HOT TAKE: RANK IS A BROKEN SCAM! I "acquired" a 3800 account and now play games with names like Linkzer and Super. I've been to low masters once a few seasons ago but have been low diamond most of my career, currently stuck in low plat on my original account with 2000 hours. I can't climb out of it. On the 3800 account (3950 currently) I have a solid 60%+ winrate with my three main heroes with 20+ hours of play time between this and last season on the GM account - Ana, Lucio, and Mercy, in that order. That's right, I didn't nose dive back to my "proper" SR. I have played enough to prove I'm not being carried, I keep up and hold my own. I tell people I'm plat but they laugh and don't believe me. Rank is a lie. MMR locks people into ranks.
Watching this gave me an idea for a really cool guess the rank style video that I would like to watch. The way I imagine it is maybe you take 3 different players on the same hero from different ranks and then the viewers have to guess. So maybe you go through 5 minutes of gameplay for each player and give some hints about things that give away the rank like “wow they can actually aim”, etc. Then you reveal what rank it is. This would be a great way to point out the differences between the ranks so low ranks can see the mistakes they make compared to higher ranks and it would be really fun to watch!

I guessed lower than sty just because the abysmal rein clip at the beginning. This player can climb, but I don’t know how because this was an unloseable game
I'm legit a 3600 main tank but I know enough to know why this guy isn't t500 from the first minute. He can't ever swap between scoped or unscoped, he's always hard locked into one or the other. His aim and positioning are fine but his hero specific gameplay is god awful. Doesn't reload when he has time to just because he isn't on 0 ammo, doesn't swap between heal and dps when he needs to until he's "done" doing one or the other (gets a kill or everyone full hp, etc), doesn't do animation cancel nades before reload animation. Then the swap to Lucio shows it all, skating back he messed up the rollout and randomly swaps to healing then back to speed before he even reaches his teammates and then tried to dps as him. This is either a very mechanically skilled new player, or, more likely, a player who started on another rank and has only played healer for a short time. Judging by how much time he spends scoped in, trying to dps, has good positioning but willingly gives it up sometimes, etc, I'd assume it's a former hitscan dps imo.
Having watched samito rage his way through several games, feeding his ass off, screaming at his team or maybe the enemy widow. Even a top 500 players can have horrible games.
@@Moon-eh6dv When he is playing well, dude is unstoppable. But kinda feels like he gets triggered pretty easily and then he starts hard/soft throwing. He can be pretty toxic as well. I would rather watch someone like Jay3 than him honestly.
i was within 20 sr which is less than 1 game! Some games your team pops off and you're in the zone, this is probably the best game this dude had in weeks so i factored that in
Damn if I qued up with this ana, we could both steamroll to top 500 easily. My highest has been 4030 and you guys would be amazed how bad some ana players really are even at that rank, this person is really good. If I had an ana player like this every game then I probably would’ve reached 4200 by now, unfortunately solo que is a gamble, cant tell whos going to smurf, throw, disconnect have a bad day, one trick or play in a role they normally don’t play. All those things works against solo players big time
I can tell you that I'm similar like that Ana. I am very aware of my positioning and I always try my best. But when comes to play vs tracer I usually fall to win with her. In game like this Ana can just chill and dot her job. That's why I drop from 3.600 (genji buff meta) to 3018 now.
I watched a lot of games in T500 and they never feel this intense and I've seen this trend quite some times. I feel like my games vs smurfs are more intense than the highest rated games. It's really weird.
This player was actually really good. It isn't like the other ones who typically think they're better thats for sure. Maybe not top 500 but definitely really good
This is what happens to me. I am hard stuck in bronze/ sliver because the dps and tanks you find there are highly unpredictable as far as skill level. I main Ana and my plays look exactly like this guy but I run into a problem where I will get stuck with a team that is just not anywhere close to the enemy team so the dps/ tank difference wipes us. I lose twice as much sr when I lose a game than when I win one so this randomness has me locked into the 1500-1600 ranks. I know everyone likes to say that but I cannot stress how much my game play looks like this guy if not better if I am having a particularly good game.
Says he wants to see a half time prediction... title says he thinks he should be top 500... email says he should be 2 ranks higher... So... umm...I can't quite do a prediction since you gave away the rank in the title, but still fun to watch you...
