I love how consistently but subtly Capcom reminds us that Akuma is a pretty decent, normal guy when not fighting. @@RameoMTL MK power scaling is all over the place. Bi Han was a beast whyel he was Sub-Zero took down 4 Gods, killed Scorpion, defeated demon armys in the Neather Realm where his powers are weaker, he was able to beat base Shinnok and was able to survive his monster form. Well then he died and Quan Chi said he made him even stronger as Noob Saibot onlye for him to lose every fight his in from that point on.
In the old timeline, it is revealled that Shao Kahn is a god in deception, and Raiden had to restrain his god powers (which can shake the planet to its core and cause the extinction of the dinosaurs) in order to participate in Mortal Kombat, so something similar might have happend with Shao Kahn.
In the new timeline, everyone is weaker. One of the head writers said that fatalities are not canon in Twitter, and there is an old fatality where one of the cyborgs makes the planet explode with a small bomb.
@@RameoMTL lets say Akuma and Liu kang are compariable to each other. in MK 11 Aftermath. Shao Kahn beat Lui Kang and broke his legs. So even then. Shao Kahn would still win

Honestly, if you ask me Akuma was the faster fighter if you include his appearance in Tekken 7 into account assuming its canon which I think it is considering surviving the Raging Demon was considered a canon feat by Heihachi Mishima in his death battle against Geese Howard, I see no reason why it isn't canon for Akuma. Akuma landed the Raging Demon on Heihachi Mishima (Granted it didn't kill him due to plot and he was caught by surprise) who could react to at least 4.09% the speed of light according to the episode mentioned above by scaling to an Inferior Jack models and Heihachi and Akuma could outmanoeuvre Jack-7s no problem. That is more then double the fastest speed feat Shao Kahn has shown. This didn't even mention the fact that Akuma wasn't in Shin Akuma or Oni form when he fought Heihachi so it's likely the gap been Akuma and Shao Kahn is even bigger then that. I am not saying that Kahn couldn't win this fight he was stronger and more powerful but that doesn't really translate into direct combat I mean Liu Kang has beaten him time and time again so between the Raging Demon and Akuma's superior speed I think Akuma should have won this.
Akuma didn't even use the Kongo Kokuretsuzan
You're forgetting one factor. Street fighters can't ef with Mortal kombatants.
Saying "flawless victory" while having a huge hole in your body doesnt exactly work

Just for clarification, Liu Kang and Raiden's power combined was capable of matching Cetrion because one is a Thunder God and the other is one strong enough to beat Shao Kahn single-handedly everytime they fought. So how exactly does this mean Shao Kahn scales to the Elder Gods in power? Shao Kahn beat Raiden outside of Earthrealm each time he won, Raiden is much weaker when he steps into another realm. Even Shang Tsung feared Raiden's wrath during the first tournament that took place in Earthrealm. When Kahn invaded Earthrealm at the end of MK9, he was powered up off the majority earthrealm souls and that of the slain Earth's greatest warriors that Sindel killed. Kahn obeyed the Elder Gods' rules for a reason. If we're to get even deeper, Shao Kahn was murdered by a combined assault from Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, the same two who defeated Raiden and Liu Kang. If he truly was as mighty as the Elder Gods, he would have been Shinnok level power which he certainly was not. Kahn is a beast, but he is not Elder God level.
The whole logic of how Kahn took on the power of ALL the Elder God's is incredibly flawed. They misinterpreted the lore which ended up SUPER HIGH BALLING SHAO KAHN, I can help you with the lore if you want me to.

