Love this! My favorite stationery store in Japan is Cute Things From Japan. They really seem to curate their offerings to be more handcrafted, quality designs, and I love them.
I live in Tokyo, but I never knew those fantastic stationery shops! I came across your channel while looking for the RUclipss on Edinburgh, my favorite city I ever visited. I really love to see your videos.
This made me cry so hard haha, I went to japan in the spring for the first time and it's been incredible, as an artist and stationnery addict, this country is amazing, and the people, and the food.. AHH. And I have rats, so I like them :) they are really sweet animals
Right? The whole otter obsession came out of nowhere! I don't remember seeing cure otters in Japan during my previous trips and then bam, suddenly you can otter up your whole house with goods from the dollar store! .D
hello! may I check whether there is any store that's similar to U arts in Tokyo? really like the cat figurines that they are selling as seen in your video but am not visiting Osaka this time. hence hoping to find similar items in Tokyo :)
In Japan you can get from 3 pack of washis for 100 yen (about $1) to a single roll for 400-500 yen from somewhere more design-driven, like the MT store! (but those are usually larger. BUT I gotta say the 100 yen washis are also very high standard of quality!)

This is great! Also, thanks for talking a little about which stores are less crowded. That really is very helpful information!

@@Kakibot makes me wonder if that had anything to do with the benedict cumberbatch/otter meme ...
@@zinekatzines Hahaha that is a wild theory and I choose to believe it's true!
Rats are awesome. I had one as a pet. I also had mice which are awesome too. But I feel like Rat's are more loving like cats.
Agreed! I would have my pet rat around me almost daily, and she would just happily sit on my shoulder or in my backpack, so loyal
Japanese stationery quality is excellent

Itoya OMG....
I went to Loft and Itoya in Ginza and both were so disappointing. Didn’t bother to look for others.
