@Jeff Thomas, excellent observation. I was under the impression that Anakin was wondering what happened to his only apprentice. They were very tight throughout the Clone Wars:)

I thought that Vader holding a Jedi blue lightsaber for just a moment, in contrast to a Sith red one, was perhaps a nod to the idea of the "good" that still there; some small part of Anakin that years later Luke would sense and urge him to return to.
This is the last time we ever see Vader with a blue lightsaber. It really shows the duality of Vader still battling with his inner Anakin. Silently contemplating his choices leading up to this point but knowing he can't turn back after what he's done.
@@rikk319 It's a bit of both. Anakin is absolutely responsible for his sins because he could have moved to make them right long before it came to this. But Palpatine Groomed him to become Vader, clearly and deliberately. He manufactured Anakin's isolation.

The last season of Clone Wars, Obi Wan, Tales of the Jedi and now Andor did so much to give depth to the prequels. You understand so much more. It hits you emotionally deeper because you know there was so much pain and suffering.
When the series first came out in 2008, some of us were kids when it came out. Then out of no where, the series ends in 2014, brings in Rebels for 3/4 years and then another couple of years later, they bring back Clone Wars for 1 last season to where it all ends. I don't think none of us ever expected the series to end like this
I was born in 2008 so i didnt experience the early star wars stuff, but i was attached to star wars and when rhe final season came out, i was there, atleast there to watch the last season unfold
@@TherealSoggyCan I was born in 1969. Episode 4 came out when I was 8 years old, and it was groundbreaking, though not as deeply affecting as Empire was 3 years later. I find it ironic that so many fans my age find fault with later segments of the saga, like the Prequels and such, because they've all built on the legendarium. Just like real life, you don't always get to choose what life brings you--but you get to choose how to react to it. Just like Anakin.
Yk it actually makes me tear up how this ends. Watching the whole show got me so attached to Anakin. It's like it's surreal to me. There's no way he's in there.. That's not him. It's so heartbreaking. I hate it and love it at the same time. I love him so much and he'll always be my favorite character. But this ending hurt, hurt like hell.
The "persona" of Vader was just Anakin's psyche trying to remove the guilt of his misdeeds from himself. He was never two people. He was always just Anakin, a complicated, flawed, and deeply emotional person who always had the choice, like we all have, to go towards the light or the darkness, every moment of our lives.
Vader picking up the lightsaber and looking up at the sky is so beautifully done. And the music too! Once a man who was loved and respected by all, now a husk, in pain, guilt and shame forever. What a fantastic ending.
I found it really cool that every reaction gave him like a moment of silence when he ignites the lightsaber. Like everyone including Anakin was mourning that moment it’s beautiful
the scene of vader walking away in the troopers helmet visor is symbolic for what it means "The Empire was built on the ashes of the republic"so by seeing vader vanish in the helmet visor it marked the end of an Era . The end of the Republic the end of the jedi order and the End of the Clone Wars
You could feel a part of him sadden at the realization that Ashoka was quote on quote dead but when they meet again you could tell a part of him wanted her to be his apprentice again
This scene hit me like a punch to the gut. The climax of the Clone Wars (the actual war, I mean) was nothing less than apocalyptic. The dawn of the Empire and the death of the Republic, and the Jedi. Nothing would ever be the same. This ending drove that point home in a way that Revenge of the Sith didn't.
That final shot is the best ending shot i've seen for a show. The 4 main characters Anakin, Ahsoka, The Clones, and The Republic are represented in it. Obviously the physical helmet of the Clones with the visage of Ahsoka, the reflection of Anakin and the scenario of the Republics fall to the Empire.
My god it’s like Vangelis did the score for this scene ….the music is telling us Anakin and not Vader is there. No matter how evil the empire is it can never defeat love and that’s what we are seeing ❤️
No, she lost one lightsaber, left the other. And that owl is originally from the mortis arc, seen here, and then rebels. It is the signification on how obi wan is the father, ahsokathe daughter, and anakin the son Itsaprimate has never seen rebels XD. They both find out they're both alive
As a Star Wars fan, I watched all your reactions. It makes me tear up because this series and the movies mean so much to us. The ending of the clone wars series gave us closure. And the bad batch giving us more closure along with rebels. It makes me happy to be part of a huge community. I was bullied for loving Star Wars, and to see all these reactions makes me happy that I was not alone. Star Wars is and will always be a huge part of my life and part of me. I hope I meet someone who can share that with me and sit in and watch these series over and over with. May the force be with you all.
