Scalabrine
Tim Duncan definitely! I'd pick him over LeBreon.

Nash!!

Kobe will always be the best 2000s player of all time no matter what
Right!? That's why he has all those MVP's! Oh wait...he only has ONE! And he shouldn't even have that! 08 should of went to either Chris Paul or LBJ!

Would be interesting to see a “midterm” version of this, over a span like ‘95-‘04 or ‘05-‘14. Obviously less sexy, but players whose prime is divided between two calendar decades are at a disadvantage on these “decade” lists.
I agree
if you did '05-'14 that's Bron's whole prime lol
Carter Bilbro 14? No id say 2018 but even this year I’d argue he’s the best player overall.
Chris Webber comes to mind midterm version.
Like wade especially
Tim Duncan, best superstar and role model.
@zax the hooper he had Shaq in three of those wins
@zax the hooper 2000-02 Shaq and Kobe three-peat. Duncan was always the man. I don't remember Duncan ever quitting in the playoffs
@zax the hooper The Lakers won 34 games without Shaq after when 56 games a year. How good has the Spurs been since Duncan retired. Kobe messed up LA twice 🤦♂️
@zax the hooper Wasn't Kobe a starter in 1999 🤔 you mean Shaq did win his firtst title until legendary coach Phil Jackson. Shaq didn't have Phil Jackson as his coach for 11 seasons. Shaq did lose in the first round nearly his entire career like Olajuwon 😂 or disappear in big games like Karl Malone 😂
Kobe Overrated dead ass
Dwyane Wade is so underrated.
Wilson, I love your channel. I be at work just letting your videos play all day. Never get tired listening to what new information you have for us. Thanks for the great content.
Man ....Kevin Garnett won 4 straight rebounding titles!! He was an all star each year and was a guaranteed 22points and 12 boards a game! A DPOY winner and won a title in 2008 on the Celtics beating a prime Kobe Bryant and his Lakers! Amazing!!!! And a great trash talker!! 😆
If TMAC wasn’t injury prone I can guarantee he would have been on this list
Nice list with great analysis
Exactly Kobe and Shaq needed each other Shaq would wear you down then Kobe come snatch your heart out.
Love u Wilson, keep up the content 👍
Tim Duncan never overcame adversity? He had the greatest solo carrying job in playoffs 2003 with an awful supporting cast. It way more impressive than Kobe ever has done in 2000s. And if you're gonna discredit Duncan for having Pop, then why not mention about when Kobe himself had an all-time great coach in Phil Jackson?
Awful supporting cast? Dude, he had tony parker, manu ginobili, and stephen jackson, with veterans Steve Kerr and Steve Smith and the Admiral!
In 2003 Duncan had the Admiral by his side and Manu and TP! You're discrediting them just to say he didn't have help
@@dwightjr.pilotin4547 robinson is uhm 40 years old at that time tp is very bad in hist first 5 years while ginobili is still a rookie. there's a reason many people are saying the 2003 season playoff run of td is the most underrated of all time. the names are great but use some context first before saying shit stuff.
@@kingdinodragonite3470 oh come on,shit stuff my ass. TP was not bad in hist 1st 5 yrs. The hell are you saying? He was already a solid player his sophomore year, averaging 15ppg the whole season! And just because Manu was a rookie doesn't mean he was trash or weak then. And i never said that that the Admiral was still superstar level, that's why i put him with the veterans because they provided playoff experience and locker room presence needed to win a championship. They even had a very solid, tho dirty, defender in Bruce Bowen. Again, Timmy didn't carry one of the weakest supporting cast of the decade in 2003! They were a legit championship contender all throughout the decade!
