This video I have the spears and munsil dvd running the demo in 1000 nit hdr10. And just want to talk about the 2 tvs in general. As a side note. I want to thank everyone for their comments. Whether they are positive or negative, you all have the right to your opinion. And that's the beauty of the channel. I want you to know that all your opinions are respected. From what I perceived of sony overall picture, I'm inclined to its natural overall picture, and can perceive those oleds only through natural image
And as I see a Samsung and LG picture is different to Sony natural/accurate colors, but only because of that I perceive (personally) their overall image as if it’s a mess, a hodgepodge, what a mind can’t perceive overall properly, and I would like a video (If it’s possible) where you make an lg and samsung natural as Sony
And like, I mean through naturality I will see/appreciate/perceive both lg and smsg pros then
so you understand, because of it i really imagined choise between 83” a80l and 83” lg g4

G4 all day everyday!!! Amazing TV
I have money, but I'm not stupid with my money. I tried the top tier tvs this year and none of them were worth the price. I got the 85 inch Hisense U8N for $1,800 and shockingly have zero issues with it. No bugs or crashes at all (like all the expensive TVs I tried this year). Gets super bright, I love the contrast, no blooming and clean panel. Sure I wish the processing was better and it doesn't do well with low bitrate streaming content, but I don't watch much that's under 1080p anyway. Any minor issues I have are balanced out by the crazy price to performance and hopefully a few updates will "fix" them.
So I think I'm going to be good for a few years until LG comes out with something more innovative beyond a supposed "new" processor every year. An OLED would obviously be better than the Hisense, but not over $3,000+ better and especially not enough to sacrifice the brightness for, which I'm really enjoying. After 10 yrs with OLEDS, I find I miss this level of brightness. At most I would love to have the QM8 back, but I already had a bad panel and since my Hisense is clean and bug free I don't want to deal with the panel lottery again.
I think people crap on Hisense too much. I have one in the bedroom and it looks and works great, especially for the price! Enjoy your new monster tv!
FOMO in a video couple days ago said LG mastered Blue PH OLED for color, but still a couple of years before bringing to market. May be the perfect TV.

I got the 3rd generation A95L 77 inch panel. I had the original I got in 2023. Sony sent me a new tv due to some problems. I’m promising everyone watching this video the new A95L 3rd generation panel is everything and a bag of chips. Mind blown
Is the panel much brighter than before? I can't decide between the bravia 9 and the a95L. I have an a95K now but I love the brightness of the bravia 9.
Prove it you have a 3rd gen Samsung Display panel.
@@aarrantucker There is nothing to decide, the bravia 9 cannot compare to the A95L, the color volume, black levels, no blooming, viewing angles its on another level. The only thing I will give the bravia 9 is that it looks brighter in a bright room.
@@chebrubin So what I'm going off of is right as the last update came out I still had my original model I got in October of 2023, after that update that orignal model was blowing my mind. It had enhanced all colors, brightness and the picture was almost jumping off of the screen. I was like holy crap look at this update. So I had heard that it was possible that Sony had came out with the update right as the shootout was here. Anyway, my new set showed up about 2 weeks after the shootout, now they had said it was possible the new panel was used 3rd gen, I don't know how to get into the menu that would tell me for sure so if anyone knows maybe post it and I will check. However I 100% will say this. I am using a 4090 graphics card and have pushed every setting that is cool and the contrast and color brightness is handled better on this panel, it's like the other tv was being pushed to the max I had ever seen it after the last update and I was really enjoying it. I did not want Sony to take the old TV back but I had no choice. The new panel I have is truly different than my other one. I understand why when Brian on Tech Therapy reviewed the 900d against the a95L he said the 900d was bighter. The new panel for the Sony is 3rd gen in my opinion because I just got it and we are well into the 8th month of 2024, I know when I bought my A95L they were sold out always I got lucky I got mine in mid October 2023, there is no way they are still buying 2nd gen panels at this late stage. I have 3rd gen and, it is freaking insane. I got very very blessed to get 2 different panels of the same model. God loved me on this one.
My biggest gripe is the lack lustre gaming features especially in comparison to an.LG or Samsung.
Rumours abound that 2025 will see them using an updated Mediatek SOC that brings them on par or exceeding 144hz refresh rate and 4x HDMI 2.1 port's
The big question... Will Samsung release a larger QD-OLED next year?
Better question - will Samsung have better image processing next year?

@@JFinns Not really, the panel hardware is much more important. I went from arguably the king king of processing (a Panasonic HZ 1000) to a Samsung S95C and I don't really miss much processing wise. The only thing that really does make a difference is the motion interpolation algorithm, if you like to use that, the Panasonic (and Sony) are much better. The advantages of the QD-Oled panel - or better the lack of disadvantages of WOled - are much more important than the processing.
Indeed, we are all waiting for an 83" QD-Oeld ;)

The G4 smashes the A95L in price as well. Jennifer Gala's content looks amazing on it. Also, it sounds like LG is going full throttle on commercializing PhOLED so the MLAs are probably gonna be short lived.
PhOLED isn’t gonna be stable or on the market for probably 3 years minimum. MLA will probably continue through the G7. LG has pretty much perfected WOLED l. Sure, it’s been around for a minute now but the newest tech is always “right around the corner”. Why not take a minute to marvel in the accomplishment LG has achieved. That’s why I’m doing with the G4 at least haha.

true that. i bought an 83" G4 and it cost less than the 77" A95L. even though i love what Sony has done with that TV... just no. bigger size is always better for immersion and the LG has many benefits on top of that, even though it loses out a bit in the color department because of the panel.
The motion is horrible on the s90d, also any bright highlights the pic literally falls apart with artifacts, such as lightening. Great for gaming, that’s about it. Movies it’s not good. Rather pay double for a TV I can actually enjoy.. Sony will be my next

Yeah they sold our of S90C 77" and just aligned the same price for S90D. LG can't survive this.
I am very happy with my 77inch S89C which is basically the same TV as S90D. S90D maybe has a bit better processor, but not enough to tell really.

