      No, it's simple enough as long as you have an address in a EEA country (and you can get there to start the process)

    What's the stop you just pausing this video at around 10 secs. Screen grabbing the label from the top right of the scree.
    Then printing it out and then attaching it to your drone? 😉

      coz you also need the authentic certificate from DJI and they'll only send that to you when your application process is complete and you have sent them a pic with the label they send you attached to your drone (with the drone's serial number) :)

    Hi @Windswept Robert - thanks for the share of this video. One of my drones in a Mavic 3 Classic, which sadly didn't come with the C1 classification sticker - I'm also located in Scotland. Spoke with DJI numerous times advising I was going to EU country on holiday and it would be advantageous to get the label beforehand. Like you, was advised to go through the request procedure once in the EU and it would be posted out - but could take up to 10 days, and would need to be sent to the address of the holiday villa I was staying at.
    Based on the fact I would be heading back to Scotland by the time the C1 sticker would potentially arrive at the holiday villa, I went on my holiday travels with my Mini 3 Pro instead.
    Strange thing is though, upon my return to Scotland there was an envelope in the pile of mail, from DJI, with a single C1 class sticker lol! So least I have it for next time I guess, however seriously considering selling it to get the Mini 4 Pro - time will tell :-)

      If you do decide to sell it, let me know please - I'll buy the sticker from you! (Even if you don't sell it, would you be interested in selling the sticker anyway?)

    How does one in the US do this before traveling to Europe to fly?

    It seems crazy that DJI expect UK customers never to leave their shores.

    Does this also applies to a mavic 3 classic bought outside of the EU?

  • @uptowndisco2

    My Mavic 3 Classic came with the C1 info stenciled in white on the drone, I think I got one of the last ones with C1 before they stopped selling that version in the UK (I think) I also have the Mavic 3 Pro ( 2 lense version It came with no clasification markings )

      I think the Classics and the Pros have the C1 label on them, but the Mavic 3 doesn't.

      @@WindsweptRobert I purchased the DJI 3 Mavic but it didnt come with the C1 sticker. I appli9ed to DJI and recieved a pack of C1 for the arm, 2 X V2 for the sides a black sticker for the battery compartment and an 83 sticker for the side. Kerry Ireland.

    What restrictions are there in the UK on drones like the Mavic 3, which are over 249 gm Robert? Thanks for the heads up.

    • @WindsweptRobert
      @WindsweptRobert  9 месяцев назад +1

      50m separation with A2CoC, 150m separation without A2CoC, Pete. Same VLOS and 120m max height AGL.

      CAA are now on about changing the rules though, so something less than 900 gms, might be allowed closer, but not over uninvolved people ? @@WindsweptRobert

      Aye 50m separation is around 150ft. 150m is almost 500ft. Whit sort o people are gaunny even notice a drone at that distance away ? Christ, if yer drone crashed a hunner feet away fi them they widny even ken. I honestly feel the CAA got confused between meters and feet tae be honest. Aye safety is paramount, ( but we all ken if it wiz up tae health an safety, nothing wid get built in this country) 😉😉

      @@WindsweptRobert There a few ways to spoof the GPS on a phone, I wonder if there is a way to do that on other devices, like drones? If so, get the label sent to a member so they can forward it to you.

      @WindsweptRobert  9 месяцев назад

      Ok, I can now confirm after having installed a VPN to my RC Pro and setting to a few different EEA countries, the pop up does not appear. I can only assume that the Mavic 3 must be in the EEA country as well as the controller.

    Well, ye were never gaun tae get a pop up while yer in the U.K. Robert. Thing is, if ye were only gaun abroad fur a week say, do they send the label to where yur stayin ( surely gaunny take some time ? ( I sent a postcard frae Majorca tae ma brother and he finally received it twa weeks efter we wur hame, an we wur oot there fur a fortnight) Here’s an idea fur ye,, if ye ken anywan wi a Cricut printer and software, get them tae print ye a wee sticker off afore ye gaun abroad ( extensively) Put it on yur drone afore ye go, then unlock it whilst yur sat on the beach in Magaluf or Torremolinos 😉😉😉
