Came here for some information about the Magic Keyboard I am considering but I stayed for the sonnet at 9:44 like damn I actually moaned when you started typing on this instrument
As a keyboard nerd, I tried a lot of keyboards. For a buget around 150, there are other better alternative. As a low profile, keychron k3 pro is an excellent pick. For those are more interested by comfort and reducing RSI you can pick the amazing keychron v10 (105$) or xbow nature (150$). With more budget like 400 $, you have great keyboards like dygma raise, moonlander and glove80. Personal advice for a good keyboard not too expensive a keychron v10 with kailh silent pink switches.
I'd personally get something like the Berylline by jcmkk3 if you care about comfort and reducing RSI. It's cheap, wireless, split, has footprints avaliable for most switch types, features a splay, and has tenting support. It also has 30-keys which you really can't go wrong with, it's insanely good.
Hey there! I see you're interested in PC building and optimization. Have you considered adding the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule to your setup? It's a versatile tool that offers powerful cleaning capabilities, including keyboard cleaning and maintaining your workspace's spotlessness. The reasonable price and high-quality features make it a solid option. Check it out!
I'm using the Ducky One 2 SF for my office, but I'm on the hunt for something new with a number pad. I want something that has the same feel as this ducky. I am leaning towards Keychron K4 Pro wireless. I really like the way red switches feel and sound when typing. I have tried a few different keyboards and I have noticed that when I use a regular office full-size keyboard I lose so many WPM. When I switch back to my 65% ducky I gain it all back. After watching your video and a few others I feel I need to keep looking for a low-profile mechanical keyboard with a number pad. I feel I can get even more speed from a low-profile keyboard and still get the number pad and mechanical feel.
Thanks for the overview! I've been using Microsoft Wireless Comfort 5000 for about 10 years if not more (Windows mostly, and now with Mac). The main reason for it was its relative ease of typing, ability to raise the user's end and thus allow the arms to rest better. Personal choice I guess. The downsides are large USB dongle (RF only) and its wrist pad area that is not so easy to clean, and after a while the upper layer becomes tacky. Can be cleaned, but is not the same afterwards. MX keys feels potential choice as to pair it with MX Master mouse.
I have the MX Mini. I use it for corporate work + personal use and have been doing so for ~3 years. Typing experience could be slightly better but it’s great and you can bring it in corporate environments with no issue as it looks super professional

These are some incredible options! I'm in the same case as Oliur, with the magic keyboard. Since I've been using it for so long I always come back to it. Besides the magic keyboard I also recommend the Mx Mechanical for people who want to get started on mechanical keyboards. I like it quite a lot.

@@matbishopsa hello. If you double press the pause/play button, it should skip to the next track, on the MX Mechanical. However, I never found the option to go to the previous track. In any case, you supposedly can reassign your keys with the Logi Options+ software
It should be noted that the backlighting on the Nuphy does not go through the characters/keycaps It goes around the keys. I have two Keychrons and they are amazing.
@@Gle-lv2fm I always run it plugged in so I do not have this data, but I am sure it is very good because it has a big battery, especially if you turn all the lights off.
This was a really nice quality video: clear, well-produced, and balanced. I'm in the market right now for keyboards since I despise the one that is on my current computer: the macbook. I use the separate apple magic keyboard (since I got it from work) but there is no room for key travel, as you point out. I grew up using laptops in the late 90s and early 2000s and really miss the feel of the mechanical keyboard. My first computer was an IBM laptop that I got in 1995 as a gift. All things considered, I am inclining towards either the Nuphy75 or Lofree (which you should consider reviewing if you haven't already). I wasn't aware of the mode sonnet, but I'm afraid the key distance may be too much for a transition from a macbook.
