Swami Sarvapriyananda is a Hindu monk belonging to the Ramakrishna Order. He is the current resident Swami and head of the Vedanta Society of New York, a position he has been serving since January 2017. He grew up in Bhubhaneshwar in the Indian state of Odisha. From childhood onwards, he was inclined towards spirituality and was inspired by the lives of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. His family was also devoutly religious, who were initiated devotees in the Ramakrishna Order tradition. Swami Sarvapriyananda has stated that his first goal in life was to become a pilot and the second was to find God, with the second goal later becoming his only goal. After passing school, he completed his Business Management degree from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Sarvapriyandanda joined the Ramakrishna Order in 1994 and took his monastic vows in 2004.
Swami Sarvapriyananda served as assistant minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California in 2015. He was later appointed head of the Vedanta Society of New York, a position he has been serving since 6th January 2017. He was also selected as a Nagral Fellow for the year 2019-20 at Harvard Divinity School.

I am amazed by the high level of the English language of Mr.Swami Sarvapriyanda
he did his MA in Philosophy from Harvard University USA.
There was a saint Gadadharananda of the Belur Ramakrishna Mission order who was from a village Ekborna in Malda (where I also was born). This saint was a direct disciple of Swami Sivananda ( a co-disciple as Vivekananda under Ramakrishna). My father used to swear on Swami Gadadharananda's capability to levitate, i.e. stay floating in the air while meditating. My father , while he was in his teens , talked many times with Gadadharananda as he would come now and then to the village. At that time, there was no telephone or telegraph available to village. Just a few days after the demise of the elder brother of Swami Gadadharananda, a letter came to the family members at the village from him where he had given the exact time of death of his elder brother.He established a Kali temple in the village .

Thank you for your wise words! So many people get so caught up in trying to obtain occult powers that they lose their way to the ultimate goal which is oneness with God. When through pure meditation you realise God, all of those powers are available to you, but at that point you have the purity to use them with discretion, and only in accordance with God's will. Sri Ramakrishna said that we should avoid the siddhi powers like diseased filth.

Swami Ji who gives this occult powers? If this worldly phenomenon are illusion or if they are considered to be destined to happen, then what are the use of occult powers? Can they change destiny of anything. Can illusion also have future which can be predicted?
