How to Make Falernum - HOMEMADE FALERNUM LIQUEUR, I will show you How to Make Your Own Falernum at Home. Falernum is a Caribbean liqueur (or syrup) made from rum, limes, allspice, cloves, almonds and ginger. It is used in many tiki drinks. It is a staple tropical drinks ingredients.
The issue with lots of homemade Farlernum is that it doesn't last very long. The typical shelf life is 2 weeks which sucks because it takes almost 1 week to make!
THIS recipe is a SHELF STABLE FALERNUM LIQUEUR that should last 9-12 months! Now that's worth it! I can't take credit however, this recipe is adapted from this blog:

Homemade Falernum Recipe:
10 Whole Cloves
6 Allspice Berries
2/3 cup (160ml) Overproof Rum
2/3 cup (160ml) SemiRich Syrup (1.5:1)
1/2 cup (120ml) Lime Cordial
1/3 cup (80ml) Ginger Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
1/2 teaspoon Citric Acid Powder
Semi Rich Syrup Recipe
1.5 parts Sugar
1 part Water
Rum Swizzle Cocktail
2 oz Dark Rum (I used Havana Club 7yr)
3/4 oz Homemade Falernum Liqueur
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Demerara Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
