  • BBC News Arabic’s undercover investigation exposes the people in Kuwait breaking local and international laws on modern slavery, including a woman offering a child for sale.
At the centre of this powerful investigative film is Fatou, a 16 year old in Kuwait City who has been there for nine months. We follow her rescue and journey back home to Guinea, West Africa and ask: what’s being done to control the apps promoted on Google, Apple and Facebook-owned Instagram?

Yes indeed.. but i don't see they are doing much to help improve the situation and ensure the d.workers have a safe place to go in their off days...
The simplest thing is to suggest to authorities is to build a dedicated facility where these domestic workers can go on their off days. A governmental facility where they can exercise, relax, chat and spend a documented one day off per week. This will ensure all domestic workers have one day off, and they can also complain to the authorities in case of abuse.
employers will be more carefull when they know authorities are watching and that they see the worker once every week.

Everyone is outraged at the traffickers, when in reality, they should be even more outraged at these billionaires in Silicon Valley who endorse & make human trafficking possible.