I’d say 3500 exactly. The tell tale trait is no use of quickscoping which is crucial to reach gm and on. So definantly not a GM player. Needs a lot of work on positioning often in the wide open or simply not in a great enough position to heal his team. Ok use of purples and didn’t really see a great use of nano. Was great at hitting his healing shots but his consistency on hitting sleep dart was iffy; all around mechanically decent player, but lacks game sense and positional awareness to take him to the next level.
good player, definitely wouldn't say they carried their team that map. everyone was doing their job well, bubbles for dove healers, grouping up for pushes and disengaging, waiting for heals. clearly won because they all worked together
To be honest, I would probably said they were Diamond that thought they should be GM because they were playing like a masters player but they felt better than that
There were places where there were some big misses and some general smaller timing/awareness issues, but it was relatively few of them and they were in the heat of the moment so it could have just been wasteful motions as they were focusing on something else or scanning the screen. If you slow the video way down and pick it apart piece by piece you start to see a lot of minor mechanical errors and less than optimal landings of the nades and missed shots. The positioning was much better but there were a couple of times where the nades/sleeps could have been a lot better, and the mechanics were good but not that much better/worse than the Ana players I was with or against in the mid 3k rank where I played before I quit playing and went to only watching. Since I was a similar rank, if they were really carrying the team and deserved to be 2 ranks higher, then it should have been leagues above what I was used to seeing, and it just wasn't. Instead it looked more like the matches I faced around the 3,650 rank. That said, I think they are a better player than 3500, just not THAT much The key thing that caught my attention was just the fact that there were those minor mechanical issues that slowed down how quickly the team got back up to high health, quite a bit of overhealing when Ana having smaller clips means it should be done wisely. In some cases there were avoidable deaths from lack of reaction. Thats more a critique on the fact that they were playing Ana with a Zen and no supplemental healing from anywhere else, so there wasn't a lot of ways to ignore/dismiss when a shot was missed on a low hp target. For example, the 3:40-4:00 minute mark. The really low Zen when the Winston'd Echo jumped in, that nade was a huge whiff and there were a few more in the match. After the whiff, there were extra shots put into the harmony orb'd Hanzo and Zarya when they were full when the fight was winding down/getting cleaned up and folks were moving up. The rest of the team pushed up but Ana stayed back restricting their view and as a result couldn't get as much healing out as the cart was getting ready to round the corner. As the team pushed forward the Zarya died right around the corner while Ana was repositioning through the building. That could have been avoided by moving sooner while the team was not being pressured and moving up. You can say that is a lot of nitpicking sure, but the rank is high enough that you pretty much have to start looking for little stuff like that since largely the mechanics are on point, the awareness absolutely is on point, and the game play is good.
Halftime SR Guess, 2600-2700SR based of of my own gameplay and SR compared to this (also an Ana main). Allright... I myself DON'T think I should be higher rank than I am, or rather I cant be bothered to try to climb out of my current SR cause Comp is boring as fuck. But based of of the Ana gameplay and Stylosas "feels" then I'm about 1000 SR lower than what i should be. Cause i play and position almost identically to this Ana player (believe me or not), I'm about 2500-2700 SR (this SR with maybe 25-30% use of coms, don't like coms because of the truckloads of salt and toxicity). This being said I don't really care about my SR though personally cause Skill cant be measured in numbers imo, it is just interesting to me. Anyways, I REALLY enjoyed this Ana gameplay and the entire team, as a fellow Ana main it is rare to see teammates that actually LET Bob sleep when slept zZzZz.
Here’s the thing, the Ana is good but nothing special. He is doing his job, but if you really want to climb, you have to hard carry basically. It’s like, this guy knows his job and understands Ana and her positioning, but is he really hard carrying like ML7 would be if he was in low masters? That’s what he should strive for, and this is the exact reason why I don’t think I deserve T500 as a 3.8k Ana 1 trick. I’ve played in 4.3k rated games, and it’s basically jumping from low plat to masters, kids in T500 really are that damn good. If you’re out of position for even more than 2 seconds in a T500 lobby as a support you’re fucking dead, so limit your mistakes to basically 0 and you’ll eventually climb.

