I had a C2 and after a lot of research, I bought the G4, and this TV is incredible, I don't even want to watch it on the C2 anymore, I've never seen an OLED TV with so much brightness and definition in the image, great colors, and it hasn't even been calibrated, exceeded expectations

Thanks for the review! I have the S90C for my bedroom (not much lighting) I noticed the LG C3 has better low-quality content smoothing (8.6/10) with less banding than the S90C (6.8/10) as well as better upscaling on C3 (8/10) vs S90C (7.5). Is the S90C worth keeping? I watch Hulu, flixtor, RUclips, and Netflix Info from Rtings.. Thanks in advance!

So I saw a C3 , S90C and A80L, all in a line, and the C3 did look close to the S90C , except that yes the S90C color volume blew me away, I was actually upset about the Sony because it made me sad to look at a boring picture. Can you explain this emotion?

The Tv itself is a good product, but their Cultivate their PRODUCT like the Pristege like Apple Status n Charge like MERCEDES level MOney collecting fans. I WAS d Biggest Fan of Japanese gadget. My Dad’s biggest Client was Japanese, he used to give me SONY stuff from Japan, i would bring to school to show off. LIstening to my professor telling us the ENTIRE SONY Marketing is scam, was like CUTTING my stomach open. Cuz it ruins my childhood memory when my mom was mean n belittling. 😅But I am so grateful years later. Truth are hardest to hear. :)

There are people who are fully aware that the G4 doesn't have the color performance of QD-OLEDs, but have stated they chose brightness over color performance. When I spend extra money on a display, I expect colors to be rich. I went through four or five laptops, mainly because of internal display performance. I've been so happy with my final laptop with a Samsung 15.6" AMOLED display for five years that I use it as MY reference standard for judging all displays. When I got my first 4K TV late last year, I made sure I was able to dial in settings which make it perform close to my laptop's AMOLED display. I can't afford a 77-inch OLED. But if I could, I'd go with the Sony A95L because of its QD-OLED color performance and support for DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby Vision--something that has it ALL.

I can't buy the S90D because the UK 55inch version isn't guaranteed to have a QD-OLED panel, forcing me to have to wait till 2025

I hear you brother. Im in EU as well and it has been confirmed that only the 65" is QD, but there is no guarantee as they list it as QD/Woled. While all the other sizes are woled. So i skipped on on S90D as well as the S95D for the matte screen.

I return my s95d because the poor quality control of samsung and the disgusting mate finish, i changed for the G4 and for me is much better tv, but i play a lot of pc games and the full bandwith hdmi ports are a killer feature to me, enjoy your tv Quantum and keep the good job

It seem almost like this years g4 should actually be the new, "c4," and the "real g4" should be something better than it is. If that makes sense? Like, the c4 this year should look as good as the g4, n the g4 should've got more work done

Yeah the g4 has one awfully dim game mode in sdr. So if you don't use hdr 24/7 its going to be one of the most dim tvs you'll ever see in 2024 for gaming.

Some people are just never going to except that it’s old technology, but I’m glad you made this video nonetheless because maybe someone who doesn’t already know will be able to wake up and listen!! Luckily for me I never had to worry about WebOS because I use standalone streaming devices anyway. One because they’re faster and 2 because it keeps your TV form being on your WiFi and getting firmware updates that ruin your picture quality.

motion processing smoothness with no judder is a must. I don't mind SOE and not fussed with brightness... my old A1 sony was fine

S95D is better because of its new technology as far as color and brightness but is it better in picture detail,depth and clarity that’s what I prefer more in a tv. Processing is definitely a big part of getting a tv in my opinion a tv has to be able to upscale new and old resolutions good.

I’ll stick to my C1 lol and if I was in the market for another new TV it wouldn’t be another LG when it’s outdated technology don’t get me wrong I love my C1 but at the time I got it it was because at that time it was one of the better TVs and in some cases I think it’s still out performed the new LG’s but until they catch up with everyone else and switch to QDOLED there’s no comparison and there’s no argument except for people that are too ignorant to know better and what an actual good picture is supposed to look like. I can’t believe we’re even having this discussion and that people are arguing the ladder.

Hey, I was wondering for the reds, I watched your comparison video of the G4 and s95D and for your setting of the G4, is there something you can do to make those reds pop a bit more or does that ruin the other colours wile trying to achieve that?
Also just wondering your personal option or others in the comments, I have a G1 and wondering your thoughts on weather going to the G4 is a big enough jump in tech etc. Or should wait for another year or two.
Appreciate your work and opinion, weather I agree or not. I like hearing and see everyone's opinions first to make up my own mind.

The fact is LG can’t use QD-OLED as Samsung display will sue them. With multi Array I think that’s what is called LG way of trying to match QD-OLED.
The unfortunate thing is LG Display division devision has a new president who basically stated the R and R budget will be slashed since sales of Oled has gone down.
I expect LG will try selling new models using market jargon instead of new innovations.

I find iy baffling, almost comically tragic, that there are still those stubbornly refusing to acknowledge the superiority of QD-OLED over WOLED. It's not just about the numbers, the specs, or the marketing jargon-it's about what your eyes can see, the pure visceral experience. Even QLED, often dismissed, stands above WOLED. The main fact of things is that Micro Leds Displays Technology uses Sapphire and they are definitely more stable than the QD-Oled or the WRGB Oled Organic Material Products degradation! I am truly not going to waste my money on no Organic or Hyper Quantum Organic Oled Television Technology from Samsung Electronics or WRGB Oled Displays. I am honestly going to wait for the Micro Leds Televisions 📺 Technology because it is truly better for sure in digital images Display Screens Technology without Brightness 🌞 aggressive dimming performance problems like the current QD-Oled or WRGB Oled Televisions 📺 Displays Technology for sure!

Have read literally hundreds of comments on forums from people sharing their experiences with a new G4 having upgraded from pretty much every tv you can think of and haven’t heard one negative comment regarding the colour capabilities. Everyone is chuffed with their product. And no this isn’t just from lg fan boy forums. As you say though it doesn’t have the contrast of QD oleds and there are plenty of folks who need that in their lives. And yes going the route of QD Oled over investing in mla would have made more sense for lg. For me personally I used your C1 settings for my C2 and modified them a bit to suit my panel and I’m loving the results. Has way more pop and depth than filmmaker mode which in most cases looks terrible. That being said the C2 has the ability to saturate the picture far more than I’m comfortable with so from my perspective I’d be more than happy with what the G4 can do in that area and then combine that with the clarity and motion handling I’d say it’s a winner. Probably the best advice you have for someone who’s stuck on LG is get the G3, mush cheaper and is all the LG you’ll need.

Im a complainer says the guy writing me a book. Even micro led will have shortcomings. The problem is the G3 exists offering a near identical image for less. QD-OLED also exists with vastly superior color. Hearing the alternatives should come off as complaining to you. It should be informative. You can save money and get the same or better in today's market.
You should remember my reviews aren't based on your sensitivity of lg criticism. Let go and live a little. Its just a tv review. Something tells me its not that deep bro. Just buy the better tv or enjoy your lesser experience on the g4.