What are the settings you use in Standard Mode to get the reds on the G4 to look similar to the S90D?
I’m definitely getting the 77 G4. That 3D pop you mention all the time is winning me over. As well as detail. All that color vibrancy is it really seen in real life? And this year not paying Sony money.

Wow! You have some great standard settings for the LG G4. Do you use the professional mode to tweak your colors? Could you do a video one day to explain how you tweak your colors and what settings that you use to maintain your details. Thanks again for your videos.

10% better is snot SMASHING it. Lets look at the numbers, if I scored 10 runs and you scored 10% more then me, then you would have 11 and I would have 10 runs. So one on planet earth would say that a game where one team scored 1 run more as SMASHING the opponent. I own a G4 and a A95L, they are so similar looking it's almost a joke. They are both OLED. I do not see that one TV looks so much better or even slightly better than the other. And no one watches two TVs side by side in real life. Of course they can be difference's, but they are so small that if you care about the content then the TV won't ruin your film. If you care more about what tv you are watching then the actual film you are watching, then you will never ever be happy. My buying advice, get which ever is less money.
I use two TVs side by side. it's for gaming purposes. cause if I have a friend over sometimes the 2nd player requires a 2nd screen. also I can use the 2nd screen for a video walkthrough while I'm playing a game.
A95L destroys the G4 in every single way.

I wonder if you have seen the LG G4 in person next to a QDOLED ?? I Have, many times. The G4 is absolutely NOT the better tv and it is pretty obvious. You would have to be blind to think so. Which proves to me that so many who comment on these types of videos are unthinking Fan boys.

I agree, I think this year was disappointing for TVs. But then again there's not much more advancement a TV can do and TVs don't really need to be updated every year. AI is Software so I don't get this nonsense that there's a "new" processor every year and that's why you should upgrade. That should be something continuity improving with Software.

Samsung S90D standard is brighter and more compelling than Dynamic. Please people tell me what settings you guys are using on the Samsung S90D 77" standard mode?
S90d is premium if you service menu upgrade it don't waste extra money i will make video how soon if somebody wants
The G4 has vertical banding and crushes blacks I returned mine no good.
Seems like a super picky reason to return an incredible tv. All TVs home some kind of minor flaw, even top tier. What tv did you buy instead? Are you satisfied?
83 inch? I heard it was a panel lottery when it came to that issue on the 83s and the 65s also had an issue.

NO Matter How Many Times I Set My Tv Speakers To External Speakers ( I'm Trying To Keep My Speakers On MY AVR RECEIVERS SETUP But It Goes Back To Tv Speakers Once I Turn It Back On ) It Doesn't Stay That Way And The Both Of Them Won't Turn On @ The Same Time Either??????
Optical audio or usb dongle with headphone out would fix that but lesser audio quality .Unplug tv from wall or and mess with hdmi audio options to audo manual try all

Does the LG G4 get hot as I live in a significantly warm climate and don't need a space heater in my living room.
Is the Samsung cooler to run for extended periods?
Which would be better as a pc monitor for web browsing, youtube, gaming? I'm thinking the g4 over the s90d as it has the white pixel and pc uses a lot of white even in dark mode. I'm concerned that the s90 would burn out faster since it's using all 3 pixels at the same time longer.
I use both an S90C and S95D for gaming and PC use.
In fact, QD-OLED is now flooding the market with monitors.
Burn in is always a risk, but you really have to blare static pixels at near full brightness for months without cycling. The same goes for WOLED.
With gaming, you can set paper whites for HUD in most newer games
i have s90d and a c2 and c2 is far superior as a monitor. S90d is better when connected to my ps5 though. C2 just looks a lot clearer and I just cant get the s90d to look good. Also the coating on s90d is semi glossy and not glossy like it is on the c2.
I own the 77” G4. The shadow detail and hdr/dolby vision, is amazing. Dark scenes are so crisp and clear.
When people say Dolby “just works” on the LG, they really are speaking facts.

my concern on the LG G4 is green tinting..vertical banding..color banding and pink tinting...
Pink tint / magenta hue is literally on that Samsung QD-OLED
I've seen several G4s and have an 83" G4. There's no perceptible tinting and banding typically clears up after getting some hours on the TV.
There is no tint on the G4 to my knowledge i have the tv and others that mentioned it said the same there’s no tint
@@emon_la9259 issue with filming QD-OLED panels is they push magenta when filmed, it’s not present when viewing the panel directly. Brian's tech therapy covered this IIRC.

I'm waiting for the G5. hopefully it will be QD-OLED. it's getting to be late in the year so I'd rather wait to see next year's TVs than get one of the current models.