I just got an M2 Pro Mac Mini coming from a fully spec’d (other than Retina display at the time because that was $400 lol) late-2015 iMac. The iMac was long in the tooth and just booting up and unlocking the thing was a slow and tedious process that made using it undesirable. I went with the Magic Keyboard in Black with the numpad with my new mini because I am a teacher that wants to input grades in the numpad, TouchID on the keyboard is non-negotiable for me, I love typing on the Magic Keyboard, and I LOVE the aesthetic of the black version. Overall though, sitting down and having my desktop awake and unlocked within 2 second because of TouchID, and doing EVERYTHING I want without any delay is unbeatable.
Hey {{3}}! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the keyboards. I noticed you're also looking to optimize your desktop setup. Have you considered the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a compact device that offers powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, making it perfect for maintaining a spotless environment. Its multiple features and reasonable price make it a solid choice for desk cleaning and beyond. Check it out!
Mx Keys Max - Black. Best gadget I ever bought. Waiting for my Mx Master 3s. If you could do a video on the best webcams as well, that would be really useful. Also, new to the channel. Love the vibe.
I got a bunch of keyboards, typically Apple Magic Keyboard, Anne Pro 2 (red switches, not a big fan tough) and Keychron K6 with Gateron brown, which I like but now I'm into a mechanical keyboard with PBT keycaps (the K6 doesn't have such keycaps) and with absorbing foam in order to produce a thockier and deeper sound. I've seen the K8 Pro but haven't bought it yet. Nice video Oliur!
I used to use a Magic Keybaoard for 4 years until I decided to buy a Keychron K8 TKL. It's under $100 USD but the quality is very good but since I also use a Macbook (which has a magic keyboard) I always find myself tempted to pull out the Magic Keybaord becase I know I can type 20 wpm faster.
@@fasirehm I have the M1 Macbook Pro and it has the same layout as the M2 Air. The only difference between their layouts and the Magic Keyboard is that the magic keyboard has full size Left and Right arrow keys, unlike the Macbooks' half sized ones. The base Magic Keyboard doesn't come with the fingerprint reader but you can get a version with one.
I bought Logitech regular one (not mechanical) but feel it limits my fingers movement, thus return it back, does the mechanical differe than the regular one, or Nuphy is better that both
I use; - Ducky Mini One SF in black with blue keys (147 USD incl. overseas shipping) - Royal Kludge RK68 in white with brown keys (67 USD incl. shipping)
I've been thinking of buying a new keyboard. So glad you made a video on them. I want something that's minimalistic and does the job, so my best options are Magic Keyboard and Logitech MX Keys. Hmm...
Space grey Apple Magic Keyboard is the one I’m sticking with. I have tried a mechanical keyboard and a cheep portable Bluetooth keyboard and nothing compares 🙌
Hey, I highly recommend checking out the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule. It's a fantastic tool for keeping your desk and other spaces clean. With its powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, it's perfect for maintaining a spotless environment. The reasonable price and great quality make it a worthwhile investment. Give it a try! 🚀
That Nuphy seems good, but one of the problems with this kind of keyboard is the angle....it seems not to have the option to adjust the angle for typing. I am interested in testing the MX Keys from Logitech. As a mechanical keyboard, I have the Magic Wand from Redragon and the problem I am facing right now is the keys, they are too high
I just moved into the world of Mechanical keyboard, and i am using the Techware Phantom. Really good keyboard with Brown switches and a Customized RGB.
The aesthetic you go for is the best mate, I take a lot of inspiration from it when pairing items together in my setup. Do you have a preference between ISO and ANSI layouts?
Hey there! Thanks for your comment. When it comes to keyboard layouts, it really depends on personal preference. Some people prefer ISO layouts for the extra keys, while others like the simplicity of ANSI layouts. Ultimately, it's all about what feels comfortable for you and suits your needs. By the way, have you heard of the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a nifty device that offers powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, perfect for keeping your desktop setup clean. Check it out!