King Dino Dragonite are you crazy somophore tp was solid with 15ppg and 5 assist the year after have 14ppg 6 assist the year after that 16.6ppg 6 assist and after that year tony became All Star and on the playoffs Tony was really better
Great vid
Pure facts in this video great job
I have Kobe over Duncan simply because he flat out dominated him. Thats why Pops only said he'll put Duncan on Kobe if its necessary. Pops know Kobe would get past Duncan and score on him.Kobe was best player in the world in 2001, Shaq said it himself. Kobe was best player from 2001 to 2011. Lets not forget Kobe was held back by Phil Jackson. In the playoffs, Kobe could have had more points but Phil Jackson told Kobe to tone down his scoring. Duncan is a PF so his defense better be up to par. Kobe's impact in that 2000 era is simply underrated. All I have to say is can Duncan carry a Smush whos worse than Tony Parker, Lamar Odom, Luke Walton, Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, Chris Mihm, Devean George and shannon brown? I don't think so.
great video
And Paul Piece? He should be on that list
I could put Paul Pierce over Jason Kidd (no problem with Kidd). I think Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and Paul Pierce maybe there probably or maybe just honorable mentions
@@criskeys14 Pierce>Melo and Howard don't joke. Paul got two finals, one ring, one lost in game 7 and one Final MVP... he should def be in that list
Ray allen could also be on the list...ben wallace and rip hamilton as well
TMAC should be up here he didn't have the same team kobe had and still made the allstar game and got 2 scoring TITLES with no help
Bruh if you got no good teammates make you scoring number better cause tmac is an iso heavy player so they just pass the ball to him , I know having good teammates help but having a bad teammates make your scoring number better
@@DLXN-lp9cj FINALLY, someone with reason
That makes no sense. He’s gonna average more points if he has worse teammates
He for two scoring titles BECAUSE he had no help. He wasn’t better than anyone on this list. He just wasn’t.
Tmac said Kobe is the best hands down in the 2000s
I think Kobe #1 is reasonable. This being said you mention that Duncan always had Pop. True. However you can't use this against Duncan to prop up Kobe. Kobe had Phil Jackson and only ever saw success with Phil just like Duncan with Pop.
Duncan is the ultimate player. Sacrificed stats and money for the team. If he was selfish he could have easily averaged a lot more points. Duncan is greater than Kobe no doubt
@Tod Wilkinson i mean kobe was a good defender
Only Shaq showed that his winning pedigree is not necessarily tied to a certain coach or team system
But imagine if Kobe would have had Phil every season. His prime years was with no Phil. If Kobe has Phil and a great roster like Duncan had ALL 19 years, no telling how many rings he’d have.
Steven Ellis It's still not an even comparison. Pop became a legendary coach along with Duncan, Phil was already a 6 time championship coach before Kobe ever played for him
Nice list
Yo Wilson great video
I just feel like Paul Pierce needs more respect. Just me though.
Same here he's in my top 10. But I forgot how good kidd in this decade.
I feel like his legacy has suffered because of some of the dumb stuff he's said recently lol
He’s good but like he said he talks to much like he’s Dwade or someone
He needs his mouth super glued and be the man in the iron mask.
This outro is going to be iconic one day
Honourable mention Chris Paul
not really. maybe top 20. he only was very good for 2-3 years in the 2000s.
@@kingdinodragonite3470 I mean hw probably should've won the MVP in 2008
Chris Paul didn’t play enough years in the 00’s

