They got Vader right in this game. He's not known by the galaxy yet, he's just this unknownable, unbeatable force, his power is utterly overwhelming and you can feel how palpable the fear is from the characters themselves. Vader isn't a fallen Jedi or sith in Fallen Order, he's a monster.

They probably shouldn’t have brought Cere back from the dead. The ending would have had much more of an emotional impact that way. But Cal escaping Vader on his own is just too unbelievable.
Vader was definitely just toying with him. 100% Vader let him go, why capture him when he can literally follow him and murder everyone who’s either against the Empire or is force sensitive.
I think it should have been like this: He lands on stage and kills Trilla and faces both of them. Then for like 30 seconds they both try and team on Vader but obviously being Lord Vader he eventually gets the upper hand force pushes Cal away and gets Cere in a saber lock, Cere knowing it is the end for her yells at Cal multiple times to run until he eventually does, then Vader kills her and that chase scene starts. Then maybe in the underwater hallway scene, Vader tries to turn Cal into an inquisitor or tries to bribe him into giving up the Holocron but Cal uses the force to crush the glass tube which buys him just enough time to escape. That I think would have been a lot more impactful and realistic. And although I think the story writers were going for what Seth Hauck said, they should have explicitly mentioned that Vader wanted him alive for something more as it is left quite vague as to why Cal was actually able to escape Vader.
I love this whole sequence for one main reason (well two, but this one's more important to me at least): this appearance getting spoiled still doesn't take away from the impact of the scene. It's still as terrifying, fear inducing when you actually finally get to the part. They really outdid every Star Wars movie's portrayal of Vader. Putting him up as a boss you can't even beat, then turning it into a Resident Evil-like chase sequence is just a fantastic design choice for such a badass character as this.

Only Rogue One and Fallen Order brings Vader's almost demigod-like power into perspective : Why he was universally feared, so well marked in Trilla's terrified eyes and her absolute collapse of strength on simply hearing his breathing behind her.
You are nothing more than a flee to Vader in this game. Unless you're a powerful Jedi or Sith, you shouldn't even be near him. The difference in power from a average force user and Vader is huge. Let's not even get started with Darth Sidious...
Right before you hear Vader's breathing in the background you can hear the sound effect that plays when you Force Pull / Grip enemies, and she starts visibly struggling in place. Vader was holding her in a choke / grip before he even showed himself because he knew she was about to surrender / return to Cere.

A fictional character gave a grown man goosebumps?!?!?! I'm scared of Vader and he's my favorite fictional character.....I'm scared of a fictional character
😂
“He’s clearly stopped her from moving” yeah with straight up fear
Yep. Becoming unable to move due to sheer fear is an actual thing to.
You can hear him force grip her right before you hear him breathing. It's that sound like leather tightening
Last reaction goes hard, she knows that everyone in that room was doomed that very moment
@@SlimeyZockt frrr
Well the reason that one was calling Vader dad well to be fair he is also called Darth Daddy by others
True that
and because the English translation to the Dutch word Vader is father.
@@CRAZYR071166 really that’s very interesting
I love Star Wars Theory’s reaction when Cere gets yeeted.
Idk why, but when he appeared I was shocked, despite a trailer of the game already hinting at it. In that trailer, before Trilla said "he's searching for something...", you could hear a faint macanical breathing.
It's one of those moments when you know what'll happen but are still amazed.
Darth Vader truly was HIM
Darth Vader creates more fear than Batman does
That's because Vader kills, batman doesn't
The way my jaw dropped when i first heard the breathing. I was sweating after fighting the last boss (took me 4 days to beat her)
Some random dude in all black and mechanical asthma breathing
Yeah accurate description of fear and death
Love how the one girl says "I have no health left" like vader's not the villain that'll one hit you at full health on easy 💀😂😂😂😂
Well none of these looks like fans as soon as i heard the footsteps i knew..... and i was crying there.
If this were an actual fight the objective would be “Survive”
FR
The longer you drag it, he gets a 90% rage buff, which stacks every 5 seconds
I’m sorry but if you don’t recognize Vader by his breathing, why are you even playing this game🤦🏼♂️
Cal Kestis: I have defeated top-tier Inquisitors and even a Jedi Master!
Vader: Imma end this man’s-sorry boy’s whole career
so true
When I saw him I cried with Joy
I love vader
Anakin’s Dark Deeds is a perfect score/theme for Darth Vader.
I like how vader just gives gosebumps to evryone literally every one everytime I watch it I get them
What I loved is how Vader is mentioned on a few notes and I think also Ceere talk about him but till the end he clearly have more important shit to do, until an inquisitor that he trained failed he's forced to take action, instead of just showing him from the beginning like "why Vader chasing a rookie Jedi?" And how they didn't actually planned a fight, you can't beat Vader because CAL HAS NO WAY OF BEATING HIM, like Afro said
"Cal is just a dude named Todd who got toss into all of this".
The gamer who does not get excited when first hearing Vader breath is "only" a gamer and not a Star Wars fan. That is of course not a problem at all.
I love how the gamers are as scared of Vader as the characters are.
I love how the later ones immidiately know its vader just through his first exhale, the first few had no clue
He’s like Sephiroth but Star Wars 😭
Everybody be a bad ass until they hear Darth Vader breathing.
"He's clearly stopped her from moving."
Yeah, with fear
With the force, but close enough
The last one was the reaction I was waiting for, my exact reaction & I thought I was done for sure 😮💨
Once you hear that breathing you should already know who that is
That wasn't a boss, that was a certain death and you have to run from him.
The "I have no health left" girl was ME during this moment in the game. 🤣
This is Vader before his appearance in Rebels and well before Rogue One
I feel like it's just me who freaks about how Darth Vader effortlessly force threw Cere.
To me it is just an important part of that cutscene to show how powerful Darth Vader is,
After cere broke a window he literally held back the entire weight of the water, you don’t fuck with the youngling slayer
Thats me irl .."I have no health!"
"I don't have any health left"
We both know all the health in the verse ain't gonna help.
the second one was so shocked she forgot to give expressions
I don't know how they did it but his mask and helmet are tweaked just a bit to look absolutely terrifying this is a true tribute to the Darth Vader us prequel kids grew up with just seeing him means death
6:47 This girl confused Cal with Luke Skywalker, because the famous scene that Vader says: I'm your father, because I'm new to the Star Wars universe and because the two are male protagonists, he got them confused lmao
Vader means Father. "Maybe" she called dad for that. But I have high doubts.
Could be
Any other came from passion but man, 1:05 is when you play video games only for money, this gal is dead inside :/
Any other franchise: Oh no it's the baddie he's gonna kill us
Star Wars: Hell yeah it's Daddy Vader please choke us .
everyone gangsta until the man in black shows up
That second reaction just totally accepted welp.....I'm dead
Cal: That doesn't look good
Me: NO SHIT SHERLOCK
Its all fun and games until you have to fight Darth Vader
As the first lady said that he stopped her from moving, no and yes, that is just fear
2:20 Is that Darth Vader?? Nah girl that breath is from jabba after doing a 10km run on Tatooine 😐
😂
"I have no health left" that shit at me rolling😂.
the second "streamer" who doesn't even react when Darth Vader came, I wouldn't even give her credit to be in this reaction video
He made sure he had the high ground