For those looking for a "cheaper", yet still "Porsche" level. Mode also make the "envoy" which is a 65%. But amazing bang for your buck, seriously good
Thanks for the great video. I’m a Mac and PC user and switched a couple of times between the Mx keys and the Magic Keyboard. Loved the functionality of the Logitech especially with the backlight and the opportunity to connect different devices. But to be honest I’m always coming back to the Apple keyboard because I’m so used to the typing experience and love to have the same typing when mobile or desktop. 😊
I'm really interested to see what the Electronics Material Office Altar I will be like. That said, having TouchID built in to the Magic Keyboard is a big benefit that all competitors lack.
@oliur/ultralinx what switches are in the mode sonet you have in the video? Because @9:44 i officially declare that the best sounding keyboard on earth.
Nice spread. I’m using the two non-mechanical you featured currently The Magic Keyboard is nice for work as it has the Touch ID as I’m constantly using it to log into different application and I don’t have to reach to to my non dominant side to my laptop on a mount In my personal setup i have the MX keys full size that has both Mac and windows keys. I designed that space so anyone could plug any laptop in with one cable and instantly have access to the power and monitor and then have access to the MX keys and mx master 3 instantly with the unifying receiver in the back of the monitor hub. I would have preferred the mini rather than the full keys but it wasn’t available at the time and I don’t miss the Touch ID like in the work setup as the watch unlocks the laptop for me instantly I have been thinking about trying a mechanical, the mx mechanical would slot in nicely connecting it through the hub so I wouldn’t lose anything by swapping it in and connecting through the hub too

Love your keyboard review. I totally agree on going back to Apple Magic Keyboard after using several other keyboards. I am using alternately - Apple Magic Keyboard and Nuphy Air75. I also have in my collection Logitech and Ducky One2SF.
I currently have a keychron k2v2 with red switches on my mac setup and on my pc setup y swithc between the epomaker th80 with flamingo switches when gaming and the logitech mx keys mini when editing something
I am using the MX Keys Mini, it's amazing to be honest... Does the job done and I like how small the keyboard doesn't take much space and I don't need a numpad. Switching between multiple devices makes it very handy too.
Hey there! I've been using the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule for a while now, and it's been a game-changer for keeping my desk clean. It's compact, powerful, and the blowing feature is perfect for quickly cleaning my keyboard. The price is reasonable too. I highly recommend giving it a try!
I am currently using the Keychron K2 Pro with red switches (75% layout) and I know it´s a little pricy if you want hot swap, alu frame and RGB backlight but I think it´s worth it because I hate the magic keyboard and there is no way I am ever going to use one of those. On the other side I think there are also decent options for a little less money (like shown in the video) so it´s fully up to you and your budget.

Redragon keyboards are an excellent entry point to mechanical keyboards! You get decent quality for a crazy low price so even if you manage to break it while modding it you won’t be distraught. Don’t get me wrong, you can feel the quality jump as you get to more expensive keyboards, but it’s incredibly hard to argue with the Redragon prices!
@@TyroSean yeah just like I said, I have the MX keys which is also a top of the line keyboard. Can I know the reason people mod their mechanical keyboard? The Redragon just sounds so good for me, I just got it yesterday, connected it to my windows and PS5, I’m learning how to type faster and also game with keyboard & mouse instead of controller. Btw, can I get an idea of what makes more expensive mechanical keyboard better than the one I have? Cos it looks okay and good to me.
@@willy7968 people mod keyboards to make them feel and sound the way they want them to! Something as simple as changing the keycaps all the way to bandaid and tape mods all have profound effects on how the keyboard looks, feels and sounds. The mechanical keyboard community is all about personal preference, so if you’re happy with how a keyboard looks, feels and sounds stock (without any mods) then that’s brilliant - more power to you! A lot of people want to customise the keyboard to make it the way they want it. More expensive keyboards tend to be made from higher quality components, sometimes with factory lubing on the switches and stabilisers. They also sometimes come with extra features, like support for VIA (software to remap keys), or rotary dial knobs, screens, hot swap boards so you can easily replace switches, etc. The higher priced keyboards are usually made in smaller batches, and because of economies of scale that forces them to be sold at that higher price point. Have a look at channels like Keybored and Hamaji Neo for some deep-dive information on modding keyboards
@@TyroSean I agree with you, unfortunately, I can't map keys on my cheap mechanical keyboard, but I like the factory sound a lot. Just getting conversant with a mechanical keyboard...
