Replaced the batteries on the keyboard first as the mouse works, but not the keyboard. Good tips though. Also tied the onscreen keyboard, but no luck. Ordered a new K520 Logitech keyboard same one I have now..
Sounds good, and the only other trick is to sometimes try the non-working keyboard on another computer to confirm it's really broken before throwing it away. Thanks for the comments!
Check the mouse on another computer to verify that the mouse is working for starters. Sometimes the mouse is the problem. If it works on another device then move it back to the computer you are trying to get it to work with so you can narrow down the issue to the computer or the actual mouse. Also with wireless sometimes moving the dongle or receiver to another USB port will help. Also you may need to pair the device depending on if it's Bluetooth or wireless. 💻
Are they part of the same set? Using the same dongle/receiver? Re-Check the batteries, even if you already have, make sure they are new ones, installed properly, also check for a on/off switch on the keyboard. Try moving the dongle/receiver to another USB slot, check distance from keyboard to computer for signal, hopefully that helps. Sometimes the keyboards just go bad.
@@FixMyBleep that fixed it. I actually moved the dongle to another usb port and it did nothing, but then I tried it again in still a different port and it worked

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time my friend. This is called the process of elimination, when you troubleshoot an issue, we also need to verify your using a wireless mouse and keyboard that actually work. If they aren't working on one computer, take them to another computer and see if you can re-create the problem. If they are broken on both computers, buy a new keyboard and mouse set.
Thank you for your video, great tips! One to add is to check your settings -> devices->Mouse ->Additional Mouse Options -> Hardware to make sure it is on ELAN input device for a wireless mouse (& keyboard in my case). This may save me from sending back a brand new keyboard/mouse that was working only intermittently.
Hi there, sounds like you have something going on that's more than just a "numlock" or a switch that needs to be toggled on/off then. If you have tried moving the dongle to another USB port and that didn't work after rebooting the computer, then move the keyboard (with dongle) to another computer to test. If the problem follows to another computer, it's a bad keyboard. Hope that helps, and thanks for the comment.
useless video, i come here expecting for a video to solve my issue only to find out is a video showing everthing that people do before going online checking for a solution! checking my batterys how i didnt thought of that? AMAZING!
Not normally, but you can verify by removing the wireless mouse/keyboard for a moment, hook up USB version (If you have an extra) and reboot to test. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a frequency issue, or the speakers are picking up the dongle somehow. Check speaker placement, also try moving the dongle to another slot after testing. Hope that helps! 🖱
I’ve bought a surf onn keyboard and mouse for my Xbox and for two months is was great but now only the mouse connects and not the keyboard can anyone help??
Hi there, this link may be helpful: www.nstec.com/how-to-pair-onn-bluetooth-keyboard/ That site talks about resetting the Onn Keyboard, and re-pairing it with your system along with troubleshooting. Also try all the usual things, move the receiver or dongle to another USB port on the Xbox unit, replace the batteries, verify no other Bluetooth devices are connected at the same time. Hope that helps.
You may have something unplugged in your case if your USB ports aren't working at all, have you tried both the front ones, and rear ones (or top and back ones). Or if it's a laptop the board may have gone bad. The only other thing you can do is find an adapter/converter to another port so you can still use your mouse/keyboard. So if you have a USB-C port then a UBB to USB-C adapter, or something like that. Hope that helps.
So the F keys at the top of your keyboard should always work just by tapping them. For example, just tap F5 key while you have the internet open and it will refresh your open webpages. The special function key is marked on Logitech keyboards in the lower right corner by with a yellow FN key label, hold that down, then hit the corresponding yellow function key (along top of keyboard) for its special function (volume increase, photos, hope page, etc).
That's a great question. Hopefully you have a spare computer, keyboard, or use a cellphone to pull up the manufacturer information. Thanks for the comment.

It was working befor I got the new mouse as my old mouse did not work. And use I changed the USB port too. Now what? I have all wireless. Bluetooth is on. I do not know how to get a virtual keyboard on my desktop.
Is the mouse and keyboard part of the same set? Re-Check the batteries, even if you already have, make sure they are new ones, installed properly, also check for a on/off switch on the keyboard. Also you may need to re-pair the keyboard with the computer if it's Bluetooth, and if all else fails, do you have a wired USB keyboard in the house you can use to enter the PIN code so that you can get this to pair with the new keyboard? I've had to do that a few times. Hope this helps. Good luck!👍
@@FixMyBleep Thank you for the reply, so I ordered a new mouse and the receiver worked only for it and not the keyboard, so i put the old receiver in another usb port and my keyboard works.
If you want to save money, just buy extensions for a wired mouse. I have spent so much money trying to make wireless work. If you must have a wireless mouse or keyboard, buy them separately. Then you can focus on buying more expensive versions of the keyboard or mouse that doesn't work. Just remember, you will have to do this every two or three years.

Check for a stuck key, or a couple of keys that are being held down maybe. Also pull the batteries, place back in the keyboard, check the on/off switch, move the USB plug as well, when it jumps to another web page, that's usually some keys that are stuck, or not working. Hopefully this helps.
