This is footage from the 2010 Gander Boy's and Girl's Club annual demolition derby featuring the big car round. Skip to 9:06 for the start of the heat.
Out here in utah a half or full track shot these cars would be junk. We go until each end of the car is standing straight up or digging in the ground reason why guys from as far as Minnesota to california come to utah derbies for good payout and hard hitters here
#75 I think would be the toughest car there. Isn't it a Dodge Monaco or Plymouth wagon? Those are extremely well built. I think it was unibody on frame. Beasts.
+high roller420 Yeah my Rally Car is like that(Pretty much all race cars are), it has just 2 bucket racing seats, and a 150L gas tank instead of a back seat and that's it.
+Ben Crow It's actually a Republic of Newfoundland flag, extremely similar. But on a side note a good portion of Newfoundlanders are of Irish descent and that's probably how the flag came to be.
DemolitionMissions Hey how do you like the Really Bone stock derby's in NL Canada, in my opinion there awesome. By the way i watch your videos alot always keeps up to date on them got all of your videos watch keep up the good work buddy!
i actually derby i have a hobo car we have to move the gas to the back seat area n the battery to the passenger side in front n strip the whole car n vaccume the glass out
i could probably fit 12 cars in my back yard and have a derby too . i have a 50x 50 foot back yard ..who comes up with this glove box sized area to have a derby in ?! what is the point of having a derby if you can barely go 4 miles an hour ?
Tony two toes the reason is so that you don't hit as hard to reduce the chance of injury these cars are not safe at all they are just striped interior one drivers seat using the stock seatbelt if they are hitting each other at more than like 15mph it gets to be dangerous
checkout speedway miramichi derby videos 1/3 mile oval track which we do races on, paved x in middle for figure 8 race then all out demo. can get good hard hits there
Odd how they were using 80s-90s cars. Most derbies i see use late 60s-70s cars. Also, why do some have windshields? I thought derbies required cars to remove all the glass. It was funny how that one car had a siren on the back.
LOL You Americans think this is cool come to England and see how we do it, way harder impacts and a much bigger track, cars get squashed to half their length in one hit!!
the old cars are too cool to smash
JNJdestruction Its just a car, nor is it that they're going to get every single hearse ever and smash it up in a demo derby
I know but I would hate to think that one day rwd v8 cars with full frames will all be gone except at car shows
thats what car shows are for man
itube141 some people just don't get it!
These are mainly cars from junkyard that cannot be restored
Why on earth did they not remove the windshield?
How on Earth can you get so many hearses in Canada?
Rusted out
This is awsome action and demolition derbies are fun to go to and watch
Would have been 150 percent better if you weren't filming the back of someone's head!
I remember watching this when I was still in high school, I wanted the hearses to win, the hearses looked really cool
dam they musta had a used car lot full of " DEAD" hearses LOL LOL
I am watching from Elmira NY did that hearse win

Mindshields, headlights, opening doors, full trim? Got to be the least effort ive see put into these

I am surprised they run with a windshield , but then again I'm not a demoderby expert .
H
I didn't even notice, but you're right. I don't guess it's all that dangerous, but would make it hard to see if it got spiderwebbed.

Windshields don't smash the same way the rest of the windows do
Nice!
The car at the very start, is it waving an Irish flag cause I'm from there
+Ben Crow It's actually a Republic of Newfoundland flag, extremely similar. But on a side note a good portion of Newfoundlanders are of Irish descent and that's probably how the flag came to be.
Those hearses are just bigger targets out there.
This is the best ever!!!!!!!😀😁😂😎🎅👦
Didn't expect to see he doors not welded Shut. It poses a greater risk should the lock become damaged
small pit for all those cars.
this is cool
yes
Amazing! haha
Those hearses need to use the back more
I questioned that to, but apparently it is really hard reversing and not knowing where you're going.
235FireFly LMAO!!!

Dustin Tulk I love the bonestock derbies, it's a great way to learn how cars bend.
Hi my name is Cruz and I live in 1109
shaky cam BS
Só tem eu de brasileiro?
Sad I can't find a hearse for my business but a nice 90's fleetwood that would have fit the bill perfectly died in this event.....
A battle to the death
777 has nice wheels :D
Chrome spray painted steel wheels? Almost all the other cars had em just not krylon’d
OK it looks as if a bunch of these guys/gals don't do anything with the security of the doors. I have always had to at least have 4 wraps of #9 wire.
I got dizzy with all the camera moving back-and-forth. Next time,, sit further back!
Those poor Hearses.
I agree. Rest In Pieces!!
they were a beauty
Hey at least if you die you don't have to change cars...
i actually derby i have a hobo car we have to move the gas to the back seat area n the battery to the passenger side in front n strip the whole car n vaccume the glass out
Skip to 9.06
I'll give the 18 credit for the Kyle Busch scheme, that's a scheme I'd like to wreck anyday.
9 minutes of introduction?? ridiculous!!!

It was probably a Plastic Window.
Lucas Covitz theres not many 60s or 70s tanks left. especially after cash for clunkers
old cars rare to find. also you can keep windsheild because it dosnt explode in a million pieces.
Hearses
This is an abomination. Wrecking hearses like this. May you get it as you give it.
me
Those cars sponsored by funeral homes somehow disgust me....
only Canadians bring a hurse to a derby
9 minutes of introductions for some crappy shots on the demo. ill pass.
первые 9 минут нехер даже смотреть
mickey mouse derby👎
That just down right sucked!!!! I'd rather watch the import cars waste of time