I have a Meletrix Zoom TKL - a ten-keyless keyboard that I’ve modded further, and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made! Even though the underside plate is made from glass it’s built like an absolute tank, and I absolutely adore typing on it. I also have a Keychron K2v2 (again, modded) that I love typing on and a Keychron K1 (also modded) and I would wholeheartedly recommend any Keychron keyboard to someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards, purely as their pricepoint is so low but the quality is so high!
as someone who as been in the keyboard community there is no "best" keyboard, most of it is up to preference some may be best at their own things such as connectivity, portability, profile, build quality, etc.

Came here for some information about the Magic Keyboard I am considering but I stayed for the sonnet at 9:44 like damn I actually moaned when you started typing on this instrument
I'm so used to Magic Keyboard and forced to use other ones after switching to Windows for work, is there any similar one to Magic Keyboard?
Keychain K2 V2 has been wonderful. travel is a little far but once you get used to it, it’s amazing
Best to watch in 1,25x speed
🤝
Timesaver 🙌
What’s not best to watch in 1.25x or 1.5x ….
tq ❤
for some reason my brain processed this comment as 1 - .25 so .75x speed..... not as time efficient but entertaining in its own way HAHA
QuickFire CM Storm - Nothing will ever beat this keyboard.
Using KeyChron K8, absolutely loving it ! ❤
I've been using the Satechi Slim X1 for years, because I needed it to be dark and backlit, best keyboard ever for mac IMO.
As a software engineer, I'm using the logitech K650, the only think i don't like about it is it does not have a backlight.
I am using the Logitech MX Mechanical. It works flawlessly.
I have the MX Mini. I use it for corporate work + personal use and have been doing so for ~3 years. Typing experience could be slightly better but it’s great and you can bring it in corporate environments with no issue as it looks super professional

The MX mini work with iPad Pro?
@@delanobersan7344 it worked. I use ipad pro 10.5 and easily switch between different bluetooth device.
Great video, subbed!
my MX Mechanical tends to sleep after a short amount of time, and needs to reconnect via bluetooth to my Mac - do you have this problem?
Beautiful pictures. Absolutely amazing. You really have an eye for this❤
These are some incredible options! I'm in the same case as Oliur, with the magic keyboard. Since I've been using it for so long I always come back to it. Besides the magic keyboard I also recommend the Mx Mechanical for people who want to get started on mechanical keyboards. I like it quite a lot.
I have a Keychron K3 with brown switches, which is a very similar keyboard to the MX in my opinion. I love Logitech products and use an MX Master, so would love to change to the MX Mechanical eventually; the battery on the K3 is abysmal as well. There's only one thing bothering me - the MX does not seem to have media keys? I use the Play/Pause, Next & Previous keys extensively and can't really live without them. On my keyboard they are located left of the volume keys. Is there any way to change the functionality of the keys in the Logi software?
@@matbishopsa hello. If you double press the pause/play button, it should skip to the next track, on the MX Mechanical. However, I never found the option to go to the previous track. In any case, you supposedly can reassign your keys with the Logi Options+ software
@@dinis984 Thank you for the reply. Is it possible to reassign the function keys?
@@matbishopsa yes. Only the F1,F2,F3, and Esc are unavailable to reassign, I think. I’m not sure about this last part tho
@@dinis984 Fantastic! Suppose I can just move the Play key physically to the left and assign the keys using the software. Thanks!
Oliur / UltraLinx, This is so fun! I'm happy I found your channel!
Great Video! I have multiple Keychron keyboards. K5,K6,K8, Q7, and 2 Q 8's alice keyboards.
