Thank you, I didn't know that. I'm so accustomed to modern lenses, and that everyone has chromatic aberrations to a greater or lesser extent, that this lens really surprised me.
I don't think I'm famous enough to influence prices. By the way, I found an analogue that is cheaper, lighter, and newer: Rubinar 1000mm f10. But, as I've read, each lens differs in image quality from each other. So, it depends on your luck.
I tried a 500mm version on my mft camera. My city has a tower with observation deck you can go up. It would be fun on a clear day to get up there and do some drone style shots with a super tele like this
I waited for the moon for 1.5 weeks, but unfortunately, I didn't get to see it due to the clouds, and I had to return the lens. Very disappointed. With an MFT camera the zoom will be insane, I think with a 1000mm lens+ you don’t even need zoom rings.
The lens actually has decent quality if you get the focus correctly. I think modern lenses are still better, especially G master. But if you compare the prices between them and the quality, the question will become more complicated😅
If you meant for the L mount, here is the link. It seems even cheaper now. shorturl.at/hmnBV Also, order Extension tubes/Macro rings right away; I bought mine from a local store, so I can't provide a link.
With modern lenses, I think it won't compare in terms of sharpness. Although photographer friends couldn't notice the difference with an expensive lens, they said it looks like it was shot with a $4500+ lens. When I showed them what it was taken with, they were very surprised.
@@GEXAR my first decent camera, before I went professional was a Praktika L, 42mm thread, and I had a Soligor 500mm mirror lens, OK it would rate in the sharpness league but I loved the doughnuts in the background.
@@blisteringbooks2428 Interesting story. I was born when the M42 was already a vintage mount. For me, now it was the lens with the longest focal length that I had. Now I want to buy the same one, but more modern.
What an interesting Lens wow. Very cool Video
Thanks dude!
Just as a note, low chromatic aberration is due to the fact that it's a mirror lens. They are not prone to have CA issues.

what are other types of lens ?? like as u said this one is mirror lens
It is basically a 4-inch Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope, which is originated in Russia
I found a photo on the Internet, it looks very similar, as if an M42 mount was simply added to it
so cool Gexar! I think the prices are going up on EBay as a result of this video 😂

@@GEXAR yeah, you kind of roll the dice with any vintage lenses I think…Thanks for the tip on the Rubinar!

damm it looks sharp!! i'm regular user of 200-600mm Sony G and I can see the difference.

I am not sure how sharp it is likely to be, but the bokeh should be great.

Man I miss Tallinn
You are the first person on the channel who recognized the country, especially the city 🙂
