Hi, I live in Kyoto, Japan, and I want to add a quick note as a frequenter of shrines/temples and a stationary enthusiast. The book that appeared early in the video that opened up like an accordian is called a "Goshuincho". Some people use it for stamp rallies and as a sort of scrapbook and I believe the material of the book makes it a wonderful option to do so, with the accordian shape letting you display all the pages in full . Howevever, if you want to collect the stamps that come with calligraphy done by Monks and Priests at Temples/Shrines called "Goshuin" in that book, you must NOT USE THEM FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE THAN TO COLLECT GOSHUIN. This means you cannot write, sketch, stick anything on that book. This includes the tourist stamps which you may find around temples (that you are generally free to use) that you should stamp on a separate book. This is because when you start using that book to collect Goshuin, it is considered Sacred and you should not use them for any other purpose. Please note that anyone, no matter your religion, can collect Goshuin freely so it is an especially great souvenier when you come to Japan, letting you recall all the temples/Shrines you've visited 😄. Sorry if I'm being rude and excuse my bad english 🙏
Thank you for clarify that, you are not being rude at all! Again, thank you! I'll make that note if I ever make another haul video (I likely will return, how can I not??)
Thank you so much for the information. I’m planning a trip in 2026 My cousin lives in Yokohama and will help me with issues like what is mentioned. I have such respect for Japan and its people
I love stationary too, and understand your joy of stationary store shopping. What a treat to be able to do it in Japan. Someday I dream I’ll be able to go in Japanese stationary store and spend as much as I want to spend on stationary and pens and inks.
That store is amazing! I would be in there hours looking and buying everything! I am obsessed with all things paper and stationary. Your haul is fantastic!
that sightseeing notebook for the temple stamps is so cool, i dont think i realized those existed last time i went. definitely getting one if i plan a future trip! the multitabbed folder (that you put a vinyl sticker sheet in) was also super cute, i could see your shop having something like that. and the pouch that could fit your journal and had little pockets! the note stickers that you made the quick weekly spread with are so cute, could absolutely see you making a set of those for your monthly subs!
WOW! I am in love with all of the cool stationary items they have in Japan! My jaw was dropping almost the entire time as I was watching this video. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
I’m planning my trip to Japan and found your video! Now I’m a new subscriber and am OBSESSED with your journaling videos. It’s great idea to capture memories of trips and even daily activities. Looking forward to more of your videos! ❤ Thank you for sharing!
I can’t possibly tell you how happy this video made my heart happy. 💖 I loved everything, but especially the It’s a Small World Washi and pens. I was mesmerized by the whole video. Thank you so much for doing this. Truly happy today 🌺
Love this haul! I came back yesterday from a 3 week trip through Japan and Korea and I am dreading to update my financial sheet because I bought soo much stationery too 😅
This was very relaxing to watch, definitely would love to see more haul videos❤ there’s never enough washi 😂 or stationary! I love all the washi and stickers 🫶🏼✨I hope I can go to Japan someday
Great video! Just came back from Japan and surprised to put all the stationeries that I got together. 😂😂 Now I need to buy more storage units to store those stationeries. It’s a vicious (happy) cycle. Lol
Beautiful video and what an amazing haul! Always wanted to visit Japan for their stationery. I found the pouch cool because it can fit a journal then a place for pens and washi tapes. And that Starbucks reserve looks fantastic! Looks like you had a really nice time in Japan.
ooh that first notebook from Itoya is a "goshuincho". The accordian style book is specifically for temple stamps only, so if you put train stamps in they may refuse to stamp your book at the temple! I am trying to hunt down the Bungujoshi Stationery event they have once a month! Hoping i can catch it when i'm in Japan in November this year!
Ohh, so do not mix temple and transportation stamps. Correct? how do you call the journal for the train and ferry stations? I am trying to find cute ones online but it is a mission impossible. I don't want to wait until I get to Japan since I want to start stamping as soon as leaving the airport😅
@@ml8968 I think train and ferry station stamps can be collected in an "eki stamp" book. I know Loft for sure carries them and you can use any book/notebook. I got a blank book at the Traveler's store in Narita Airport when i went iin 2019.
@claratse3792 Oh, thank you so much. I will look them up now. If I don't find any that speaks to me, then I may just get some at the airport before heading to the train. Thank you Lovely
WOWEE!!!! Look at all them stationary! 😍😍 Still a bucket list for me to visit Japan, but I feel like I would get sucked into all those stationary shops for my whole trip 😂 I love the intricate foil-stamped washi tapes and the wax sealing stamp stickers the most! So prettyyyy 😍 Looking forward to your next video! ❤
yeah my haul wasn't even a small fraction of everything cute. i could have easily bought double or triple the amount, but that'd be TOO irresponsible haha
Great haul!! I don't think there's such thing as spending too much money on stationery lol! My favourite item is the Snoopy anniversary stamp from Snoopy Chaya. Last year when I went to Japan, I bought a ton of washi tapes, stickers and pens. It was so much fun and I want to go back again! Will you consider drawing a Snoopy and siblings limited collection? I'm a huge fan of Olaf (Snoopy's brother) and I bought a ton of it in Japan 🤣
How are the prices in US $? Also, never would have thought to use a ruler like that to tear off the edges of my washi tape 😊 Probably helps prevent jagged edges when you use scissors.
I am jeading to Japan in a few months and I am looking for a stamp notebook like that. It is so cute. I did googled for it but can't find one, or at least one that speaks to me. Would you have a link for us to be able to order a pilgrimage note book like yours?
funfact 曾means "before". often used in conjunction with “经” =曾经(in the past/before). It reads as "ceng jing" in han yu ping yin. In this case you 曾经 went to this shrine 😁❤
You got some really nice things there. Love it all ❤ May I suggest for future videos to scale down the music and up your voice over sound. I’m having a bit of a hard time understanding everything with the music so loud
please turn the binaural setting on your mic off so that sound can be heard equivocally. this video had the sound focused on the right headphone more than the left, and it made the voiceover really uncomfortable to listen to.