Star Wars, movies 1-6 and the Clone Wars series is the story of the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. Episode One, he took his first steps into the Force and Episode Six he saves his son and redeems himself before dying. I know Lucas said something different, but I always felt Anakin fulfilled his purpose as the Chosen One when he greatly reduced the number of Jedi and then later killed the Emperor, bringing true balance to the Force.
Well technically they weren't the lightsabers Anakin gave to Ahsoka...they were hers to begin with but she left them behind when she left the Jedi Order. All Anakin did was tweak them a bit and change their crystal color to blue.
Watching the last season felt like there was some sort of impending doom coming, I knew how it would end, but I wanted it to end differently. I grew up with Star Wars in general but definitely mostly grew up with the clone wars, and even though I knew how anakins fate would play out, seeing him in the Vader suit for those 30 seconds hurt more than in revenge of the Sith. It was like watching a good friend of yours die in front of you
Hearing his breathing and seeing him appear on screen for this scene hit me like a ton of bricks. I gasped and just starred in awe. I obviously knew what the outcome would be but to see Vader for the first time in this series was something else. Such an emotional series finale, and what a way for it to end. No words are spoken in the last few minutes but the silence is so loud. I wish I could experience this finale for the first time all over again.
I have never ever seen a singular version or entrance of Darth Vader that was more intimidating and held more weight than that of the clone wars Darth vader
You can tell who is emotionally invested and just watching this scene taking in the moment when they hardly speak anyone who continually talks or asking questions in such a somber scene I just don't understand those people fans or not
It makes you wonder if perhaps Ahsoka could have gotten in contact with Anakin she might have been able to save him… the only person he felt wasn’t trying to push him away.
To this day I couldn't bring myself to watch season 7 because it was just that haunting... I cried at this entire sequence. And i feel my hearr the sink and disintegrate from the sheer emotional weight and punch.
I like to think the Sister's Owl was there as a reminder to Anakin: remember Mortis. Remember the Ones. Remember what they sacrificed, only for him and Palpatine to destroy everything
@TimberlakeTigerGirl The Father clearly didn't want the timeline to continue the way it did as he tried to change Anakin's fate. It might have been the Will of the Force that caused Anakin to become Vader and then kill Palpatine, but the Father wasn't really concerned with that during the Mortis Arc
@ChrisVillagomez If that's the case, why did the Father erase Anakins' memories when he was given the vision to the future? He literally said,'What is to happen shall'.
@TimberlakeTigerGirl Because he realized that he couldn't change Anakin's fate at that point and no longer had a choice but to continue with the Will of the Force. If the Daughter hadn't died, perhaps he could have still changed Anakin's fate and convinced him to remain on Mortis with the Son and Daughter, but the Son killed the Daughter and that whole plan went out the window. Plus, it's literally always bad when people learn about possible futures in Star Wars, they end up doing something stupid that gets people hurt or killed like Anakin thinking Padme would die or Luke going to Cloud City before he was ready and losing his hand
Anakin , looking up and seeing the Owl knowing that both Rex & Ahsoka are dead ( he thinks so anyway ) As if he was silently saying goodbye to them. Darth Vader is all that’s left.
Anakin coming out of the shadow of Vader to remember even for just a moment of who he was. Before the Empire. And even though he may not say it or show it, he regrets every single thing that led to his new life as Vader. The moment he reignites the saber, all those memories from the Clone Wars come back to him, and you can tell he does in fact think about it. But once he puts away the lightsaber, Vader once again takes over, Anakin deep within.
I think it’s Anakin, I think Darth Vader was always Anakin. He just suppressed his old personality with Vader’s personality. Until you know, Luke turned him back.
