Well. Since the original key fob still inside the car. Can someone break into the car and just push the start button and take off?
alilazmo I would imagine the box that contains the original fob will only send power to the battery when sent from the new key fob.. however if someone broke in, opened the box and inserted a normal battery, they would be able to start the car.

This was my exact first thought when he put the key fob in the box...then proceeded to put the box in the car lol.

@@1lattibeaudiere totally agree with you. You just have to be a little brave and be ready for some unexpected stuff to happen. Just don’t be too harsh to yourself not everything can be done with one touch. And remember measuring 7 times cut once.

Do you do this install for potential customers? I bought a used F30 and it only came with 1 key. Is it possible to code another key for my car? I live in NJ and would love to bring my car over to your garage
All you have to do is buy a new key and they hold it to the steering wheel stock and it will be coded automatically

The standard keys generally have a transponder in them that prevent the car from starting if its unlocked and the key isn't present 🤔 considering this mod requires the actual key to constantly be inside the car does this mod still prevent it from being started via the start stop button inside the car without the newer touch screen key being present?🤔 I know it started via the remote but even the cars that come with that particular feature still have that preventative measure in place to prevent someone from starting the car without either using the key command or the key being inside the vehicle if someone tries to jack it 🤔 just curious as to whether this poses that risk or if it still has some measure in place via all that spaghetti of wiring😅

If my old key fob is essentially in the car technically anyone can open and start my car if it’s unlocked? With the push start? Also my BMW does not have an alarm. How will the function of that start working?
Nope, nobody will not be able to start your car, because this key also have imobilaiser what block original key without this one.

Once the car is started remotely, what do you do next to drive away? On my old Jeep I had to put the key in the ignition and twist forward without placing my foot on the brake. This has comfort access, so what’s the next step? Does it not need a key anymore?
Keyless Go has been around for years.
Keyless Go has been around since AT LEAST 2015.
Kies, the remote keyfob seems to have some lag in the UI.
The OEM BMW ones do too. Not a very slick piece of equipment

i got the new 2020 bmw 330i xdrive.. the car is absolutely beautiful but the only thing pissing me off is there is no keyless entry. i cant belive how much this car cost and it has no keyless entry.. is there anything i can do to add this to my car plug and play sort of thing ??>?
