Hello Joe, I love how you still look after your kids though they are adults. Making sure they have what they need. I guess we never stop taking care of them even when they are older.
Tell your dad that we think he's awesome. Still going to his cabin as often as he can is so great. Hunting & working his property will keep him forever young. We love everything about the woodworking in his cabin & LOVE that stove your folks have.
we love your videos Joe .you have a beautiful family .it doesn't matter if you shoot a deer .the time you get to spend with your children is priceless .your a great dad .you all get along so well .God bless you all.
A LONG COMMENT..I have been waiting for the 2018 Deer Season Movie.. Joe I really enjoy your videos. They family time the conversation. Well I'm 56 year old woman who really misses her DADDY. After 12 years it hurts so bad... I had a wonderful FATHER I was the apple of his eye.. He was a hunter & I use to go with him when I was around 7 is when it began.. I married at 18.. After 38 years of marriage my husband never has hunted. But thru your videos I get to go fishing & hunting.. Thank the family for sharing this. I know you children will enjoy these videos for their lifetime.. GOD BLESS
Thank you for the nice comment Julie. You are still young, you need to at least go fishing lol. Thank you again and stay tuned for the second weekend Tent video that I will get edited later this week. Big weather changes and a change in hunting luck : )
Joe, I've been wanting to tell you this for a while so here goes. Your videos are so amazing to watch, and so darn relaxing. What I'm trying to say here is you inspired me to buy my own piece of property 200 ft from the lake and across the street is 55,000 acres to hunt on. We finally just closed on the land last week and we now own it! I'm not getting any younger and I'm going to spend my first deer season on it. God willing next season. I want to thank you for these inspiring video you have made for all of us, you and your awesome videos have changed my family's history to one that will now include our own piece of heaven! Thank you very much for that and keep the videos coming.
Really good. The daily routine, the familiar meals, the spaces we know so well, but most of all you. Three generations of nice people getting on with happy family days at The Tent.
Love Love Love to watch tent videos and its just an added bonus when your terrific kids are on fhem too! Your a blessed man. Thanks for sharing with us all.
I could not WAIT for this video to come out. Since everyone is saying what I had in mind, let me just say this: One thing I appreciate about your vids is that your narration is always just the right amount: no political rants, no philosophizing, no trying to impose your beliefs on the world. You just do what you love, and we learn a lot just by watching you do that. You keep it moving, such a perfect blend of action and relaxing scenery and food prep. I love to see how the whole deer camp evolves as you drive up, stop at the Super One, then unpack and go through the daily routines. Thanks for staying true to your vision. You are a genius at capturing all these moments of life in just the right proportions and making it so addictive for us all to watch. Thanks, Joe, for sharing it all. Now, I can finally sit back and watch this installment!!!
Thanks once again for the entertainment, really enjoyed it 👏🏽👍😍🍻just love all the cooking you guys do,good to see active people who are eating so much meat, a good sign for the future of the human race.😄🙅blessings to you all 🙏👍
Brother I absolutely love watching your videos. Thank you so much for showing us your adventures. I look forward to your videos. Awesome stuff brother.
It’s been 30 yrs since I had gone hunting all my friends that had land had passed have not been in the loop for a while love your vids takes me back to the younger times thank you
I'm just getting into editing videos for my own entertainment, and I quickly realized how much work you must put into these long videos. Thanks from all of us
So much fun!!! I was really hoping Sarah got her deer....:(.....It was so touching to see how she and Zach hugged as they said goodbye. You could feel the family love. You guys are the best!!
@@JoeandZachSurvival Sgt. Roos, John T. (Ret.) I know that it's always Zach who does the drawings on the the board!:) He does a different drawing for each new deer hunt! Semper Fidelis
Look forward to these videos every year... And, I'm not even a hunter. I've never shot a gun in my life. It's just something about the area, time of year, and family. Thank you for sharing!
Sarah likes breakfast tacos just like most people like breakfast burritos I was hoping all 3 of you would get a deer. I bet that was great to have the kids with you like always great video
Look forward to this chapter every year. It's refreshing to see a family continually bond through the TENT adventures both annually and seasonally through the calendar year. It took me awhile for me to finally realize and understand this family - it's not the end result of the hunt(s) that dictates the success of a TENT trip -- Rather it's the process of preparing and planning that sweetens experience. But the core experience of the trip is family. It's certainly not for the number and size of the deer herd or the annual waterfowl migration nor the size of the northern pike.
