In a recent video, we mixed together ALL the HyperShift pearls. According to you guys, we made a mistake. When the Gold pearl went into the mix, it ruined everything. Today we run it back and do mix all the HyperShifts again, but take out the pearls you guys said messed up the end result. Let's see how it goes!

Personally, I thought the last one was pretty cool; different, yes, but still cool. This one is awesome! I love it and would love to put it on my 2012 Mustang GT.

I actually loved the first mix. That purplish bronze looked incredible on that body style with that window tint. It may not have been everybody's thing but it was in no way a failure.

Just like last time mixing them mutes the vibrantness of the hype shift colors but it also adds a lot more depth to the color.
its cause they don't clear coat. a high gloss clear coat would give you the vibrant-ness you're looking for because it becomes a reflective surface. Just like a candy apple paint job, gold base, transparent red on top, super depth of color, and it brings out that gold. It needs that clear coat and omg... dream machine

You can with plasti-dip.. it peels off.. prep surface and start again
Looks great. Now do all the reds and gold's to cover the opposite side of the color spectrum.

You tend to get gorgeous results when you mix either just cool or just warm colours.

It is absolutely stunning. That said, I reckon if you just mixed the first two colours that you put in the bucket that it would have looked damn near as good.

I think you nailed this one. The color blends highlight each other. The color shift from purple to blue is fantastic. Great job! It would get a lot of looks!
You made the right call, green is a core component in gold. In many art mediums you have to lay down a green base to get any decent gold hue, it definitely would have fought with the purple and killed the mix
The only way to describe this color would be “oil slick”.
The only way to describe the paint job would be "orange peel". Don't get me wrong. I think the colors are awesome. But if it was my car, it'd need a hellacious amount of wet sanding before I'd be happy with it.

@@qumefox Bro, this is plastidip. It doesn't have or use clear coat. It has texture and that's part of it. If you want something like this of plastidip but high gloss you have to go with the DYC AutoFlex

@@karinaashmon Sure they do. They require it in the event your license plate is pulled for an APB, if they call out the registration as say a "Green 2004 Nissan" they will stop cars that meet that description, not just every "2004 Nissan" with no color info.
@@TheFishE77Official They pulled over a mini van a couple weeks ago of a lady that had the same plate number, but different state, as a motorcycle that was just reported stolen. Just sayin.

Hey Fonzie, have you ever thought about combining a glow in the dark pigment into a dip? I think that would look incredible if it worked properly!
Glow in the dark is not a good idea. First you need to hit the spray lines on point, because every gap/overlay will be visible at night. Then you will get cloudy parts, first visible at night. And last but not least, this won't last for long. I think.

That would look so buzzy at night but at the same time would look amazing. Would love to see it if it's possible

@@g_therichest3396 yeah he did it. But at what cost and with how much effort? Thats what did I say? You need to be super focused, need to hit all the spots, no clouds and so on, and what did he? Poured layer after layer, added extra pigments to get it done. I dont call this a "normal" paintjob. And I never sai, it cant be done, I said, its fucking hard to get a decent finish.
Would love to see one with just teal, aqua marine, and blues. Without purple! Loved this result though.

What if you took all those same Hypershift colors and instead of mixing them, you sprayed each one as there own coat on the same car? Would you see them all or would you only see the last Hypershift colors sprayed?
maybe with fractional use of color quantities...if 6 colors then 1/6th bag each?

You would have to buy all of those colors in either 5 gram ($37 US) or 25 gram ($185 US) and mix it in. 7 packets - so minimum spend is $259 which is pretty reasonable. I don't believe the 25 gram of each packet would be necessary, since 25 gram is for an entire paint job. With 7 packets at 5 grams you're at 35 grams, so already more hypershift than a normal spray.

Goddamn this color would look even more amazing with that autoflex clear on top for that sweet showroom like finish. But removing that gold and red from last time was the best idea evar. No more rootbeer muddy brown. Lol.
I like both mixes a lot actually. The first had a rose gold feel which I enjoyed a lot and who can resist blue green and purple mixed.
I've been watching a lot (and I mean A LOT) of painting videos. I have to say that I really admire how you handle that spray gun. It is clear that you are good at what you do. Those paint jobs are coming out very nice. Many other painters are not as consistent with their technique and it shows up in the finished product. Thanks for posting. Keep doing what you're doing.

I was 100% thinking it needs a high gloss coat too! I often think that with these videos though, so must be to do with the way the product dries.