I move Korra and her power is no joke and definitely more varied but I'm guessing Storm will win due to what I call "the legacy clause" meaning that since Storm has existed for longer and in many incarnations there's a higher chance any of those incarnations will each have a single incredible feat that makes them OP that when melding them into a single "prime" version of the character the newer less explored opponent has no chance

I'm thinking the "Flawless Victory!" with a hole through his stomach is a reference to the Mortal Kombat movie where Liu Kang declares his win over Shang Tsung to be a "Flawless Victory" despite it being nothing of the sort.
That’s what I was thinking. Combined with Shao Khan merely mocking and saying Akuma’s attacks did nothing
I mean it's Shao Khan, he's the voice announcer, you don't think he wouldnt give himself the flawless after he takes on someone so powerful? I mean...
Well, Liu Kang might have been right if you consider that him and Shang Tsung traded rounds before Liu Kang clapped Shang's cheeks in the final one.
wrong it was a flawless victory. Lu took damage during his fight with TS but when he was reminded he was the chosen one he took no damage and became the chosen one. Kind of like Neo becoming the one in the matrix yea Neo took damage but the one was unfazed by the battle with smith.
Actually if you're talking about the og film, that was a flawless victory. There was 3 rounds. Round one: LK wins, took damage. Round two, ST wins, took damage. Round 3, LK beat ST without taking damage, therefore LK did beat ST with a Flawless Victory
I'm not generally a fan of power-scaling, but I acknowledge that it can be used well in some cases. "Cetrion barfs a space-laser in one of her fatalities, and she's an Elder God like Raiden, and Shao Kahn has beaten Raiden, so Shao Kahn can move at the same speed as the space-laser Cetrion barfed." is not one of those cases. Just the absolute dumbest and most uninteresting way you could have handled this fight.
They never said Raiden was an Elder God. He's a demi-god. And because he was able to keep up with a Raiden that was amped by ALL the Elder Gods, not just Cetrion, for a decent amount of time, it's reasonable to scale him to that feat.
@@dogzilla0578 Raiden isn't even a demigod. He's a lesser God. A demigod is someone like Rain, the child of the lesser God Argus and the mortal Deliah.
@@wingedbluj1674 True dat. But yeah, he's definitely not an Elder God.

