I love to watch your shows. I watch them over and over. When your at the tent you eat good it looks like. When your kids are up there with you make them help you out. Don’t you do all the work. Listen to an old grandma that knows. Hope you and Zach get a deer and a big fish when your ice fishing. Good luck. A loyal subscriber.

Thank you for the videos. I vicariously live through your videos to reminisce my youth with my grandfather. You have a simple approach, for an otherwise simple experience, but make it rich with the 'experience' of sharing your experiences and your family's experience on video. My job and my location don't allow me to do the things I did in my youth, but I feel like I've experienced it watching you.

It is rare that I stay with a video that is this long, but I have watched so many of these from start to end and enjoy them so much. I love the care in cleaning up and how well things are taken care of, but most of all, the eating is always A+. Nice job again guys. Happy New Year.

As usual, love it. Nothing like a weekend in the North Woods, especially as the seasons change to cold and you can enjoy the warmth of a wood stove.
It's funny how the labors of maintaining a place only used as a getaway are so less taxing than the same chores at home.
Also amazing is how people seem to collect stuff. A few yrs ago, the shelves were bare when you shut down deer camp. This yr you had enough dry goods left to supply a dozen weekend trips and it hardly looked like you brought anything home.

Joe, I stumbled upon this video series last week and have to tell you I love it. My husband worked for the U.S. Forest Service and his first job when he came home from Vietnam was in Cook, Mn. Both of his kids (my stepdaughters) were born in Virginia (Iron Rangers!). He eventually moved to Vermont (Green Mountains) and served his last 35 years there. He saved calendars from the 70's that were made in Cloquet by a match company based there. They feature Canadian Mounties painted by a well known artist, and he has many of them. If you would like them, drop me a line and I will send them to you. I would love to see them on your tent walls. He loved Mn and his time there. He is no longer with us, but my love and memory of him lives on. Peace.

I admire your energy for just the lifestyle preparation alone and when you add in the RUclips production i imagine it is even much harder work. Just setting up the shots is double the effort of doing the tasks. Set the camera, walk out the door, come back in shut off the camera set it up on the deck, get in the truck, drive off, drive back get the camera, edit out all the coming back... is that how it goes???

You could sure use tires with Microbit technology; what they mean is that they put walnut shells into the softer rubber. I call them 'walnut tires. The Toyo "Observe" brand of tires have walnut bits, as well as Nitto makes a walnut tire. I highly recommend them for winter driving; you don't have to stop and put on chains and take them off.