It should be noted that the backlighting on the Nuphy does not go through the characters/keycaps It goes around the keys. I have two Keychrons and they are amazing.
How is the battery life on the Keychrons?
@@Gle-lv2fm I always run it plugged in so I do not have this data, but I am sure it is very good because it has a big battery, especially if you turn all the lights off.
@@bryanlittle4647 oh I see, thanks!
Keychron Q1 with cherry brown switches and old school Mac II keys. It’s a beast!
Does anyone know the standing light tube in the left corner? THX! :)
I'm using keychron K3 mechanical keyboard and I'm totally happy with it. it's by far the best keyboard I used.
best keyboard I tried yet is hhkb and Thinkpad keyboard, just typing experience is so good for me .
Keychron v1 with TTC silent switches works beautifully with Mac
I just purchased the Logitech Mechanical Mini a few days ago for home office. Looking forward to using it. I use the Magic Keyboard at work though.
What is the free editing apps for photos for iPhone pro14max. Thxs
I have a Keychron Q1 Pro + red switches with razer phantom keycaps, love it, the build is solid and the sound is so good
Great call with the Mode Sonnet. I have it too with Gat Black Inks, Poly plate, 205g0, gmk keycaps, and it is absolutely beautiful to use.
I wonder if sonnet allows you to choose between south and north facing?
It doesn’t. I’m also pretty sure it doesn’t have rgb
the logi mx keys is my all time favorite key board. Have you tried create more appealing custom thumbnails to increase your engagement on youtube.
Is the magic keyboard same layout as 13' m2 macbook air? Which macbook do you have?
@@fasirehm I have the M1 Macbook Pro and it has the same layout as the M2 Air. The only difference between their layouts and the Magic Keyboard is that the magic keyboard has full size Left and Right arrow keys, unlike the Macbooks' half sized ones. The base Magic Keyboard doesn't come with the fingerprint reader but you can get a version with one.
Try custom keyboards from barebones they are good. Monsgeek m1 is a great in stock example right now.
I bought Logitech regular one (not mechanical) but feel it limits my fingers movement, thus return it back, does the mechanical differe than the regular one, or Nuphy is better that both
I'm currently using an Everest 60 and have on order a Nuphy Halo 75
Where did you source the Nuphy? Seems hard to find in the UK. I’m guessing it’s a US rather than UK layout?
I use;
- Ducky Mini One SF in black with blue keys (147 USD incl. overseas shipping)
- Royal Kludge RK68 in white with brown keys (67 USD incl. shipping)
I've been thinking of buying a new keyboard. So glad you made a video on them. I want something that's minimalistic and does the job, so my best options are Magic Keyboard and Logitech MX Keys. Hmm...
Currently maining a TGR Jane V2 keeb
Bruh the entire comment sections keyboards combined probably doesn’t approach your keyboards cost
Nice video! I’m currently using the keychron Q3 Pro SE in silver (LOVE IT!) and a matching silver numpad!
Using an Odin V2. On par with the Sonnet in terms of price/sound. Thanks for the review of a few upper end boards.
Can i use aplle magic keybord for my windows pc?
I'm using the Keychron K1 SE (87 key) and love it!
Why is there no Keychron?
sonnet goes hard
Does the magic keyboard have the layout size wise and button wise as a m2 macbook air?
Yes
is the nuphyair 75 compatible to use with Samsung Galaxy tablet (s6 lite)?
Space grey Apple Magic Keyboard is the one I’m sticking with. I have tried a mechanical keyboard and a cheep portable Bluetooth keyboard and nothing compares 🙌
Hey, I highly recommend checking out the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule. It's a fantastic tool for keeping your desk and other spaces clean. With its powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, it's perfect for maintaining a spotless environment. The reasonable price and great quality make it a worthwhile investment. Give it a try! 🚀
Currently using a Logitech K380 - im a minimalist man although I would in an ideal world like to have the Magic Keyboard as they type so well.
Great video - could you share the full specification for the Mode Sonnet please?
