Just mounted my 77" G4. That's a heavy unit and mounting it was a bit of a struggle since we were over a glass topped media console and sight lines are limited. The best view is from the top center looking down. I ended up standing on the media center and used an inexpensive plastic drywall carrier to hold the tv from the bottom center. With help from the sides we maneuvered the unit into place. Note that you can't get one side set and still get the other side in. Both sides of the TV need to be placed in the upper opening of the bracket before you allow the TV to settle into the lower portion. Good luck!
This is a brilliant help. Our set should arrive tomorrow, but the online manual only shows the installation of the stand, not the wall mount that's included standard in the Netherlands. Thanks to you I now feel (somewhat) prepared ;)
you don't know how useful this video has been to me. I've not bought the tv yet but using online measurements I've built a frame the exact size of tv to bring it out from wall. Having acoustic panels with the plugs all behind the tv. Like you, I have a block I've made to bring the bracket off the wall. I've gone for OSB instead of MDF. TLDR - I wasnt sure I'd prepared the bracket the right size and was looking for measurements everywhere. based on your video and 98mm from the top I'm fully prepared for when it arrives next week.
Is it possible to put a phillips hue led strip o the back because there is not much room left. And does it have to click because maybe you can just not fully put the tv all the way to the wall
Thanks so much for the fantastic and informative video! It’s so great to know that you can adjust the level of the TV even after installing the included LG wall mount! Such an amazing feature!
Thank you for a very nice video. Do you know the dimensions on where the recessed wire junction box should be located for wires? I already have a recessed wire junction box installed in the wall and I am hoping it will work for this TV
I STRONGLY recommend that anyone mounting a LCD TV larger than 55 inches have someone give you a hand. It's not that they are too heavy to lift by yourself, it's that they are a lot more fragile than you think they are. Ask me how I know.... I don't want to talk about it..... 😡🤬
I'll tell you how I know... I was doing a task rabbit job and I broke the client's TV!!! FML. I paid for the damages and took a loss. I always get help now if it's over 50 inches. 😂😭
You don't happen to have the measurement from the bottom of TV to the lower bracket holes do you? You included that in the G3 measurements video and I think most people decide TV placement from bottom of tv distance to floor. If not I guess I could figure this out from your 98 mm measurement along with the measurements for the tv and the bracket specs.
That's the beauty of going with the gallery OLED series.. not only is the no gap wall mount able to be extended (pulled out), but it's also able to be rotated, too. If I remember rightly, when fully extended, it's approximately 5 to 6 inches from wall to back of TV. Might not sound much, but when it comes to rotation, a 5-in gab does the job
Both options are open to you with the G Series OLED. The no gap wall mount also gives one the option not just to pull out, but to pull out with the option of slight rotation. If I remember rightly from wall back of TV is approximately 5 to 6 inches. The distance sound much, but it's enough to rotate the TV
@@Totalplonkeris it safe to pull it out on one side to create an angle? I’m concerned it’s not meant to stay like that and full support is only when it’s pushed back? Does the manual say anything
Hi Dan, I’ve just purchased the 65 inch G4 .. one major problem my 13amp socket is directly where the bracket is to go.. onto a solid block wall. I noticed that you had a hole somewhere near the bottom of the tv… had you not used the ply to mount onto would there have been enough space for the plug, not hampering the tv fitting back without making contact?
Hi, sorry for my english 😅 is it possible to know if the space on the right( where there are 2 hdmi port) is big enought, for insert an amazon fire stick 4k ? It's 14,1 cm. Thank you
Awesome video, what is the dimensions of the plywood you used on the wall? I like this idea, especially if you want space between the wall and the tv for media outlets.
Is there a max size for fixings? I’ve had to use metal rawl anchors as the popular dot and dab fixings are too short 😢 I’ve ordered m8. Will they fit? Can’t seem to find the measurement anywhere!
Hi Dan, a question about the power block for the sound bar USG10TY. How would you position it out of site? The only way i can think is is to cut a recess into the wall.
Hello.... Anyone have the product code and name for the plastic cover lid that cover the screws of the support wall? At Brazil we not have the option to buy this cover or the mount stand for table (I bought at Europe this stand for table and need this plastic cover to hidden the screws)..... This for LG is badly (at manual indicate the model part code for stand table, but LG not sell it at Brazil).....
Does anyone know where to buy this bracket? It looks like it’s sold out everywhere and I just bought the LG G4 and want to join the flush wall-mount party!
I hope the whole thing only served as an example for illustration because the way the TV is now hanging does not close flush with the wall and this is exactly what characterizes the G models
@BlakeCDS I think near the middle, if you have a quick look at the unboxing i did of this in the dimensions part I think I measured where they were and the vesa size

