We have a Jolion Hev, I find it very comfortable and economical. 55 litre tank, I use E10, I usually fill up with 2 bars to empty, trip computer regularly indicates over 900 to empty. Only bugbear is the adaptive cruise. Approaching a bend on cruise it will slow dramatically, dropping over 10kph I find this dangerous as a vehicle behind would be unprepared. You can override it by gently pressing the accelerator pedal. I've read another owners report and it claimed that GWM have a patch that will remove this function. Other yhan that, it is an excellent vehicle, great features

Another fantastic review Paul, yes I took the plunge and bought one in NZ, overall a fantastic car.
Five weeks in and I'm getting 5.8l/100km so it looks promising.
The price differential is not as great in NZ as under current rules the petrol version attracts an additional tax of around $1500 while the hybrid gets a clean car rebate of just over $2k bringing the difference down to less than $4k so a bit more justifiable.
Coming from a five year old Toyota Corolla ZR my immediate reaction is that this is just so much easier to get into and out of, especially for older drivers who aren't quite as flexible as they once were.
I'm impressed and would definitely recommend these cars.

Thank you for the great review. I think it is a nice looking car among its peers where some could attract a love or hate reaction from customers in regard to their stylings. Speaking of lane keeping, why do you try to see if it passes the third lane? Is it that important? I think the car is trying to stay on the right (left) side of the road. By the way, are you likely to get hold of a Tank 500 for review in Australia? The Chinese market has reacted enthusiastically to it. It measures similarly to a Land Cruiser with a 3 litre turbo V6 under the bonnet.

I think the design is very stylish, interior feels good and the back seat space was surprisingly good for a small car. Disappointing Experience with Haval - Quality, Maintenance, and Battery Issues
I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with the Haval car I purchased, and I believe it is essential to share my experience for the benefit of potential buyers.
Parts Falling Off and Weird Noise in Tyres:
Over the past few months, my Haval has been plagued with multiple issues, including parts falling off the car and strange noises emanating from the tires. These concerns have not only compromised the safety of the vehicle but have also significantly diminished my driving experience.
    Battery Problems:
To exacerbate matters, I recently had to replace the car battery. For a vehicle that is just over a year old, this is an alarming issue. A new car should not encounter battery problems so early in its lifespan. I want to emphasize that I have diligently maintained my car, ensuring everything is turned off when not in use. Despite these precautions, the need for a new battery raises questions about the overall reliability and quality of the vehicle.
    Maintenance Challenges and Customer Expectations:
While I understand that wear and tear are inevitable, the frequency and severity of these issues for a relatively new car are unacceptable. I expected a new car to be a reliable and hassle-free investment, yet my experience suggests otherwise. The challenges I've faced in addressing these issues through maintenance checks and the lack of effective solutions from the dealership have added to my frustration.
    Customer Expectations and Brand Reputation:
I want to emphasize the importance of upholding customer expectations for a brand like Haval. Quality control and customer service are integral to maintaining a positive brand reputation. I hope my feedback serves as a call for a thorough review of manufacturing standards and an enhancement of customer support processes.
In conclusion, my ownership experience with Haval has been marred by consistent and unresolved issues. I hope that prospective buyers take this feedback into consideration, and I urge Haval to address these concerns promptly to restore confidence in the brand.

Julion Ultra fuel consumption: 8.1L/ 100km
Julion Ultra hybrid fuel consumption: 5L/ 100km
    Every 100km you save 3L = 3x $2 (petrol price) = $6
You pay $7000 extra for the hybrid
    7000 / 6 = 1166 × 100km = 116,000Km
That's an average of 6 years driving until you can balance out the extra cost.

In China, we use car computers to download APP, and use SIM card traffic to receive digital broadcasting. DAB was covered by 4G and 5G technologies before it developed in China. However, I believe that Chinese manufacturers will be able to add this feature soon. The cost is not high, but there is no demand for DAB in the Chinese market. Imagine who would listen to music on tape now.
