The Bee Gees are fascinating because they are unarmed. There are no defenses against the heart joy and pain. They show it all. That's why I love them. They are the pure, real thing.

I had the great fortune of seeing Barry Gibb at an event (1989) and Bee Gees in Las Vegas, NV (1997). They were stellar to hear LIVE! One of the best concerts of my life - I wanted them to continue singing another hour (or two!) The harmonies from three brothers was pure magic from microphones. Bee Gees music will not only make you feel emotions, you'll also be dancing, moving, grooving...Next song to hear? "Fanny Be Tender" Official video ..there's a soulful song with some classic falsetto!

I saw them in 1978. It was one of the most amazing concerts that I have ever been to. I went with my then boyfriend who is now my husband of almost 35 years and he love them too. Barry sang a song called “words”, you’ll have to listen to it. But when he let out the first two notes of the song the women screamed so loud throughout the whole song that you couldn’t even hear the rest of the song, it was amazing.
And yes they were just as fabulous in concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍😀😍

Yes, that’s Barry singing lead on this one. They all have perfect pitch which is how they are able to sing, harmonise, and play instruments naturally without lessons. Super musically gifted songwriters and performers. Wikipedia says for this song, they recorded 9 layers of 3 part harmony, creating 9x3=27 voices. The most amazing part of the process was that Barry sang all of his parts only once each, one right after the other, without listening to his previous vocals in headphones, and they all blended perfectly. Then Robin and Maurice came in and the 3 of them did what you see in the video 3 times in one mike having the effect of one voice. In the final mix, Barry’s falsetto is dominant. Musical genius! They donated the proceeds from this #1 song to a children’s charity in perpetuity. They started singing as kids. To see their first tv appearance, just search for BEE GEES 1960.

It was televised when they chose the song and signed it over to Unicef and they sang this perfectly. What I also find amazing is that none of them ever learned to read music. They just explained what was in their mind until they got what they wanted. They wrote this and Tragedy in the same afternoon and got the idea for Shadow Dancing that evening. Three number ones in a day.

I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the best falsetto voice ever, & what makes it so incredible, is that in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this, they were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed, & they span over years, & crossed many genres 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️ Curious, do you need a cigarette after listening to this song!!! You need to hear some of Robin's leads. He was called the best white soul singer of his generation by peers and many critics. His voice on ballads could make you cry. Amazing vibrato. Barry took more leads in the mid 70's because the falsetto was popular in the "disco era" which they considered R&B. They didn't even know what "disco" was.

This one song they gave the copyright royalties to unicef. Everything made from that day recorded was given to that organization and that was a lot of money and still continues as each radio station, airplay, use of the song goes to it. It used to be $50.00 each time the song played for the publisher or songwriter if they didn’t sign the rights away to some producer. The thing to know is what they gave up with the giving of this song. It was from that day in the studio to now and the future and always. This is what Maurice and robin left behind for us and for needy children.

At the peak of their fame the BGs were nothing short of a phenomenon... This song in particular was what we used to call a "babymaker".. slow dancing to this with your girl back in the day was a sure fire way to get busy lol

I like seeing the younger generation enjoying oldies. I love your reaction. You really express it. Bee Gees are the greatest. It's sad that Barry lost his 2 brothers shown here. He also lost his younger brother prior,Andy Gibb, that also has songs. Their music will always live on. All their songs are awesome. God bless Barry and his brothers.

Smokey robinson is great. Sounds like Barry but Barry is above them all. Not only is he soulful but other genres. Noone in history can outsing him. Barry gibb you are the most blessed singer ive ever heard. I loved a young elvis .Freddie mercury was phenomenal and Michael Jackson was great but Barry stands alone.

You talk and pause it too much. You’re not getting the full impact of the song when you disrupt the flow. Save most of your reaction for the end. I had to bail. Sorry

How about ,"I hear you knocking" by Dave Edmonds or ,"let's work together", by Wilbert Harrison . Interested in your opinion . Thank you . Great presentation.

The recorded live and all the proceeds were donated. Robin and Maurice are twins. I saw them live, indeed they sound as good if not better live. It’s good to feel your reaction pause and all. They wrote a song for Mr. Otis Redding called “To Love Somebody” unfortunately a month before. Mr. Redding passed away. They have been playing music since 1956 I believe.

Their falsetto vocal range was developed in the 1970's by far their most dominant era - their 70's sound had a Rnb , soulful , funky sound and they took Disco to a whole new level making them mega stars across the planet.

They formed in 1958 at ages 12 and 9. Have songs into 2001. Barry is still doing music. Had album In The Now 2016 and Greenfields 2021. Please react to Kiss of Life, Man in the Middle, Wedding Day, To love somebody. Great reaction. Barry is in middle, Robin is one without beard, Maurice (pronounced Morris) has beard. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins.
