I finally got time to make a set. Our son picked out fabric for his birthday in October and they stitched up beautifully! I’ve already cut fabric to make a set for my husband and I. Thank you❤
THANK YOU. I had been rolling the fabric from the bottom which made pulling the fabric through difficult and painful to my wrists. Worse on flannel so I no longer added the flange. I tried your method with the quilting cottons and it pulled through so easily! Thank you! I will probably sew the flanges down too as many won't iron.
I love your tutorial on the pillowcases because your instructions were easy to follow and you took your time in explaining everything. Thank you so much. I am going to try this. ❤️
What is the finished length of the pillow case? I am assuming this is for a standard size; it seems kind of long to me, but I an probably missing something.
These pillowcases do make wonderful gifts! I made many. Yet, my challenge was always making sure that the flange matched perfectly together when first sewing the seams together. With such a thick layer of fabrics in that area, you made it seem so easy!! I usually had to redo if I was off a bit. No matter how hard I tried to keep it aligned, I think my sewing foot pushed the fabric off, even with it pinned! Any suggestions?
It's definitely a challenge. The best thing is to really take your time, use pins before and after the bulkiest part of the seam, or use clips to hold it in place. Lastly, you could lift your presser foot up just a little bit so there isn't as much pressure when it goes over the seams. Just really make sure your fabrics don't shift.
Steph! Love your videos!! If you do Christmas in July again in 2023 can you provide a quick add to this by providing dimensions if you want directional fabric to run horizontally across the pillow like the way it lays on the bed? Thanks!!!
I also made a Harley Davidson pillowcase for my partner. Funny story I went away for a girl's weekend. He called me and said I think I ruined my pillowcase. Because of that little trim didn't sit flat after the dryer. Lol
It does fit a queen but can be rather snug depending on how thick the pillow is. You can always add an inch to the body if you want some extra length for a queen pillow.
Instead of using your fingernails to pull the seam out, just move it down a bit and press it flat. Then when you line it back up to get a nice clean edge, it's all pulled out of itself and easy to iron!
Why require so much information just to get a free pdf pattern, just an email should be sufficient. Don't think my address and phone number should be required.
There appears to be an issue when you watch it in the RUclips app. It is working correctly when you play it on our website shop.quiltaddictsanonynous.com
Why not just do French seams like you would do on denim? It’s easier than all the extra steps. Not understanding why you and others are working harder. Also, someone made me a few of these, after a few washes the seams came apart. If you sew them as you would denim, that wouldn’t happen. It seems 1/8” is too narrow to sew like that. It doesn’t allow for enough stability. Sincerely, I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for your tutorial.
We think it is just taking a while to get everywhere on the Internet. It is working in some areas, but not others. Please try again in 15 or 30 minutes.

Sound is working fine for me. This is a great project. I have made travel pillows for all of my grandkids using this method.

Perfect and easy enough. Hope these work for a service project for hospitalized children. Thank you!💕

Works great-loud and clear. This will be my next project, always wanted to learn how to do this. Thank you!

They are so cute. I might have to do this.
What a fun idea! ❤
My Pillowcase Rule is 3 x 9 = 27. 3 = Trim. 9 = Cuff. 27 = Body of Pillowcase, (WOF). These numbers are embedded into my brain.
Thanks for that, I wrote it down in my idea book so I can revert back to it. What a blessing

How long would your fabric be if you want to make a king size pillow?

We can look into that!
What measurements would you use for a travel size pillow? Thank you.
Thanks for the tutorial!
Great tutorial....Thanks
You explained so good for me. Than you
Thank you for this tutorial, great gift idea! Are you misting with water or starch?
Just misting with water! :)
Great tip!

I want to make a travel size pillow case 12x18 so how much larger do I cut my fabric?
The best piece to adjust the size is the main body. You want it to be able to wrap around your pillow with a little extra room.
The links go "404" when I click on them ... where can I buy the mermaid Christmas fabric? I love your video!!
Does this pattern fit a queen size pillow? Thanks!

You are using directional fabric and your pillowcases are going the wrong way.
No sound. Other RUclips videos have sound, so not on my end.
