I enjoyed this video! I liked that you aren’t a “know it all” you worked through the steps and it was very nice seeing you figure it out. Good work bro
Nice video love Chris and the big picture diagnosing. Can check the winter charge by checking the temperature of the receiver using a laser thermometer
those thermostat's always skew "warmer" with age and need turned down lower to compensate. that said, they should be replaced if skewed off from the dial more than a few degrees.
Not all. However if you are in a humid climate and have an infiltration issue ( leaky gaskets or panel seams) operator error (staff props the door open to load product in or out while running steam kettles nearby) or in this case a design temp very close to freezing, a time clock is needed.
@@DanO181919 all walk in coolers should have an air defrost, R-22 coils especially like to ice up, though a defrost timer isn't required as you can have air defrost set in the controller
You’re going to naturally have a slightly lower liquid pressure compared to your discharge pressure. If you were guaged up to the discharge line I’d imagine you would see your head master indeed was maintaining a 148 psi. The valves job is to maintain a minimum discharge pressure by stacking liquid in the condenser.
U are using a phone as a camera if so its a bad ass camera on that phone but the reason i ask is cause the frame rate is dropping a lot cause it could be cause of apps running in the background
yep, perfect for deli meat storage, if not they'll get dinged by health department when it hits defrost at an odd busy time, letting the meats creep up in temps slightly. make them use multiple thermometers when they try giving you shiiiit, complain about how easily the calibration can be off as the batteries age in their devices ;) trust me they do and they're always skewed, I don't using proper voltage drop compensated test gear (the old school analog stuff, calibrated yearly or more often was 10x more reliable)
Please don't take this the wrong way, (I know you have thick skin) you sound like Tommy Chong when he is in character for Officer Stidanko. Thanks for the videos!
Handometer on the headmaster while -10 degrees ambient.... line "feels cold". Dude you have them calibrated digits! At -10 degrees C or F this old skinny southern man is staying in bed under the covers! Props to ya!
I have more than 15 years refrigeration experience, but I like what you do!

Nice shout out and cute pic of Chris. Lol. And job well done, as always Bill.

Good one bud like the bulb repair that’s a good one
Thank you for sharing your experiences, God Bless you brother 👏🙏
very cool step by step video. very cool thanks.
Good vid Bill ... Thnx for posting ...
awesome video bill, you da man
Just wondering if running with only fan during the cold weather or is that why the head master job
Head master will keep condenser backed up with liquid
12:26 They are completely filled with a liquid so it doesn't matter which way they are mounted, see them as a hydraulic system.
Good one Bill👍
In my opinion 148 is very low head pressure for 404
More efficient
First like nice video bill have a good night
That was literally a subcooled video😂 thanks you sharing
How much do charge for this kind case usually?
220, 221, 222 what ever it takes! 🤣🤣🤣 don't know if you seen the movie!
Great video.. thank you
great troubleshooting big picture diagnosis style lol
Chris says big picture diagnosis
Good job Bill

Do all walk-in coolers run a defrost timer?

@@davejohnsonnola7908 great info 👍. Thank you! I have all those conditions.

👍👍👍nice job
What is a headmaster
Speaking as a Californian, it’s weird hearing “coming down to temp now at 32” when it’s 22 degrees colder outside of the building. 🤣
lol. :))
Hi! Do you know where I can buy used hvac tools online?
Amazon has decent prices... get em new