Sounds bad, I agree with you. It's also easier to see where you're mounting it with 2 people

ruclips.net/video/UtnBDw5ufZc/видео.htmlsi=y8RewmcFbi0EQ96o go to the dimensions part there
so even if the wall mount isn't perfectly level with the wall, you can adjust the TV later to level it?
what about cables? is it possible to hide the sockets behind the TV?
does it have to be flush with the wall
Thank you so much. I just ordered the version with the stand and wasn't sure, if this version can be mounted at the wall if I get tired of the stand.
Nein das geht nicht in diesem Fall müssen Sie die Wandhalterung extra bestellen

I have an LG 83" OLED evo C4 series TV. I can't seem to find the correct TV wall mount. Can you attach a link with the correct wall mount? Thank you
Querría saber cuál es el soporte de pie o soporte para mueble para la LG evo G4 65 pulgadas. Gracias
Really useful video thank you for posting. Can I ask what size drill bit I should used? I have a masonry wall and I’m thinking 8mm?
Will that mount work on a plaster or sheet rock wall?
Man !!!!! You saved my life...... Thank You !
Glad it helped, now sit back and enjoy
Van you leg a distance from around 5cm? I have an Outlet Right behind The TV…
How big is your plate on the wall? I just bought an LG G4-83. It needs to be hung on 2 layers of drywall.
Do I have to puch the TV flush with the wall or can i keep it out? hence i saw that I can turn the tv left/right/ if I keep it out.

where can i buy that wall mount please? I cannot find it....
Its dedicated for new LG G4 series
B&H
How do I plug it in? Nobody seems to show where we should position the socket so it can go back flush
Unfortunately this bracket doesn't really work with the socket behind it unless it's recessed for the plug to be flush when plugged in
Any suggestions how I get a flush fit on a chimney breast…?

If I want to route the cables through the wall, I'm assuming I'd have to make the hole in exactly the right place at the bottom of the TV.
Me sorprende la facilidad con la que hacen este trabajo, con mi tv tarde cinco horas 😅

Nice review, great bracket❤
Does 65 gx work for 83 g4
You left out the cabling part, which is what really mattered since no one shows it... Sizing, etc... bah.

Did you buy the stand g4 version? The wall mount version comes with the bracket, you can sometimes pick them up cheap on ebay
I hope the whole thing only served as an example for illustration because the way the TV is now hanging does not close flush with the wall and this is exactly what characterizes the G models
The LG website says it includes a wall mount. Are you in the US? Not sure if it's a regional thing.
55 and 65” come with stand. 77 and up come with wall mount
❤best model tv
How doable is this for someone with minimal DIY skills?! You make it look easy 😂
Great review. Does the g2 use the same flush mount. Kind regards
Yes it does, I've done a video on that as well. It's pretty much the same thing but in my house
What size holes did you drill? The instructions give no bit diameter
8mm using supplied bolts
Don't like that the mount is right at the top, I have a swivel mount and if I put the TV on it you'd see the bars sticking up through the top
If you're mounting a different bracket it has separate vesa mounts to accommodate other brackets