Love how Ben Wallace won 4 DPOY during that decade and isnt even ON THE LIST. TRAVESTY. Wallace should be number 10 atleast
Wow!! Is this true!!????!!! He won 4 DPOY awards in the 2000's??? I knew Ben Wallace was a beast on defense getting rebounds and blocking shots and was an NBA champion in 2004 being a huge reason why that Detroit Piston team won a title that year beating those Shaq and Kobe led Lakers. But....i never knew that Big Ben won 4 of those awards. He should be mentioned. That is an amazing accomplishment!

Man Kobe wasnt a side kick to Shaq during their 3 peat title run in 2000, 2001, and 2002....he was a full blown co partner helping the Lakers to win in big moments. Without Kobe during that time the Lakers dont win those first 3 titles. But it goes both ways with Shaq. Also i feel Kobe was robbed of a couple NBA regular season MVP awards during the 2000's. Dam shame. The Black Mamba....man!!! He was a killer!!! Won 5 NBA Titles and got his teams to 7 of them. Had his body not begun to break down on him late down the stretch of the 2013 season i feel Kobe had a good shot at competing for a 6th or 7th NBA Title! He just needed a few more years of health! But respect to Kobe Bean Bryant. Just like MJ said Kobe left everything he had on that basketball court. 60 points in his last NBA game putting his whole team on his back for a come from behind win!!!! Kobe looked like he could hardly breathe and was about to collapse on that court but he still kept coming because he knew all eyes were on him for his last game and all his family and friends and ex teammates were there to say goodbye. That is truly someone who thrived off of pressure and rose to the occasion at the highest stage. Thank you Mr Kobe Bryant. For all the great memories. Rest in Paradise young man!!!

Duncan had a unique style of play. He's usually underestimated. Kobe on the other hand was flamboyant. Duncan is the only player to have won MVP in 3 decades. That's phenomenal
Duncan only won mvp in the 2000’s. He also only won fmvp in two decades, which Kobe also did.
Duncan only won mvp in 1 decade. If you mean rings, Horry and John Salley also did that, so he’s not the only one.
Just a thought, all decade teams are based on the understanding that the year starts at 0. Obviously, it favors players who just entered their primes at 2000 and severely impacts players who got drafted mid2000s or is already declining. Makes me wonder that the best players could better be categorized by "before and after" specific rule changes, rather than by decade.

Do top rookies to ever win a championship
I always scratch my head when, in the same breath, fans say Kobe had no talent after Shaq left, and then praise Lamar Odom for his role in 09 and 10. Like, he had Odom AND Caron Butler and couldn't do anything. Fact of the matter is he was not ready. Similar to Iverson. Everyone knows Iverson played with a trash heap most of his career, but the truth is he either couldn't or wouldn't play nicely with other good players. He literally chased every other star or potential star out of Philly. From Stackhouse, to Van Horn, to Big Dog Robinson. Difference between him and Kobe, Kobe eventually figured it out as he matured. Iverson never really grew up .
And when he DID have help, in Denver, they couldn’t push through. Those teams had some really good talent around Carmelo and AI.
@@andrewarnold9751 I agree 100%, that's when I realized Melo was going to be a career loser. He was not quite as bad as Iverson, but he's another one who never figured out that scoring 30 a game on poor efficiency doesn't get you anywhere.
I absolutely love the nonsensical argument people make "Duncan had Pop, never faced adversity but Kobe did" Kobe had Shaq (a player better than him, which Duncan never did), Phil Jackson, and almost all the "adversity" he faced was self-inflicted. So Duncan gets minus points for being stable and a better leader and having more poise and less ego.
He is clearly biased, Kope had the best luck in the 2000s really except when he self sabotages his team. In the late 2000s he had 3 double double players in the same team in an era where defense and rebounding mattered above all else, i mean Odom was a bench player for crying out loud... 😵😵

Kobe was the best player for a stretch of 2 to maybe 3 seasons between 08-10. 05 - 07 Kobe was a Top 10 player look it up where Kobe was ranked, but it's your eye test and opinion. 2000 he was a Top 10 player. There were a plethora of all star to super starplayers still at Kobe's level around that time.
2001 - 2004 he was consistantly a Top 5 player
ehh, 2008 is when lebron became the best player in the league imo. He won mvp 08-09 and 09-10 and straight carried those awful cav teams. I know kobe went back to back around that time but he had much better teammates, replace bron with kobe on those laker teams and he is also winning those 2 rings.

Yeah steve nash overrated because of the mvp but in reality he not even a superstar plays no defense and 4th scoring option on the team
Steve not even better than chris paul in the 2000s