@@wingedbluj1674 I hated that they dropped the "demi-god" status in there like nobody would notice in MK11. Raiden was ALWAYS a go proper in the previous games. That being said, I think they are trying to signify that Raiden was once a mortal before and then became a god, as Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat 1 says he too is a demi-god.
Edit: Look up the definition of a demi-god...
noun: demi-god
a being with partial or lesser divine status, such as a minor deity, the offspring of a god and a mortal, or a mortal raised to divine rank.
Not to mention "Tanking the Elder Gods' attack in 9" is garbage scaling because they didn't expect him to have that much power. They were basing it off of Shao before he absorbed thousands of Earthrealm souls despite the Soulnado being shut down.
No one in SF universe can match with Shao Kahn. And he's not even a Top 5 fighters from that franchise.
If Shao Kahn doesn't say "You suck!" or "Is that your best?" then this fight isn't 10/10
I hope he says both.
I hope they give the Akuma the “Die One-Thousand Deaths’ when he eventually pulls out the Raging Demon and Shao Khan actually loses 1000 souls but he just tanks it cuz he can manipulate the souls so he loses everything but his own
That's gonna cost Shao Kahn the battle I bet
Or also, "Fight!"
Shao Kahn killed Akuma so badly I have the membership
My biggest issue is that Shao Khan literally needed help walking after Liu Kang punched a hole in his chest. The moment he received the blow, Liu Kang was declared the winner of the tournament and everyone believed that he died. There should be no reason that he should be shaking it off and continuing the battle like nothing happened.
does not matter died or not he still lost and lui kang loses is either suprise attack or ganged up etc
Not only that the biggest wank fest of shao beating blaze 😂 even though it's never cleared what exactly happen its shown taven was the one to beat blaze and shao probably took advantage of a weaken opponent to take his power
@@malacaimar2271 Yea, but John Vogel does confirm on his Twitter before that Shao Kahn is indeed defeated Blaze. How the hell he escape from Onaga and come back defeating Blaze doesn't explain at all. NRS at that time doesn't care anymore, they just like screw it, we want to reset the timeline, make Shao Kahn the winner and retcon Taven's true ending. Taven basically got shaft so bad. He was the main protagonist of Armageddon, but the reset timeline make him nobody now
@@malacaimar2271 if he took the power of someone that defeated blaze then doesn't that make his just as strong if not stronger? Why are you guys using this as an anti feat? Regardless of how he gained the power he's still stronger than blaze.
@Wizard Lizard I think taven was on the brink of death when shao 3rd partied and bested him. Also MK lore is goofy and I just saw someone mentioned they redid the lore again 😂 so now they're both uncannon lol
I never knew I needed this I'm my life 😭 but thank you death battle you have made my procrastinating an art form
😮😮😮😮😮😮
With all the analysis that Wiz and Boomstick do it makes you wonder if the creators of the characters they go over in the show had all this incredible power in mind as in was it really intentional?.
Fun fact: Shao Kahn started out unmasked and with large gnashing teeth similar to Baraka, since everyone from Outworld was originally to be of Baraka's race. The idea of all inhabitants of Outworld being Tarkatans was later dropped.
Now I’m just picturing shao Khan with arm blades..
Shao Khan was so kind, he took his time to show the fighters from his universe how to win in a Death Battle, such a nice detail from Outworld's emperor.
Scorpion: Am I a joke to you?
@@nelkabenga3295 I was talking about a winning streak, but yeah, he's amazing too
yeah, Mortal Kombat hadn't won a fight since Sub Zero vs Glacius back in 2017 (could be missing one but Johnny Cage, Sindel and Goro all lost their matches)
Not really, the rules were forcibly applied by the Elder Gods.
Well the tally is 4 wins to 5 losses for MK
Winners:- Shao Kahn (twice), Sonya, Sub Zero, Scorpion
Losers:- Goro, Johnny, Sektor, Sindel, Shang Tsung.
Edit:- Raiden lost as well. My bad.
Honestly, with that “piledriver seen from space” as one of Mike Haggar’s feats, along with Zangief scaling to Balrog, DB could probably do a rematch between Haggar and Zangief.
Amazing video!!!
lol, Shao Kahn got owned by Earth Realm fighters, and just because you make up powers and strength for him, he would never win this fight.
Shao Khan: “You dare interrupt my tournament?”
Akuma: “A tournament that apparently no one cares about since I don’t see any spectators?”
Shao Khan: I bought 7 hours of air on TV.
*base liu kang at a distance*
Damn covid also hit outworld.
spectators, though
Lmao
I think my biggest criticism here is that they used Cetrion's Laser Beam as a speed feat. It's a fatality. It's fatal. He's not dodging it in gameplay or anything. It kills every time it's used.
Exactly, no one scales to it at all.
Even worse, they're saying that he is stronger than all of the Elder Gods just because he survived one attack from them. Smh, for one thing, they most definitely weren't taking it seriously, what kind of God would? 2nd, he still LOST that fight.
@@lucariothegodboi as someone who started with 9 I can agree but I can see where there coming from, shao kahn still lost that fight with raiden combined with the elder gods but the way the fight was portrayed it still required raiden to put in effort to win, I think the way they showed it was even though shao kahn lost that fight he was still able to keep up with raiden, unfortanetly I'm not that well verse in street fighter so I can't really say if akuma fought A similar opponent so I can't say my part.
@@mangaman1728 there was a a whole sequence where he fights asura from asuras wrath to a stalemate and he was strong enough to kill the being of creation but they fail to mention that anywhere but they choose to bring the Ancient ones into this im a little upset there was zero mention of that.
They also mentioned “Merging realms”was a destructive feat. Realms can be unmerged as nitara was able to do it.
Kahn also didn’t DESTROY earth just conquered it, he’s also a sore loser he needed Goro’s help to fight Onaga.
Anyone who has a problem with the outcome, please understand that Mortal Kombat characters have ridiculously inconsistent powerscaling:
being on par with Daniel laRusso & Rocky Balboa one second, then capable of throwing hands with Sasuke & Perfect Cell the next.
A death battle with M. Bison Vs. Shang Tsung would be cool.
I’d honestly prefer it to Shao Kahn
@@ItsButterBean1020 agreed.
Shang Tsung sucks souls,M. Bison uses his soul as a weapon...
Shang Tsung sucks him easily as that you know...
@@AllenTheAnimator004 Yea that would be tough for Bison.

