Really appreciate this video. The solution by changing the "filter" selection worked for me. I had exhausted all of the HP fixes on my HP 17 Envy Laptop s-000 with backlight keyboard. Even a connection of a wired keyboard would not solve my problem. This video is excellent.

This video looks great. Unfortunately for me even the on screen keyboard wouldn't work. I'm not sure what to do from here as I can't get into the computer. I tried a couple of other suggestions (tapping escape when powering up and selecting f10 and f5 and another was to hold the power button down for one minute) but neither were successful.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Help need suggestion the HP Envy is only two years old and today I have these three failures happen - laptop keyboard not work mouse touchpad not working, the flip screen to tablet mode and the touch screen all not working simultaneously out of the blue. Is there something common to all the above issues that requires to be fixed? Please comment need suggestions thanks

If it was a problem with sticky keyboard thing just do those steps and turn it off.. that worked for me

My keyboard was working and then next minute wasnt. Obv, batteries are first thing I replaces. Still nothing. The mouse has an on/off button, does the keyboard?! Or a simple reset? When I put in new batteries, the 'Caps Lock' light, lights up to show power, after that, NOTHING, even when repressing the capslock on and off, nothing no light

"And if that didn't work....." :) Seriously Thank you for the options, I will try the same try the same solutions. System had a bad crash and got it to boot again. (Crust was between two SMD parts. At least the component was not burned). Glad to have it back, but the only issue is no keyboard operation. Hopefully one of these will work. And if THAT doesn't work....
How long the process of step 2?
My laptop been restarting 1hour as of now? I did the uninstall the device in the keyboard is it because step 1 did not make it.

Hi i typed the c:windows\system32 thing and couldn't find it i then done ot manually by searching in hard drive and it wouldn't open up even as administrator can u please help

In my case the touch pad wasnt working either. I tried to update the keyboard drivers and it said the best drivers were already installed so i tried updating the touch pad drivers. It searched and found a new driver but it said windows had a problem and couldnt install the driver. However, the keyboard and touchpad started working agian.

Maybe go to the On-Screen Keyboard then press Alt Crtl and delete it helped me!

If you are using Windows 10 try to run windows update, sometimes it will install the latest drivers👍

Thanks tried all of your suggestions. About to recover system to a previous version when I noticed a slight corrosion on the keyboard battery terminals stopping the signal getting to the dongle. After scraping the corrosion off it works fine now. Thanks very much learned a lot from your video. Cheers
