My mother in law is from Ghana and married a White Brit. For her was easier to live in the UK or US than back in Ghana married to a white savior with privileged mixed children who will be seen as outsiders. She is just now bringing my wife and her siblings back to Ghana as adults. Possibly the same dynamic here.
Correct, also what some see as unique culture she sees as wanting to modernize. She does not want her kids to be exposed to that culture of doing some things at such an early age.

She gets to experience the best of both worlds, but Africa and specifically Kenya, was the place to be in the initial years. Got her quite grounded. Stronger family and social structures, good international schooling. Plus you can live much more comfortably with a good income as compared to Europe where it's quite expensive. But then Europe has it's benefits too such as universal healthcare, free education, systems that work etc. Whatever decision you make, wishing you best. You make a beautiful family and couple

Sadly pirates will probably get him 😔

He wants to them to live their life in the city but also visit the rural areas.
she's so fluent. I think German is the hardest language I have ever tried to learn.
Edit: Just remembered Tanzania was once a German colony before the British infiltrated East Africa
True.
Yup. And... Germany carried out its second g-side at the turn of the twentieth century in Tanzania (then Tanganyika) between 1905-1907. First one, almost simultaneously, was in Namibia (German South West Africa) between 1904-1908.
Learn Swiss German😂😂

Irene is a smart woman. She could have been a Doctor if she was given the opportunity. They both are lucky to find each other.
Gorgeous video thanks DW!!!

Oh woow, a lovely story
such a heartwarming story! 😊
Tanzania is such a beautiful country and probably have the calmest people in Africa.
Seems like the couple both have this “grass is greener on the other side mentality”.
Thank you for sharing this BEAUTIFUL ❤STORY, my vote is for Tanzania😀, as Tanzania needs doctor like CHRISTIAN, 👋 DW thanks ❤ for this Divine Wedding of IRENE & CHRISTIAN ❤️👍
What a beautiful story and family. I hope the very best for them..Thank you for telling it.😊🎉
6 million people loving this
What a happy interracial love story😍! May their mariage lasts & remains healthy.
I wish more African women encounter such happy ending✨. They deserve to taste what love is and provides regardless of skintone.
A wonderful pair gifted with a cute daughter. Christian's choice is wise, the couple will be better off in Tanzania: raising family and children in Europe/Germany ain't easy. Best of luck, folks !
Mr Christian will live the happiest life and respected by all Tanzanians. God bless the whole family.
What a beautiful Story ❤❤ i pray they find a middle ground and still be Happy as a family wherever they reside in the world
Wherever they go, whatever they do May their paths be blessed! I always love seeing mixed couples. They transcend all social boundaries, prejudices.
Love has no barriers!
What a beautiful wholesome couple. This is how human relations should be. Love between people no matter where you are from

Beautiful wife , but life in Tanzania is difficult world, good to come during summer for a month . That way kids & husband can get a piece of Tanzania. That way both world are different- like heaven & earth.
Lovely family, Irene is smart and pretty, wish them all the best in life!
This man is truly love her ❤️
Very good.
Both of them are beautiful, lovely, and humble.
Beautiful family. Beautiful couple.
So nice. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊
Thanks for watching!
I love how Europeans with free and open minds view and live life.
@@deidradahl2802 agreed. But I understand the husband's desire to help, that there is more meaningful work for him than in Germany, but they puts the pressure on his wife who has to shoulder the social dynamic that he can't understand.
I wish the Wife agree to live in Tanzania in a Big city where kids can good international school then husband opens a hospital, work with husband or start business then visit Germany once a year
Why would anyone want to visit Germany?
That country has died 30 yrs ago like the rest of that amazing might west🤷
Happy story ❤she speaks German fluently. I’m also married with a decent German man but I never want to live in Germany.😊
THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL TRUE LOVE.
LOVE KNOWS NO COLOUR
LOVE KNOWS NO PROFESSION
LOVE KNOWS NO CULTURE
LOVE KNOWS NO RACE
LOVE KNOWS NO SOCIAL STATUS
LOVE EMBRACES ALL AND ASSOCIATES WITH ALL. THAT'S WHAT I SEE HERE.

Very beautiful story, and family. Both of them are very brave.
He's so handsome and down to earth. I pray i find this kind of exotic love❤
Beautiful family ❤I’m so happy for Irene and her mom 🥰
What a beautiful story, wishing the couple all the happiness in the world. 😍
wow its real amazing to see love in the air.
we love you and appreciate you Christian.
Life in Europe is a lot of stress
If you think European stress is bad, try living in the prison house of nations called the USA. 😢😢😢
@@Coalwarrior2012oh really, i live in germany. Is there life heavy?

You made the right decision in a partner Irene!
They'll enjoy living here in Tanzania with small amount of money, a happy and upper middle class life. Karibuni Tanzania...
Congratulations on addressing the issues of a mixed couple. Specifically, Irene.
Bob, even i was surprised
@@PHlophe Irene should explain more about her concerns. I hope she is able to share her profound thoughts.
It is much better and more beautiful than Cinderla story 😍 ❤️ ♥️ 💕 it is real, and love found the way between both of them❤❤
Like he said, I hope they reach a happy compromise about where to live. If as a doctor he can provide an upper middle-class lifestyle for the family in Tanzania, that would be preferable. However his spouse also probably wants the economic opportunity in Germany and the better quality of life for the family and kids. I wish them the best, the kids are adorable.
Yeah she does not see the Diamond opportunity she has but she will know someday. Africa is beautiful and I would move tomorrow if I had that kind of opportunity
I wish Irene could see the benefits of bringing up the children in Africa, and perhaps move to Europe when they are older. Worked for my child quite well, and now as a teen we moved to the UK. You make a beautiful family and couple
well may be in their elementry school years they can stay in Tanzania and after then go back to Germany after that
What a beautiful family: I wish them all the best...
Love knows no boundaries but transcends all barriers 🙏🏿
Am praying and hope one day I’ll relocate back to my country uganda
Why is she seeing her motherland as an enemy? She must be suffering some inferiority complex,
Your name says it all.
Beautiful story
Beautiful stuff. Peace and love
This is beautiful
African culture is so rich.
I like this documentary
Thanks for watching!
What a lovely couple. I would like to see a follow up on them in a few years. I'm from Cameroon and now live in the US. I get how she feels. I have absolutely no plans on returning home to live there ever again if I can help it lol. Hopefully the husband isn't stubborn
Such a beautiful couple. Well done.
Africa has happened to Irene, when all you've ever known is poverty, sometimes you just don't want to be around that anymore
Am going to tanzania in august
Beautiful story and Beautiful family
I can see and appreciate both sides, but more so the wife's perspective. However, this does strike me as something that should've been discussed before they got married.
Good luck to them both they are obviously a loving couple. I hope howe ever that Christian gets his wish, I think it would be a great gift to his children although I can understand why Irene would find it difficult to see this. His children as adults would be likely to find it a wonderful and valuable gift.
As Tanzanian,I will choose to live in Tanzania