My Aunt has a Mystique Cobra from the first Year Mystique was released. It's pretty damn close, but it's missing a couple Colours.
I think this needs to be a released color. I have an MGB I'd love this on.
Way better than the last. You still get all the colors including the bronze and red purple. But the colors are way more vibrant and not grayed out. Beautiful work.
OKAY OMG THIS IS THE PERFECT GALAXY HYPERSHIFT COLOR! I just watched the first "mix all the hypershifts" video right before this video. The first attempt looked like Alien Metal and this looks like the most epic Galaxy/Outer Space effect! And once again, I'm stoked y'all put it on a Mustang!

It isn’t mystichrome. It’s missing something. Still looks good though. (Kinda like it better than my 96 mystichrome cobra)

Same we've seen so many blue/green colorshifts on this channel before but very few that are in the purple, magenta, red, oragne, yellow/gold range.
I need this. My jaw has hit the ground and I can't pick it up, beautiful is a vast understatement. Love it!

i have to say that you got a wild finish on that mustang. i don't know if it is for everyone, but i think i would feel great driving down the road in my ride if it looked like that, especially knowing that there is no other car on the planet that had that custom color(s). i am probably a year away from taking the plunge and giving my car some kind of tasteful, yet over the top, metal flake/candy paint. i'll be doing it myself and it will be my first time painting a car, so i am spending lots and lots of time doing research, and i will be doing a bunch of test projects before i try it for real. youtube videos like the ones you do are my inspiration.

Quality work, as usual. The blue-purple shift was expected and looks great. Certain angles give a kind of burnt orange, which was surprising. I'd rate 4/5.

For the previous video with the mix. I've seen something similar for nail polish videos where they mix all the colors together. The end product is a sort of mauve/Dusty Rose color. When you mix similar colors, you'll get a pearl sort of look. Reds and pinks don't do so well, but blacks, blues, purples, and greens do really well in mixes for polishes. I didn't doubt something similar would happen with this.

I painted cars for 40 years. I am retired now, but some how I do find myself in a spray booth now and then. I was painting custom cars when Candy paints were introduced. A company called Metalflake inc Candy Apple acrylic lacquer was the first candy apple seller on the market. They sold there paints already reduced stir it, and spray strait from the can it got very expensive. But they were the only one on the market that made the Candy Apple colors. Then a few years later came House of Colors. They broke out with a line of the best acrylic lacquer candy colors, and you were able to reduce your own paint. K-1 Brandy Wine was the most beautiful red I ever seen. To make a long story short I have nothing against matt color cars, but you cannot see the true colors on a matt than a color with a high gloss clear coat on it preferably color sanded and rubbed, polished to it's glossiest potential. It is kind of like looking at something through a microscope. You see colors that you never would see in a matt. That Mustang in my opinion would look 100% better with a high gloss coat on it. It would make the pearl pop, like never before. The first time I painted a pearl was about 35 years ago, a company called Murano Co. I used there blue pearl and at the time the only clear that was available in acrylic enamel was a yellow mixing clear. It had a blue/purple and a yellow cast, and it shined and everyone loved it. I really like these new Hypershifts pearls I would love to experiment with them, but my pockets are not that deep, but one thing is for sure, the finish product would have the highest gloss to show the highest potential colors. A pearl will pop 100% better with a high gloss.

Yes I like the titanium look for this car, keep up the great work. I also loved the holographic flacks with the pearl coats. I also liked the Hypershift green and red.

I loved the first one, but this one is so deep. Wish there was something with more lines..like an old Pontiac LeMans.. like a 74, or an 80's model Lamborghini....hell, it's a cool group of colors for anything!!! It makes that mustang LOOK fast. It's a win.

Every time I watch one of your "mix everything together" videos, it just comes out as an average of all of the colors. Anything special about one pearl is lost when you mix in all of them. I think it's time to stop :/

Turned out fantastic. I like the gold and red shifts. I think this is what you should have sprayed over the burple car.
This definitely looks better than the first one. I really like the seafoam blue shade that is in this one. It'd be cool if the whole car was in that color without any of the purples.

It almost looks like the color shift paint Ford used on the Mustang in the 90's. They were super protective of it too, if you need to have body work done someone from Ford brought the paint in person and then left with any unused paint when the job was done.
It's like the sheen on an oil puddle, beautiful and dangerous all in one. LOVE IT 😍
