Guys, don't worry about your pronounsiation please. You can speak Russian (it doesn't matter if it is A0 or C1) - that's already amazing! Russians do really respect all learners of Russian language.
I study at a russian uni, we have some foreign students there. And, believe me, we, russian students, don't care about their accent AT ALL. The respect them strongly instead.
P.S. If you pronounse "ы" as "и" and "щ" as "ш" - it is ok, all the words would be absolutely understandable.
P.P.S. Who wants to have a language exchange? I speak German, English and Russian.
What is a language exchange?
@@justabo6188 just chatting in a foreign language
Oh, well, I speak English, Dutch and French fluently, my German is A2 lvl and my Russian and my Italian are barely A0.
I’d love to have a language exchange!
@@noelleoscarson1372 what do you speak?
At first "ы" was one of the strangest sounds in the language but now is one of my favorites, the tongue twisters are great
as a polish I don't understand that problem, and I think every slavic people can pronounce ы without any problem.
It's not a problem for English speakers either. We might slip into 'i' (ee) out of carelessness but yuri isn't that hard. Now the 'Здр' that starts the Russian 'Hello'...that's hard.
Nope, non-existent in ex Yugoslavia.
Non-existent in czech-slovak :)
@@mitchyoung93 yes your short ´i´ is actually not pure ´i´ like you pronounce - in the "ee´ case but somehow between i and ы so just make it a little bit more harder :d
Delabialised “u”
Hallo!
I am Turkish and it's the letter "ı" in our language, which we use with almost the same pronouncation in Russian words. So it was maybe the easiest letter in Russian for me. It never came into my mind a lot of people would struggle with that.
that turkish letter doesn't have a 'i' sound at end, it is unlike that of 'bI' sound
I'm korean and it sounds like our "ㅢ". Interesting!
And our ı 🇹🇷
@@kaya_parsomen_bicak Another reason for Türkiye and Korea to be brothers! Respect and love from Korea!
@@kaya_parsomen_bicak I think ı sounds even more "damped" than the Russian bI
It looks like a response video to Language Simp lol
Thank you! I have struggled with this and the video is helpful
That was very illustrative!! Good tricks!! Thanks!! =D
Very helpful
Wow, it’s like “ư” in Vietnamese
you are very decent beautiful folks, Nguen

@@nguyenvantien_0709 I m in the town of Essentuki.. Funny name for a town lol yeah, this is Russian southern provinces If the lady is curious, find "essentuki photos" in google
@@user-cb7ok5tq9b I feel your town name is not funny because it is your own identity, your own language. I have no right to laugh at your culture, be proud of your identity!
@@nguyenvantien_0709 Nguen lady thats too deep lol I only assumed Esentuki must sound odd for foreigners ...but the name is derived from the language of some native Caucasian tribe ...Its located in north Caucasus though the population is mostly Russians like myself
I loved the trick. Hugs from Brazil ❤🤗🤗🤗🇷🇺🇧🇷

ugh... yeah, so, the sound Ы makes exists in Romanian (also in Turkish, Irish, Welsh and English, in certain dialects) so it's not like it doesn't exist *anywhere* else in Europe. Would correct that at 1:48
Inace slovenski jezici. Ni izgovaranje ruskog mi nebi bio problem, jer jer izgovaram onako kako cujem.
The feeling its similar to chinese 饿, which is the first character for 俄罗斯 (Russia). It made sense for me, in case someone finds it helpful 🥰 (note: the 饿 has of course a "e" flavor (e like in eh, like in Spanish estrella) while ы has a i flavor (like see, or iglesia in Spanish).
woah the gle en iglesia sounds kinda like the ы, muy cool
Ц. We(my country) already have ш,щ,ы,ч
In Russian I find the 'ы' somewhat difficult, but being fluent in German (mother tongue) and English/Afrikaans (since age 8) it seems the 'ы' is a combination between a German 'ü' and 'i'.
That's a good way to think of it! Kinda between a ö~ü and i.
Pronounce "TOI" many times in a row with stress on the "I".
It'll be Russian "ТЫ".
Etymologically correct is Т ЪI
Т ЪI = TOI (Ъ = schwa sound !)
@LanguageSimp YOU LIED TO ME!!!!
no era UY entonces? :(
CAP
Am I wrong if I have the impression that it is quite like the Romanian â and î?
If it is not the same, can someone explain to me the difference?
It is indeed the same, at least if we're talking about standard Russian and standard Romanian, not really sure about other dialects.
Nice video, that's indeed a very difficult sound to produce! What happend btw to the old videos with Anya and Ira? I could always learn really well with them :/
They left the project and asked to remove all videos with them in order to protect their safety. This is a huge loss for everyone and we were heartbroken to have to do that, but we hope that maybe one day in better circumstances it’ll be possible to bring them back.
3:30 A guy in a tiger costume was on a electric board in the background. 😭😭😭
The "ы" sound like "ưi" in Vietnamese, so it's not really hard for me to pronounce it when I started learning Russian :v
It is funny how many of the people in the video thought ы was unique but it is not true. The sound also exists in the turkic languages at least in Turkish it does. In fact from my point of view the concept of the letter ь is the hardest

С, Ш, Щ, ц 😂
Estonians have the "õ" or "Ы" sound
nothing difficult, it is like english short i but more harder

It’s like that vowel sound in between b and l in the English word - table.