@@Moon-eh6dv When he is playing well, dude is unstoppable. But kinda feels like he gets triggered pretty easily and then he starts hard/soft throwing. He can be pretty toxic as well. I would rather watch someone like Jay3 than him honestly.
Sty was having a brainfart when making this title lol
And his sleeps are horrible even on slow moving ulting road hogs man
Nothing hotter than a masters Ana main 🥵❤️
preach
i was within 20 sr which is less than 1 game!
All those things works against solo players big time
dang if only
Thanks man appreciate the kind words, I’m working hard to try and get gm
I can tell you that I'm similar like that Ana. I am very aware of my positioning and I always try my best. But when comes to play vs tracer I usually fall to win with her. In game like this Ana can just chill and dot her job. That's why I drop from 3.600 (genji buff meta) to 3018 now.
My halftime prediction: ~3600.
EoG prediction: ~3750.
Ana missing every sleeping she fires except ball in the first
Sty: high master?
I did end up getting to t500 even with my bad sleeps 😂
Yk my boy out here hustlin
I have a question, if you could nerf moira, what would you nerf, or would you not at all??
Nerf her sucking the life out of me a mile away 😂 what would you do?
She's pretty balanced
Half time prediction: mid to high diamond
I watched a lot of games in T500 and they never feel this intense and I've seen this trend quite some times.
I feel like my games vs smurfs are more intense than the highest rated games. It's really weird.
Surprise it's me again!
I'm a plat ana player and it is so annoying when people don't make line of site for me to heal
I'm guessing.... high diamond. Pretty clean, not too many mistakes, fun to watch honestly.
I'm calling it good enough LOL Player's hitscan aim is awesome but they need to work on their sleeps, they missed some really easy ones.
This player was actually really good. It isn't like the other ones who typically think they're better thats for sure. Maybe not top 500 but definitely really good
It doesn’t take a genius to know just wait till their rank score comes up in the end to get the result together lmao
honestly with him saying he carries a majority of games that gave away his rank immediately.
stylosa: i think this is masters
me stuck in gold who plays the exact same way: 👁👄👁
I've never seen you play and I know you don't play the same
This is what happens to me.
Halftime prediction: 3400.
Wow an actual good player in a guess the rank
Says he wants to see a half time prediction... title says he thinks he should be top 500... email says he should be 2 ranks higher...
So... umm...I can't quite do a prediction since you gave away the rank in the title, but still fun to watch you...
EHHHHHH MY BOY IS IN HERE WOOOOOEEEEEE!!!!!!!! GET SOME BROTHER
As far as best names go, I once met a player named Dadfondler and it had me rolling XDXD
I'm a similar type of Ana player, but hard stuck in plat. Almost got back to diamond in open comp, but stuck in gold in role queue hell.
Except u probably play at a plat or diamond level but other than that, similar
honestly half of the skills Sty talked about are kinda common in gold
Just blame it on the team 👁👄👁
Halftime prediction: 3400
Maybe he's not a higher rank yet because of consistency. You would have to play at this level every single match to be that high.
To be honest, I would probably said they were Diamond that thought they should be GM because they were playing like a masters player but they felt better than that
We need to get a real top 500 to submit a replay and say they should be 2 ranks above what they are
11 minutes watched, my guess dia 3200sr.
I think the title of this video should be Stylosa get jebaited! by player who thinks they should be TWO RANKS HIGHER?!?!?
It's not so fun when we know the answer regardless of whether we look because of the titles....
This’s one of the best games by a viewer that I’ve watched on here, he deserves to be higher tho, maybe not by 2 but certainly he shud be at masters
Half time: 3.4k
End: 3.2k
I guess my initial guess wasn't too bad.
If you’re out of position for even more than 2 seconds in a T500 lobby as a support you’re fucking dead, so limit your mistakes to basically 0 and you’ll eventually climb.
half time prediction is 3200 SR. At most. Just because of some mistakes.
elo hell doesn’t exist
any1 who read the title cant even play
"I SHOULD BE TOP 500"
you: he says his 2 ranks higher
Stylossa sponsored by coke ow youtuner turned billionaire
After the first round I was thinking mid to high plat great aim but poor ability usage and amo management
Wow this is a NASTY ana
I feel that failed rien ult in my bones.
