And then when he actually _did_ score later everyone forgot that the extra vortex was 10 and he should've got 30-22=8 and not 30-16=14
They also played the, "set aside after each roll card" wrong, you can set aside multiple dice, as the rule wording is "set aside at least one" so can be more than one

Vortex was op on one round as being -10 and a even number it would be substracted becoming +10

@@Fantoccio299 one round they said it was a -10, in the same round even numbers were to be substrates to get the final score. Since -10 is even once you substract -10 it becomes +10

I would like to remind Sully he was actually The Bride in Cosmic Encounter.
6:22 Sullivan actually kept the 4, not the swirl, the smarter play, which makes his math in scoring correct. 30 for 3 swirls - (5 + 5 + 4 + 2) is 30 - 16 = 14. Not bad, but that Triple swirl and triple 1s could have been 29, which is pretty big.
38:00 but technically since the swirl meant -10 wouldn't the - subtract with the minus from the operation and become a +10?

@@oneoftheboyz1538 That's true, but they also added stuff up wrong constantly in the episode. I googled the game and read the rule book. A red background means bad for the situation. A negative value has a minus sign in front of it.

42:24 Miscounted the points, should've been 2 more points to Tilly! Thankfully it didn't change the scoring
56:04 as well, Sully should've got 3 more points! This one luckily also made no difference to the score

54:00 this score was also miscounted. They say 17 but it was 19 and would have been bumped back to 18 instead
I’m pretty sure at 39:25 they gave Sully two more points than he should have as well, meaning Laurie would have earned his 27 and stayed there
56:04 wasn't miscounted but it was shown on the screen wrong. When they award Sully the 24 points you can see that there is a 2 instead of a 3 in the dice tray. :)

Ken is possibly the most underrated group member
I first watched Ken on an episode of blood on the clock tower. And I thought he was a bit chaotic on his first play of the game but after he tried his best to make his team win. I've grown to love the just right amount of chaotic spice Ken brings to NRB.
I don't think he's underrated at all. Seems to be plenty popular with fans.
That last round was horrible math 😂 almost everyone's scores were wrong 😂😂

is it just me, or were their maths off on this game? there were 3 times when i counted different scores :/
Watching the shoddy maths work in this one was *genuinely* painful. So many times they undercounted the actual score

Its not all shoddy maths... several times the dice shown on screen dont actually match the dice rolled. ie: when Sullivan won the last round, on screen it showed one 1, two 3's, two 5's and two vortexes... but if u watch when they show the dice tray, one of those 3's is actually a 2... meaning their maths at the table were correct, it was what we are shown on the screen that is wrong.

The graphics were more the issue. They corrected every actual math issue that I saw them make based on what was in the tray. At the end of the day, none of the math matters if they don’t care enough to double check anyway 😂

For the longest time I have felt like I was the only one who remembered Sharky and George, then I found NRB where Laurie keeps referencing it. A more iconic duo has surely never existed.

I love that on the first score of the game, they immediately give Sully a 14 instead of his actual score of 8. Gotta be a handicap for poor Sullibobs

On the graphics on Sullivan's first roll it have 30 - 22 when so it had a extra swirl that should be the 4 he kept instead. THERE IS A VORTOX!!!

Sully's very first round.. He had a trio of swirls and 1s, but they subtracted the ones from his score, saying it would be worth 23, when in reality it would have been 29 (30 for the swirls, 3 for the 1s, minus 4 for the lone one)

You want the swirly when it's -10 because subtracting it adds 10 to your score. So keep those swirls.

Donut holes are things that are sold here in the states! It's basically the same "stuff" as a doughnut, but it's just a tiny circle.
36:02 wouldn't vortexes be good here? Because -10 is not odd so it will be subtracted, and subtracting -10 means 10 more points
This is why the value of the vortex wasn't (-10), it was 10 colored red. This means that you subtract (+10)
That minus 10 vortex is really powerful as - -10 odds it instead
That ending was lovely
Looks like a fun game, and great energy from the cast as usual, but the developers really could have splashed out a bit more on the A5-sized board game track 😆
The box is small and the same size as some of their other games, keeping in their "standard" box is smart, so unless they make the board foldable, this is a reasonable size for it. And for a home table or a bar table (because this game is very travel friendly) the small board is fine, it's just not as well sized for NRB and their professional space.
I put the dice and cards in a baggie and the board fits in my coat pocket to take to the pub. I think it is a great travel size.

This is a easy, fun looking game to play! And its been a while since we had a little remix added into the end of the episode!
Wait, in the one where the vortox was negative, wouldn't that mean that minus that is +10 points?
Like, let's say you roll v 5 3 2 v 4 1, wouldn't that be 5 + 3 + 2 - (-10 + 2 + -10 + 4) = 10 - (-14) = 24?
The rules specify that scenario, if the background colour is red it ALWAYS costs you the points, even if you're subtracting it.
So in your scenario it would be
5 + 3 + 1 -10 - 2 - 10 - 4
Which is --17.
It wasn't -10, it was 10. It was red because 10, being even, was bad.

Yes, you can buy donut holes in the US. They're usually less expensive and you buy a box of them. They're just tiny donuts.

The first card Say that when You roll the dice You keep at least 1 dice if You wanna keep more it's legal it's not necessary roll every time and just keep one

Also, the "Keep one" re-roll rule says "keep _at least_ one" so you could keep more

I could be wrong, but on that second card, I would have assumed that the ice cube meant that any swirls rolled were worth zero AND locked in (can't re-roll).