I am repeating, but I love this video, because Sarah, is fantastic, you all are and of course your Dad, how fortunate you are to have him, Sarah prunes and tacos, you could so fit in my family !!
Love the video. One thing I have learned hunting... its better to be out in the rain looking for deer. They are more active and less cautious because the loudness of the rain.
Enjoy your videos, some very pretty country up there. I really like the family traditions y’all share. My family has been hunting on the same land for 40 years here in Louisiana.
I have been watching your videos from the very beginning. It’s been so nice watching how it has progressed over the years. The excellent content, the small lessons that you probably weren’t even aware you were giving, the father son relationship. A lot of people think you and zack aren’t close like it was in the original days but that embrace when he arrived showed they have no idea what they are talking about. Thank you for being such a good man/mentor and good luck in all you do, and keep them coming!
Sarah and her once a year can of plums,Joe when you put the roll of tolet paper to her,she smiled and laugh.priceless food cooking at the tent looks good.great videos.thanks Joe
Joe, you are a great and wonderful father, making so many memories for your children. Hats off to you !!! Keep it up! Thanks for another great watch. Your friend here in southwest Michigan, Cliff
Joe, Zack, Thank you for making these videos. they remind me of my great grandmother's cabin in the cascade mountains. I miss that as a child and I loved going there. I started watching these and love the memories they bring. I've never been hunting but your videos are inspirational. Please keep it up!!!. I've read the comments on this site a few times and may people appreciate what you do. Thanks Again.
As always another great video Joe, thanks for sharing! When you three were sitting on the floor getting your gear ready, it brought back so many memories of doing that with my cousins. Thanks again for sharing!
I'll trade you places, it is 24 here, in the twenties for last few days in NW IN. This brings back good memories when I use to deer hunt w/my friend. So nice Joe you get to share this with your children.
I just found you channel and I do enjoy it. I live in North Carolina and this remind me so much of my parents and grandparents, during hunting season. They both had a cabin, in the woods. Good times.
I saw a dear at 48:20. Nice Buck. Great to see you all together hunting as a family. This is my first time seeing Sara beside in the duck hunting video. She sure is cute. Thanks for sharing your hunt and take together at the tent. Better luck next time I hope.
I can't get enough, so I'm re-watching the 2018 deer season video here in November 2020, anxiously awaiting your 2020 release. Warmest Regards from Arizona
Thank you Joe, I appreciate the work that goes into these films. Like many of your other subscribers I love ‘The Tent’ ..... I find it really relaxing, as in my mind I’m up there with you, hunting deer! 👍🤠👏👏
Thanks for the great video Joe. My Minnesota deer hunting party had the same results you had on first weekend. We both know that being in deer camp with family & friends is so much more then shooting a deer. With that being said, good luck next weekend. I can hardly wait!
I swear, ever single time Joe says "Sarah, it's 4:30, it's time to get up", in that soft voice, I have a flashback to my Dad waking me up for hockey 35 years ago, in the *exact* same tone..."Chris, it's 5:30, time to get up for hockey". Damn, man, it brings a tear to my eye.
That was so awesome. First time I've watched a full episode like that. So cool. I've never hunted but everything else you do I have. Didn't have such a great place to hang out. Thanks for making the video.
I watch every minute of all your videos; I enjoy them a lot... This one reminds me of when I used to roam the woods in western PA in the 1950's and 1960's. Also reminds me of where I deer hunted in and western South Carolina in the 1970's.... now, eastern North Carolina... I do a lot more 'hunting', than 'getting'; similar to my 'fishing', and occasional 'catching'...
Good Video. Here in Virginia deer are so plentiful that if you fill your tags you can purchase more antlerless tags. Didn't appear to be a lot of sign in the area. Got to admire you folks for your patience. I don't hunt anymore but my old hunting buddies keep me in Venison. It's mostly farmland and large wooded areas. Rattling and grunting works sometimes with scents. Natural scents are illegal but they say the synthetics work good. The Old days of deer camp are over I guess and it's changed but there is still that feeling of anticipation going to your stand before light is still there. Looking forward to your next video. Hope you all get your deers.
Joe Love your videos - deer camp with family, the way it ought to be! Harvesting a deer is just “gravy” to your family’s sharing time together.
