No bathroom is a fail, for me. Some campgrounds expect you to be self-contained now (washrooms are closed). Good luck, you seem like a nice family.
You gotta compromise when you want to fit 4 seats and sleeping for 4 people. So the bathroom is the sacrifice you got to make.
They have a toilet & shower. I think it’s perfect!

The idea to do a trip in a rv/van with my 6 and 2yo seems super fun on paper, but I'm quite sure that within half a day in I'm gonna contemplate ways to kill myself :D :D :D

Get a tent extension for the backside if the van. Ive been wanting one of those for my van. It can extend your sleeping area. Store it in a luggage rack on top of the van when not in use.
I feel that, anxiety and depression has been heavy. We're about to have a van adventure in April! We are choosing a minimal build out in our regular Chevy express. This was so beautiful. Can't wait to follow along.
Ode to be young again, this reminded me of all,the fun we had going to weekend outdoor concerts and camping. The van didn’t have a bathroom. We always camped close to the facilities. While living in Virginia, we rented a camping spot for the whole summer. We’d head there when we got off work.Cooked out with anyone who showed up. We love our musician friends that was some great times out sitting by a bonfire beside the ocean.The years of Harvey Walbangers, Boons Farms wines. You guys have fun.you can document all. Wow, I went before home computers.

First van I've ever seen with 3 sleeping areas. Excellent use of space. I don't think I could go without some kind of bathroom space, but then, I'm an older person.
@Amy Walker....they have both a potty and a shower. I am thinking the potty is a composting one since it was stored under the cabinet and they said they have an outdoor shower unit. So necessities are there and using them is part of the adventure. It's all how you look at it.

I only watched because I thought ya'll were crazy for four people to live in a van but then....I saw your van.. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! Well thought out design,effective use of space (especially the boys' space) and aesthetically calm. Well done indeed. One of the best I"ve seen.
I bet soon you'll add a curtain system for the bunk beds...adds privacy and will help the kids fall asleep. :)

Brilliant van conversion, having an outdoor shower is a better use of space, a pop up tent or two, they can be joined together, depending on the type, will make the adventure thrilling for the kids. They are also useful as a changing room, when you have visitors, and as a daytime kids wc, they can never hold it long enough to make it to a restroom.

Great design for vacation trips. It takes some young bladders to handle all night without a 2 AM trek to the campground toilets.

We bought a van this summer for the same thing! We LOVE traveling but have a high risk kiddo so can’t chance going anywhere with shared spaces. It’s been so fun and I can’t wait to see the adventures ya’ll get up to!

I have 2 little boys (2 years, and 3 months) myself and I don't think my 2 year old would handle being in a car that much. But I would eventually love to do something like this.

BTW, Glacier National park and Yellowstone in Montana/Wyoming are great places you guys need to see. If me and my family ever see your conversion van out and about we'll definitely have to say hi!

This is an amazing conversion. Absolutely beautiful & functional... and the fact that it sleeps four is unreal! The only thing that bothers me (no matter how much I try to not let it bother me) is when a van doesn't have an indoor shower/bathroom. But aside from the fact that this van is lacking an indoor shower/enclosed toilet, this is one of the best conversions I have seen.

Have you thought about an awning with zip on sides? Great if you park up for a few days, extra space for the porta pottie and pet or young children to move around safely when you are meal prepping etc. Take a look at ladybailey caravans website.. go to shop on menu.. tap on awnings to get an idea. Can double or triple your space
