    My wife and I picked up our H6GT lux yesterday (13/11/23). We were looking at havals for a few months because we needed to upgrade from our 2015 Vitara and didn’t want to wait over a year for a Toyota.
    We got the end of year plate clearance sale, with the paint included and a bonus $1k off. So $38990 rather than the rrp at time of making this comment of $41485 for a non white vehicle.
    After adjusting the seat, I found it to be extremely comfortable and have no issues with the steering wheel.
    I have 3 kids, the eldest in a booster and the younger two in 0-4 seats (forward facing). I managed to install all three seats with no hassles, which was a nice change from the tiny car we had before.
    Now for the actual driving itself, I found the safety features made me stick to the speed limit more which isn’t a problem for me. Every time you nudge over the posted limit the car will beep once, and if you go 10km/h over a warning comes up on the dash. The lane keeping was helpful as well.
    Now for race mode. Fuck me it’s fun. My wife loves the sound and it’s hilarious how quickly the car takes off with it. I found it’s best used when you don’t have to turn at all and only for taking off rather than continual driving.

    I have driven the GT. It is amazing! So much so I have ordered one. The SUV is larger than a CX5 or RAV4. The amount of value included for the drive away price and 7 year warranty simply cannot be beaten. Full moonroof, autonomous parking etc. This gear box is fine, it only thuds forward in race mode, like N grin shift on the Hyundai N. The cameras are the best resolution and function. I have one complaint, the passenger seat doesn't go up or down. Haval will sell many GT's and I can't wait to get mine 👍. Good review Paul, great SUV Haval.

    I just got a H6 GT Ultra, all black. And I love it. For its price it's fantastic. Has great features, the gearbox and engine is more than fine for me and nicer than alot of others I've tested on the market - I'm not racing around a track or trying to 4WD through the bush, I do a bit of highway and city driving and I like it for that. Tonnes of room inside, super comfortable, beautiful interior, excellent features. Everyone who's seen this is absolutely shocked at how nice it is. In all black it looks really nice, love the coupe SUV look. Compared to other new cars around this price, this is fantastic. Added, my centre console does not wriggle like the one in this lol, and it's full auto parking, works great. Love all the USBs too. Also I noticed he didn't mention but it has the kick feature on the boot and also the boot floor can be lowered a bit to give more room. I've been finding normal mode is good around town, and sport on the highway. I do agree that I wish you could lift the front of the seat and wish the seat was a tiny bit longer but I guess there's always a downfall with every vehicle lol.

    I used to work for GWM ( Greatwall motors) the name plate Haval, was in use back when we had the ugly boxy greatwall X200 and X240, they were as cheap built as they were priced. GWM went through a significant change during 2015 with Haval being designed by a former European car designer rather than just continuing with the X series which was more like a generic boxy 4wd, the designer moved into a more sophisticated look, and better quality than the old X series. Price did go up but it was well worth it. My parents bought a H6 in 2017, I drove it many times, and found it such dream to drive, I know they absolutely love it, and considering prices In the same class with other brands, Haval really became a strong contender. This new model (2021-22) has lifted the bar yet again, with even more sophisticated tech and safety systems, plus more luxurious interior and exterior styling, have set the new Haval models, right up there with the big players like Mazda and Toyota.

      Everything you said doesn't matter one bit since the company is Chinese (owned by the Chinese government = communism, dictatorship, creator of the corona virus, Taiwan, no human rights etc).
      Sure, other companies buy stuff from China and puts them into their cars but the factory is often placed somewhere else and the company's profit doesn't go directly to China.
      Also, quality control no matter where the components are made isn't in China's hands.
      Buying a car made in China by a Chinese manufacturer is the worst idea ever.
      Can you even trust it?

    HAVAL is actually not the initial English name for this brand. When this name was initially (2005) introduced to the overseas market outside of China mainland, it was called "Hover". But as you'd expect, the word "Hover" was already registered in many countries and regions as trademarks. GWM had to improvise, and they settled on the name HAVAL. The correct Chinese characters for it are 哈弗 (hā fú), not 哈佛(hā fó) as described in another post here.

      I think the name of the car was called GWM as well and Hover was the name of the SUV model.

    • @ColdSplash
      @ColdSplash 2 года назад +4

      Hover was their second SUV. The first SUV was called 赛弗, which was a phonetic translation of the English word “Safe”. 哈弗 or “Hover” was their second SUV in the sub brand family. Back then, GWM even tried to coin a term CUV (city utility vehicle) for it. Initially, GWM didn’t have a plan to set up a new sub brand, but “Hover” was more successful than they anticipated. As a result, they decided to use the name “Hover” to set up the sub brand initially.

    For a "coupe" SUV it's a lot better designed than any of the high end brands which look like their backs have been kicked in the worst way possible.
    I do have to question their point in not having rear wipers on a hatch style opening, when it's a crucial part in taking off debris properly than relying on aerodynamics. Another point.. not having physical switches for controls that are often used.

    It looks promising. The exterior reminds me of the BMW X6 and the steering wheel looks to be inspired by Land Rover. I think the Chinese manufacturers need to work out some more elegant badging because the rear of that car is such a mess with the amount of badges on there. The Haval logos are way too big and obvious too. Many manufacturers now are toning it down with lettered badging.

    • @archechme
      @archechme 2 года назад

      @@wcrash9361 The new Range Rover has only "Range Rover" written across the tailgate. It has nothing else unlike the Haval which has Haval H6 GT 4WD GWM on the tailgate, that's 5 seperate badges.
      Manufacturers don't litter the back of their cars with badges because it makes them look busy and cluttered; like the Haval does and it is poorly designed with no special fonts. They just look like they have been bought from a car tuning place and glued on the back.
      The XC90 has smaller fonts. The Range Rover has only Range Rover written on the back. The Skoda Octavia for example has only "Skoda" and "Octavia" again in smaller lettering.

    The Haval H6 GT is a smart & sharp looking, modern & well composed suv coupe with some kick in the engine. Almost bought it straight after test drive?. But i needer a slightly larger family suv for day to day mainly city driving. So i ended up after much research & test drives, with the base model 2023 Hyundai Tucson 2L naturally aspirated petrol engine FWD, mated to 6 spd automatic transmission torque converter, for less than the Haval H6 GT, & pretty much everything else in the same medium suv category??. Comfortable, spacious & all the basic mods, camera, sensors, safety features etc. Beautiful smooth drivetrain, transmission & suspension. No sports car but moves around town & on the highway confidentally, unlaboured & responds to acceleration quite smoothly for it's size. The 2L runs on regular unleaded. Impressive leather steering wheel & wireless Apple carplay & phone charging in base model. Hyundai sales staff, service centres & after sale support is also very impressive. Credit to the South Korean Hyundai motor company 👏, well deserved. Very happy new Hyundai Tucson owner. I recommend the Haval H6 GT for the single man/woman, & the Hyundai Tucson for the family oriented. Thanks.
