The beauty of working on what hasn't been worked on beforehand is forging new paths, good will to you good sir,you have an awesome steed.
personally i would use a dremel with a cut off wheel to cut the head of the bolt for the washer fluid reservoir
I only had the one wheel for the dremel and no drill bits. I get the rest of my tools back this week. Then I will do it right. I also got a new washer fluid Reservoir coming.
What’s the intercooler you’re using? I’m torn between HDI and process west. HDI makes an SF5 specific kit but PW is the crème de la crème.
The fmic i tried to install is a ebay special. The top mount is a @mishimoto 02-07 sti
@@stressed_garagemaybe check race dynamix tuning out. Duncan is insanely knowledgable. Unless you (or I, for that matter) are set to make 500whp+ a FMIC is apparently pointless and it’s a better plan to upgrade the top mount under that power level.
In any case if you’re set on a FMIC, HDI does make an SF5 specific kit than can handle up to 700whp. I have also heard that buying the core and getting the piping custom isn’t crazy expensive relative to a kit.
Which radiator and top radiator hose are you using? I’ve been trying to find an aluminum with limited options
I bought it used, but I believe you can get a Mishimoto one and a koyo one for the sg that fit... ish
@@stressed_garage do you know which model it is? Or part number?
@5thAve_Ricky VH13026 or MMRAD-FXT-04 or ebay has some noname ones
11:18 what bumper is this?
It's called a burn up bumper. They're super hard to come by. There's two places you can get them. One in Japan as a reproduction and two from Kazakhstan as a reproduction. I mean you might find an original but it's probably not going to happen
