- Kiely Williams is opening up to ET’s Deidre Behar about why it sounds like she sings with a lisp on 3LW's hit 2000 single, 'No More.' Despite not having a lisp in real life, Kiely reveals the technical reason behind why the vocal on the song sounds like she does. The 34-year-old singer, who left the spotlight a decade ago to enjoy life away from the spotlight, also reflects on her solo career and how she feels about her tracks ‘Spectacular’ and ‘Make Me a Drink.’ While Kiely confirms she’s not working on any solo music at the moment, she’s currently focused on her new reality series, 'BET Presents The Encore,' which premieres June 9 on BET. The show focuses on former girl group singers who live in a house and try to make music together in 30 days. Alongside Kiely are singers Nivea, Pamela Long from Total, Fallon King and Felisha King from Cherish, Shamari Devoe from Blaque, Lemisha Grinstead and Irish Grinstead from 702 and Aubrey O'Day from Danity Kane.

Way better to be off key than have a lisp. Cher can sing and they auto-tuned her voice in 'I Believe' a year before 3LW formed (1999). So that's what they did with this group, auto-tuned just to auto-tune, a fashion.
The same year 3LW's 'No More' was released Madonna did the auto-tune effect with her voice using a "EMS 2000 vocoder to twist the vocals" (different than auto-tune but can hear similar effect) So it was no big deal to do that trick. If Kiely Williams couldn't sing then she wouldn't be in Disney movies. They just don't hire amateurs. Get with it. You're welcome.

I really thought I wouldn’t like kiley on the show but I ended up liking her. She seams much more mature now. Also she is absolutely stunning! I respect that she stood up for people who had a speech impediment and deal with that everyday. I never laughed at the memes never thought it was funny as I know people struggle with that daily.

We didn't use Auto-Tune. We just used the rack unit built by the creators of Auto-Tune with built-in Auto-Tune and to confuse you I'm gonna refer to it by its brand name and not the model number.

Tbh (to be honest) I really believe that after she had that experience with 3lw, she thought that it could really help her career, but I really believe that karma got her and it taught her that what she did was wrong. Kiely looks very beautiful, I've always been fascinated by her beauty actually. Speaking about her lisp, she definitely had some sort of a lisp even though she's somehow right, in her verse from that song it was extremely accentuated. Her lips isn't so strong and evident when you listen to her speaking during interviews at that time. Nevertheless, she should be proud of her lisp, it's exactly what made "No More" iconic, the whole comment section on YT is about her, after 20 years the song and the "lisp" are memorable.