It is definitely on my list of places I would love to visit!
Everything was so cute. Hoping to go to Japan in the next year. Can’t wait to go shop at all the stationery shops. Thanks for sharing.

Hehehe, relatable.
I love everything here. Sumikogurashi is definitely my favourite. I would definitely buy all of the stationary goodies over in Japan and Tokyo.
I just found out about Sumikogurashi during this trip - it's such a cute story !
I love it all, but especially the Disney washi and Traveler’s Store stuff!
Beautiful video and what an amazing haul! Always wanted to visit Japan for their stationery. I found the pouch cool because it can fit a journal then a place for pens and washi tapes. And that Starbucks reserve looks fantastic! Looks like you had a really nice time in Japan.
thank you!! yes it's worth it if you can make the trip. i wish i went earlier!
my favorite was the sailor shikioiri pens! they are so beautiful. i love their bottled inks too. your disney washis are amazing!
Great video!
they have sooooo many pens and i didn't have time to test them all! thanks for dropping by!

Everything was so cute!!! My favourites were the panda and unicorn washis and the snoopy and Disney items 😍😍😍 great haul!!
snoopy might be around the corner (oh wait, you know that haha)

It's next on my limited collection list !
this type of hauls are my fav to watch
This is a great haul video. Thank you for taking the time to do such a detailed one
Love your haul! What do you think was the most expensive? Was it the pens?
I loved the idea of using sticky notes for a weekly spread!❤
yeah it works surprisingly well - especially if you have a raccoon's butt as a sticky note 🤣
How are the prices in US $?
Also, never would have thought to use a ruler like that to tear off the edges of my washi tape 😊 Probably helps prevent jagged edges when you use scissors.
This video and your methods are so helpful and interesting!! Can any of these be bought/shipped to India?
Oh that mesh pouch is coming from amazon jp this week. I'm in BE 🇧🇪

I would love to go to a Japanese stationary store 🥰 I wonder how different Daiso is in Japan compared to the stores we have in Australia
‼️How to use Koi fish mechanical pencil ‼️
・shake vertically
Or
・push the clip down
Then you can get the pencil lead out. I hope this helps!!
I would like to see a vlog of the rest of the trip.
funfact 曾means "before". often used in conjunction with “经” =曾经(in the past/before). It reads as "ceng jing" in han yu ping yin. In this case you 曾经 went to this shrine 😁❤
Omg goals
Same here
i can't wait to go back !
All the Tokyo Disney washi 😍😍😍
i wish Disneyland in the US would have some good stationery :(
Loved it all but Snoopy was my favorite.
I can't wait to show you what we ate at the snoopy cafe too in a future vlog!
You got some really nice things there. Love it all ❤
May I suggest for future videos to scale down the music and up your voice over sound. I’m having a bit of a hard time understanding everything with the music so loud
Thanks for watching! Will keep that suggestion in mind ☺️
thanks for this lovely haul video! I love it!! Please do more if you have more! helps me decide if I would like the pens too :D
i'll have to do another big shopping trip to make a new video (which i'll likely do), or even unbox my own stuff haha. thanks for the feedback !
Love this!!! Thank you ❤
How fun!
