My buddy was given his families base model civic in high school. He turbo’s it, blew it up, built it, blew it up, then after saving a shit tonne of money, they guy bought a fully billet block.
Probably makes about 700wheel now.
He’s out maybe 35 or 40 grand into the car, but that includes a bunch of rust repair, new interior carpet up, full paint job.
Car is pretty clean, it’s a car I’d rather own than my ‘18 WRX.

Yeah, Mazdas have the most goofy and happy looking front ends. The damn Mazda 3 looks like a 5 year old kid taking their 1st school photo. Cameraman said, "Big smile!" And the kid didn't let him down. Or, in this case, the car. Indeed, there's very little aggression to speak of when it comes to Mazda styling.

@@PoweredByLS2 kinda, the t-bird the Lincoln mark-7 the mercury cougar and the fairmont all had the fox body frame but only the capri looked like a mustang, there are some differences but it was close

The 3.8 in the fox4s does have some potential. Years ago in MM&FF there was one that ran 8s or 9s. So do the prior ones that are found in fox bodies and F150s to a lesser extent.
Best route is to drop in an f150 4.2 shortblock with good ported heads and a blower or turbo setup@ItsDaJax

Around 25 years ago I put near 8k in to my vg30dett (93 z) and it was awesome. If I could have afforded more I would have haha. Some V6s are worth the love. Sorry for the 'stories from an old man' moment haha
I agree. Small upgrades can make them as fast as their v8 counterparts. Especially in 90’s and early 2000’s cars. The 2000 v6 mustang was only 30 hp away from the 96 gt

If you have a older car that's still nice you can get into movies and videos that need period specific cars for the background. I'm going to try to get mine in a movie