That Nuphy seems good, but one of the problems with this kind of keyboard is the angle....it seems not to have the option to adjust the angle for typing. I am interested in testing the MX Keys from Logitech.
As a mechanical keyboard, I have the Magic Wand from Redragon and the problem I am facing right now is the keys, they are too high
I just moved into the world of Mechanical keyboard, and i am using the Techware Phantom. Really good keyboard with Brown switches and a Customized RGB.
Great!!! sorry, what is your desk pad?
What are the specs on your Nuphy Air75?

But amazing bang for your buck, seriously good
Dude the walnut accent😩
I grabbed the Logitech mechanical mini for work and it’s great, if you can get a deal on it then that’s the best scenario
I like the Nuphy. Good sound and mechanical, of course.
I’m using the two non-mechanical you featured currently
The Magic Keyboard is nice for work as it has the Touch ID as I’m constantly using it to log into different application and I don’t have to reach to to my non dominant side to my laptop on a mount
In my personal setup i have the MX keys full size that has both Mac and windows keys. I designed that space so anyone could plug any laptop in with one cable and instantly have access to the power and monitor and then have access to the MX keys and mx master 3 instantly with the unifying receiver in the back of the monitor hub. I would have preferred the mini rather than the full keys but it wasn’t available at the time and I don’t miss the Touch ID like in the work setup as the watch unlocks the laptop for me instantly
I have been thinking about trying a mechanical, the mx mechanical would slot in nicely connecting it through the hub so I wouldn’t lose anything by swapping it in and connecting through the hub too
Hey there! Have you heard of the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a compact device that offers powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, making it perfect for maintaining a clean environment on your desk and even in your car. It's got some great features, like high-quality filters and a swift keyboard cleaning function. Definitely worth checking out!
bro best budget keyboards of 2024
I have a lot of keyboards. For me the MX Keys Mac mini is great. Also the MX mechanical. I use it with a Glorious Gaming wrist rest.
I highly recommend giving it a try!
your voice is literally heaven
Magic Keyboard, but i would like to see a review of the Lofree Flow...
me too
Want to see conparison with lofree flow low-profile one, did you get that?🤣
Bro says the Magic Keyboard ain’t got travel, then there’s me using the ipad magic folio keyboard since 2019
I am currently using the Keychron K2 Pro with red switches (75% layout) and I know it´s a little pricy if you want hot swap, alu frame and RGB backlight but I think it´s worth it because I hate the magic keyboard and there is no way I am ever going to use one of those. On the other side I think there are also decent options for a little less money (like shown in the video) so it´s fully up to you and your budget.
Hey there! Thanks for your comment! If you're looking for a versatile tool to keep your desktop clean, I highly recommend checking out the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule. It offers powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, perfect for keyboard cleaning and maintaining a spotless workspace. It's compact, has high-quality filters, and multiple tubes for various uses. Definitely a great addition to any desktop setup! Let me know if you have any other questions or need further recommendations. Happy cleaning!
Iquinix 97 and Wind x98 are great higher end options for those needing a numpad.
I have the MX keys, about $100. I also got the redragon K617 for $36. I think the redragon is a better bang for your buck!
Also! Would you consider trying the s8 ultra tablet, I think it might be the only good android tablet... it looks SICK to replace a laptop with
I have a Meletrix Zoom TKL - a ten-keyless keyboard that I’ve modded further, and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made! Even though the underside plate is made from glass it’s built like an absolute tank, and I absolutely adore typing on it. I also have a Keychron K2v2 (again, modded) that I love typing on and a Keychron K1 (also modded) and I would wholeheartedly recommend any Keychron keyboard to someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards, purely as their pricepoint is so low but the quality is so high!
as someone who as been in the keyboard community
there is no "best" keyboard, most of it is up to preference
some may be best at their own things such as connectivity, portability, profile, build quality, etc.
7:33 it's because you're from London. I feel the same bro 😢
i could listen to this guy all day.
