was hardstcyk I’m sliver found a group and now I’m in plat
As a Healermain stuck in Gold I can relate to this Video so much... Its almost impossible to carry as healer right now when your Team plays like that...
7:00 sty, people can fail quickscopes lmao.
I am a diamond support and I have to say that after playing a silver match, it is incredibly frustrating when no matter how much utility you provide, your team just cant kill things. Gets me every time!
I’ve been in bronze since the start of my first comp season. Yesterday I just bought a sticker that said proud to be bronze,
BRONZE UNITe
Karoline haha
i got placed in plat last season, won most of my placements, then when i get into actual matches, dropped about 400
sr into nearly silver
As a mid diamond support player who has an alt account for practicing, this doesn't surprise me at all. My mule account got banned permanently because I ended up raging so hard once role lock went live and I de-ranked to Silver and couldn't climb out. So I went back to my original account and immediately placed at 2800 and climbed to 3200 easily after hours upon hours of struggling to climb out of silver playing the exact same role / characters on my alt account.
After 2-2-2... Elo hell is real
You need to Be lucky to get out of Gold/Low Plat
Fabian Reder I’m a diamond support rn about 3100 and I had to 2 stack with my 3700 friend to get out and we still struggled it’s so scuffed
Takoja yeah I always just sit there healing my team and still watching them lose the game slowly
@@takoja507 you sure?as Lucio this season I've lost 4 and won 19, starting in high bronze and now at about 1700 SR
I went from never playing support in last season to playing the support rankings, placing in high plat, and currently pushing high diamond.
Sty: You should sleep bob
Also sty: THIS IS WHY YOURE IN GOLD
@@kitt1797 No but it will help keeping them alive while doing that cause you can heal them and are not blocked by barriers, just as simple....
Maybe it’s the 2-2-2. I’ve been consistently in and out of top 500 for most season but since the 2-2-2 I’m struggling to stay in masters
I'm a gold support who plays Ana and Moira and I wish I was as good as him with sleep darts..
most people think being accurate is about as simple as being able to place the cross-hair on a target, but because targets are moving, you now have to predict player movement. Knowing hero or a player's distinct movement patterns allows you to become more accurate.
He’s trash
I’m an Ana stuck in gold and I’ve one tricked Ana to diamond before and maxed at a lil over mid diamond. Getting out of gold with her is just as hard as playing in diamond because players make so many suiciding mistakes in gold and it is very difficult to make for it with Ana compared with other healers. Many games with ana will practically feel impossible in gold short of being even better than a diamond Ana. Frankly wit Ana you gotta carrying at low ranks or you are going no where, overall community is to ignorant/ bad for anything else to be the case.
You need friends who are very good at DPS. Otherwise you maybe spend 3K hours in Gold. lol
If they are very good at dps, this ana would get boosted which is not ok.
7:00 that was an attempted quick scope but they didn't hold right click long enough. Mechanical error.
This is like watching my own VODs... playing support in gold is absurdly frustrating right now.
Just saw his nade himself against the wall. So haven’t finished it but No way he’s gold. I’m plat and he’s 10x better than me
You can actually nade the ground about halfway through the fall animation to get it if there's no walls nearby+you have other squishy teammates nearby in the same ult
Buddha was definitely a person...
Lmao
at 7:01 I believe he/she tried to quickscope but did it too fast, then kinda panicked wondering whether to scope again, believing the shot was cancelled.
Advice to any ana's out there (cause I'm guilty myself) - hold left click if you (quick)scope faster than ana's fire rate, it will eventually shoot and you can avoid these moments
how many games does he have like this until he tilt and start throwing and playing like shit though
Dude probably shown his best game so sty could say stuff like he did
even if this wasnt his best game. if he tilts easy then that exactly is his core issue
"We go again. as somebody once said" Love the reference to the gaming golem xQc
8:46 voice crack lol
Idk how people complain about being stuck in gold.. I am in bronze and I have lost 3 games in a row because I was the only person on my team who didn’t choose a DPS.
My best tip for role queue is to play roadhog, he can hold tanks, but he doesn’t have to rely so much on healers, just one trick hog unless your team decides to play a legit comp, once you climb out of gold, then It should get better with healers and tanks on your team. I hope this helps.
Ok I can’t be the only who read “ana!” As something else
Glad you're feeling better Sty!
This dude's a better Ana than I am and I'm in Diamond 😅
he may have better mechanics but his game sense is probably wack
Here is how to solo queue out of gold:
1. Don't overextend!
2. Don't rage stay focused! (I really help. If you can't stop raging you should maybe listen to music while playing or something)
3. Counterpick.
4. Fill
5. STAY WITH YOUR GOD DAMN TEAM GENJI AND HANZO!
Battletag? I have an account in high silver...
Rlly I am searching for a silver account to play with a friend, can't get this low even if I try (I will never throw matches)......(joke aside).^^
I was having a bad day and this plus the comments made me feel so much better. Keep up the great vids ❤
THIS IS WHY YOURE GOLD.
Pretty good ana, trash moira.
Sounds like you over-extend too much
He is in gold because overwatch ranking system has been broken for quite a while.
No because he doesn’t know how the fuck To his abilities Doesn’t matter if he has Good mechanics your Fucking dumb
The ashe not being healed in the beginning was the quick scoping bug, he looks like he plays COD, he aimed too quick and tried to shoot, but it cancels if your too fast, he tried to recover but didn't have enough time, it happens all the time
Climbing out of gold on sg servers is impossible lol
You're just bad and mad, stop blaming the game
This is exactly how I feel. Hovering between gold and plat with Ana since she was released.
Elo hell
ELO HELL
ELO HELL
ELO HELL
Use like as a it really exist button
"We go again, as somebody once said." I like the xQc reference.
This is what elo hell is like. People need to stop saying it isn’t real
That’s just an excuse for your skill level, yea your gonna get unlucky games but if u consistently play above your rank your gonna climb...
I’m sorry but 12:42 has me dead! “Our Reinhardt.. has gone crazy..”
Hashtag bring back skill based hero performance and win streaks.
AMEN
Well I mean sigma does have a high skill ceiling but yeah most of the other meta heroes right now are pretty low skilled
Skill based hero performance is still on for anyone below diamond. You still loose SR though if you loose a game.
@@giglioflex yeah that was the main problem with brig but reaper destroys right now in low ranks too with pretty little effort
It is still active, but the bump is pretty trash compared to how it was in the past, and the amount you lose is currently static compared to befere. There is no win streak bonus. I get why they changed it, but you just can't control ppl to work together. Its unfortunate but it just how it is.
20:30 looks like Anna was the only one up there and she had a dva in her face. I think they did the right thing in jumping down, sleeping the Bob and trying to retreat.
Bad pick in this meta
No voice coms
No good offensive nades
Ults aren't diamond level.
This person should be low plat, definetly not diamond
Completly agree
At about 20:30, I would have done the same thing as the Ana in the video. I’m a gold flex support. It goes to show why Stylosa’s videos are so helpful.
Just make a new account thats what i did. Now my support class is out of gold and climbing.
