It tastes like blue!! Sadly true, but at least the colour's lovely. That Juan Ho Royale looks especially spectacular, but you can't beat a great Corn and Oil!
I love this book ❤️ I might get to meet Martin Cate when I go to Tiki Lon in Portland at the end of the month. I did a falernum recipe from Liquid Vacation. Crazy amount of ingredients😯
Go brother go. My lazy butt hasn't made a single recipe from that book and I have had it for three months. Keep picking the goodies and show us the way..lol I really do need to sit down and read that thing and get some ingredients and go...
@@RobsHomeBar lol....I don't feel so bad. I have yard work this weekend to knock out but by Sunday I should have a pile of of goodies to try and make. Hey, I'm camping next weekend...... What is a good weekend mixer for something different? Any idea's. Just need something other than a Mai Thai. I have about wore that drink out.
Nice video, Rob! I'm intrigued by the Juan Ho Royale. I would have never thought of that combo of ingredients. And the final drink is so pretty! You mention that the blue curacao that you're adding doesn't add a lot of flavor. I'm thinking that I may try this with PF Dry Curacao plus a drop of blue food coloring.
Thanks Rob, great selection of diverse Falernum cocktails. Also, got a laugh when the shaker wouldn't break free, happens to me very often. I think I pound the glass down too hard.
Terrific vid, Rob & agree with all the praise for SC, such a great book / resource! Plantation 3* is great and has been my go-to blanco, but I recently got some Foursquare Probitas and man am I loving it... really good, a bit more complex and not super expensive (I'm in NYC). Re: blue curaçao, since a lot of it seems dodgy, on the rare occasion I need it, I use a clear quality orange liqueur (unfort my faves PF Dry & Clement Creole Shrubb are orangey, so I usually just grab the Cointreau) and a drop of blue food coloring and call it a day. May be heresy but works for me. Last did that in an Aquadisiac (standard Beachbum Berry specs), another blue tiki concoction I highly recommend!
Nice! Cointreau plus blue colouring would def be better than most blue curaçaos … I made my own green curaçao last year with a split base of vodka and gin and infused for 1 week with lots of orange peels.. it’s pretty good!
Oooaahhh.. I gotta try the Merciless Virgin! And why can’t I make the Hamilton purchase? What wrong w/me! I have Had the recipe for the Juan Ho Royale for about a month now! Lol, gotta make it! You’ve inspired me my friend! Cheers!
Rob! As someone who mostly lives in that tiki world, I thought I would know all three falernum cocktails, since it's something I use constantly-- and yet, I should have known with your wide expertise that you would showcase three very different cocktails, of which I only knew one. These are really amazing, and also fascinating to know about the Falernum + Tequila combo, that is something I'll need to explore more! Another great episode on your great channel, love the "1 2 3" graphics too! Cheers!
Thanks for the terrific video Rob!! These looks like amazing cocktails. I'd rate these the same way. I have never had an corn and oil and it looks wonderful. I am now enjoying this lovely book. It is packed with great information and tiki cocktails. That mix of tequila and falernum looks so delicious. I can't wait to give these a try. Cheers!! :-)
Hi Robb! Awesome video new subscriber here.... How do you make the labels for your homemade drinks? And also my 1st video I watched was the Margarita triple sec comparison. How do you make your Robb bar menu? What software are you using. I'd love to make my own menu and labels for premixes like you do. Maybe a video on that?

It is really good, despite the crappy curaçao 🤪
ROB!!!! All of these look great!!! Since my "Conversation", I've def embraced the Rum/Falernum combo. I'm def going in!!! CHEERS!!!!
Corn and Oil!!! It'll be your new best friend! Tiki meets Old fashioned
Tim’s defo jumpin right in! 🙌🏼
@@TheHomeBartenderwithAnn 2 rums, 1 Corn and Oil?????

My fav cocktail book by far! Not just because it’s tiki, but I just love the way it’s organized and the fun historical facts, etc.. just a great book!
Good timing for this. I am hopefully picking up a bottle of Falernum on Saturday. So I need a couple of drinks to make. Cheers!
Nice!! It's sooo good!
Oh these all sounding great!
So good!!
Oohhh I could see a good weekend with these 😊😉👍
One of each, please.
I do make a lot of Corn N' Oil riffs for myself. Easy & Fast!
It's officially my fav summer drink when i dont want something too sugary
Try it with The Real McCoy white with Lemon Hart 151, (I saw you just picked up some).
A favorite of mine.
Great stuff Rob. Really digging all these tiki video! 🍹
I'm having fun making them and drinking them! haha... I'm slowly working my way thorugh the Smuggler's Cove book!

I’ve had it for 2 years and only recently started making drinks from it 🤣

That could definitely work!
Three great looking drinks and definitely agree with you about the crushed ice with the corn 'n oil. Essential!

I actually shattered a glass slapping it too hard the other day 🤦♂️ …it did have a chip in it though, maybe I shouldn’t have been using it anymore
@@RobsHomeBar Damn. Hope your hand didn't get cut too.
@@greyhairedsnake9427 i was lucky.. but when I smack the shaker, I hit the tin part so I never really have contact with the glass