Can't really call it a flawless victory when you have a big hole in your chest. Flawless victories are when you beat your opponent without taking a single hit.
Indeed. That was my one gripe here. Instead I wanted to see him look down at Akuma and sneer. "You Suck.'
Probably should've said "Shao Kahn wins....Fatality!!"
Are you seriously going to tell Shao Kahn otherwise?
Unwise
Shao Kahn really said 'Dis but a scratch'
Arrogance
"The Raging Demon... Its power is unequaled... It is not my fist but your past sins that will kill you... The more evil your past doings, the more painful your death..." ~Akuma, Street Fighter Alpha 3. So is that non-canon, or?
Glad you brought this up
Yeah I got all sorts of issues I question on this episode. I think Akuma should had won.
@@cheshire_skatkat9093 Me too, I feel that a lot of details were left out for both characters this episode.
@@eddabull7369 anymore DB seems to really be "cheaping" out.

the animation! the fight choreography! the voice acting! the lines/adlibs for the voice actors! this has got to be the most superb episode ever ! god i want more to look and feel like this.. i was heavily invested lol
Akuma has power to half the moon with just one punch
Shaos voice couldve been a tad better, overall it was great / fun to watch
Great video
What are the chances we get to see sabertooth vs Omega red. Would love to see them battle the death.
Weird they included the non-canon Shao Khan feats but not Oni fighting Asura in the same form he used to fight and kill Chakravartin the creator god of Asura's Wrath to a standstill.
What's the non canon shao kahn feats?
What non-canon feats of Kahn did they include? His destruction of a planet is literally what he does every time he conquers a world. Splitting a Moon is far less than that.
Can’t speak to the shao khan but I was also surprised they made no mention of Asura….honestly I’d love to see a death battle between goku and asura. That’s be epic.
I mean...Kahn did withstand a blast from Raiden empowered by Elder Gods. He is comparable to beings like Cetrion who can grow planet sized and shoot insanely fast lasers. He did defeat Blaze who if left undefeated, would destroy reality and literally every ending of MK:A, when someone gets his power, they basically become a reality warping god. These are canon. Meanwhile they are still giving Akuma non canon comic feats.
Not to mention how they don't mention how Shao Khan was killed by Kitana with a simple slash across the face, I'm convinced WB just pays for these outcomes at this point
When you realize the writers don’t understand the meaning of the word “flawless”.
to be fair
Kahn's so arrogant he'd say "Flawless Victory" even after this
bro won without a heart, and it said “Flawless Victory!”
Plot twist: Kahn bleeds to death soon after winning, realizing his victory was not flawless after all.
This is the one Death Battle I was confused never happened. Akuma and Shao Kahn seen more appropriate fighting eachother than M. Bison and Shang Tsung (who are a better match for eachother as well).
Yeah, they should’ve swapped the matchups. Only problem is that one of them would be an early Season1 episode.
@@ianhawke2203 I think the reasoning the matchups happened is because with Shang Tsung vs Akuma they are both the arch enemy of the their franchise's protagonist while bison vs shao kahn happened is because they are main the bad guy in the franchisees
Shao Kahn and m bison was a pretty good comparison since they are the main villains of their series, but akuma has nothing in common with Shang tsung
Same along with Alex Mercer vs Cole MacGrath, I wondered why these two haven't fought yet on here.
Did you know that Storm will get her spotlight in next battle
This was one of the most badass death battle fights I’ve seen in a long time but I'm sorry, that was not a flawless victory. This upcoming death battle between Storm and Korra is an utter stomp tbh it shouldn't even be fair

Shao Khan: *"t'is but a scratch"*

Yeah Storm is definitely going to win. She’s an omega level mutant and can control COSMIC storms.
Yeah
Korra really doesn’t have a prayer
It's going to be even worse with the fact that Korra won't have access to her past lives for the usual Avatar State buff.
Storm doesn't even need to do that. All she needs is a well placed lightning bolt.

What's funny, thanks to Mortal Kombat 1, which all but confirms all character endings in MK11 is canon, it means there is a canon version of Shao Kahn who became the titan of time, giving him power over all of creation in his timeline, and became more powerful than all of the Elder Gods combined (If Liu Kang's words about titan power is correct). So depending on how you want to look at it, and this is just me, Shao Kahn could've just erased Akuma from existence.
