    at 5:37 MAKE SURE YOUR CUE SOURCE ARE SET TO CUE 1, CUE 2, ETC! Sorry! Mine is set up for a headphone preamp, but if you are monitoring from the Headphone Jacks on the Apollo you need to set that correctly.

    THANK YOU, Bro! 🙏🙏🙏 One more question. Would Apollo Twin be enough for 2! Cue mixes (2 separate in in-ear mixes for two vocalists)??? Since we have only two mics and midi drum pad controller out of ableton.

    • @LucasMessore
      @LucasMessore  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes it is BUT you may have to run some stuff in mono. Hear me out you could do 2x vocals in. Run backing tracks out from Mon L in mono. Run Vocals 1 out Mon R and Vocals 2 out Line out 3. and then for cue mixes use the headphone jack for vocals 1 ears, and line out 4 for vocals 2 ears. You just probably might want to get a headphone amplifier to convert the line level signal and control headphone volume. This is the most efficient way I can think of atm the only caveat is the FOH will be getting mono tracks and one of the performer's ears will be in mono but it's not the end of the world.

      @@LucasMessore Baaam! Thank you! Yep, the main answer in-ear monitoring for two people is possible))) We just give main LR to FOH all mixed in the box. It worked for us many times. We did it on Behringer before. And I just now realized that I can use me home studio UAD for LIVE perfomance. Yahoo)))

    Hey Man, great Work! Loads of info here! I Wonder how you managed to show the correct UAD CONSOLE Channel Names in Ableton. For some reason my Ableton always shows 1 / 2, 3 / 4 etc. And sometimes, without altering the UAD I/O it doesn't play on the same channel.

      Heyr, I've seem people's UAD console i/o matrix be completely out of wack. I would recommend going in and manually setting all those ins and outs both in console and ableton.

    Do I seet it right, that on your vocal routing inside Ableton you don't route the signal correctly back to the Apollo, because Output is "Off"? Because when you turn it "Auto", you will have latency on your Vocals...

    • @LucasMessore
      @LucasMessore  6 месяцев назад +1

      If you run AT native you will have to have the track set to auto monitor otherwise you won't hear anything. For lowest latency set up check out my other video covering AT Realtime X UAD version!

    • @kidkaleido
      @kidkaleido 6 месяцев назад

      @@LucasMessore Yeah I see. I run AT with Apollo. But then I don't understand why I should route the vocal signal through Ableton at all. Or is it just in case you HAVE TO do it because you only have AT for Ableton?

    • @LucasMessore
      @LucasMessore  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@kidkaleido If you have UAD Auto-Tune Realtime, don't run it through Ableton! Just use ableton to playback tracks.

    So when I try to monitoring within Ableton using Autotune with as low buffer size as possible, and record my tracks in to listen back, I can tell there is enough latency that it doesn't sound right. I've seen lots of people using ableton monitoring for their live sets, so I'm trying to figure out why I can't seem get my audio to sit right.

    • @LucasMessore

      did you make sure low latencty monitoring in the options menu is enabled?

    • @fortune9503
      @fortune9503 Год назад

      currently having the same issue, and yes low latency mode is enabled on my end. it’s just enough latency for the vocal to fall off beat, which is almost impossible to tell without recording and listening back. i’ve tried 32, 64, & 128 buffer size, all results are off beat

    • @LucasMessore
      @LucasMessore  Год назад

      Is the latency an issue if autotune is completely gone / all plugins are totally removed from your session? What is your roundtrip latency on your system?

    • @sarmadahmad9021
      @sarmadahmad9021 Год назад

      @@LucasMessore Yup! Have this on. And like fortune below mentioned, I both hear it live and can visually see it when recording in. Its enough latency to fall off beat and also get screwed up when you hear yourself.
      Where can I measure roundtrip latency? I believe ableton was showing somewhere between 8-14 on overall latency in settings for me.

    • @castlecarousel
      @castlecarousel 7 месяцев назад +1

      Checking back on this - did you have the default delay/reverb sends turned on, even if nothing being sent to them? This will give latency where there should be none

    Hello, I have one question… If I use UAD Autotune, how can I automatize the tempo for delays and reverb? Because I will be running from the console. Thanks!

    • @LucasMessore
      @LucasMessore  2 месяца назад

      Good question. This is what I would do: keep your UAD autotune the same and mute in console. Create a vocal channel in Ableton and monitor there. You can then use any 3rd party or stock plugins you want for creative FX and automate them directly in Ableton. You can use them as sends/returns too if you are concerned about latency. Valhalla should have very minimal latency. Also another thing to consider: I usually have all Delay and Reverb throws in the Ableton live session as audio files imported from the original productions. That way I'm giving FOH a clean vocal and they can process as needed for the venue. But I totally understand in some situations you may not have a FOH or you might need total control over FX for creative reasons. Lastly if you need to automate console for whatever reason check out Radu Varga, he has an automation utility for console. Hope that helps! If you have any questions reach out through my website. Best, Lucas

      @@LucasMessore yes but if i leave in console and I monitor it in ableton, then it is going to sound double. And if i mute the console It's not going to be any use to have it on the console, right? Sorry for my English I’m Spanish…
